Is it safe to use this with ESO 1.5.2? I don't want to lose my library (of course I'll back it up before I launch). Thanks.

As long as you back up your saved variables, just go ahead and try it out. You'll always have the backup if something goes wrong

You should use the information from this addon to make another addon listing the locations of all the eidetic memory books for us obsessives.

Latest Update 1.6.1 reports as 1.6.0 in ESO Addons Manager

Sweet addon (never having used it before). Downloaded the last update Librarian-1.6.1.zip and installed but had to allow out of date addons as well as found Librarian is still reporting as 1.6.0. Will this be fixed?

Thanks!

The addon was last updated at: 03/29/15 11:59 PM
So yes, it should be out of date But as long as it works just enable "Out of date addons" in the addons list and it will just keep on working as it should.
Out of date only means that the addon was not created for the current game's version. If no lua error message will be shown: Everything works as intended.

Oh crap. You're right Baertram! I was looking at the date of the update and had read 2016 and not 2015! Oh well, I'll make the necessary adjustments.

The addon still works for the most part but I crash sometimes when searching through books and every time when I try to scan for old books.

Is there a command to mass mark books as read?

A feature I'd really love to see is a way to leave a note on a book, somewhere. I'd like to be able to have a small note for myself that helps me remember what happened in a book that I already read or give myself a quick summary when I run across it again.

And if the feature is something doable, perhaps also a separate note thing that lets me write down interesting lore notes and perhaps even link it to the book from which I learned it.

For the notes you could use this addon:
http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1105-Notebook.html

Talk to the addon dev if it's possible to insert something like a link to a book. Maybe it is doable.

About your other request with the note directly inside the book, I'm not sure if this would be doable.
Maybe if one can read the current book and current book's page, and open the book directly at this page by the help of the API.

I'm bad about checking these comments, lol. I catch them on the addon itself much faster, Fyi. I'll see what I can do about marking things mass read.

As far as notes go, putting a pin in that one for now. Not sure if it's possible. I've got my hands full the next 2 weeks with PAX East and a couple other things, but I'll circle back on this.

Issue after last update (Horns of the Reach)

I'm getting this error msg, but not with all books.

Nords of Skyrin for example give to me that error.

I hope that is a easy thing to fix because I love this addon.

Replace "LoreReader" with "LORE_READER" on the line mentioned in the error message, ie in the file <your-addons-folder>/Librarian/Librarian.lua line 516.

Then run /reloadui if you are already inside the game.

Exclamation

I also have this error slighty differently:

user:/AddOns/Librarian/Librarian.lua:516: attempt to index a nil value stack traceback:

user:/AddOns/Librarian/Librarian.lua:516: in function 'Librarian:ReadBook'

user:/AddOns/Librarian/Librarian.lua:563: in function 'LibrarianRow_OnMouseUp'

LibrarianFrameList1Row1_MouseUp:3: in function '(main chunk)'

is there a new version of the add-on coming soon ?
