Pings for party members

I was wondering if it's possible for an addon to send map location information to other users so that all members of a party may ping the map for other members to see instead of only the party leader being able to. Sending pings to players outside of your party would be helpful as well. I believe this is necessary for good communication in-game.

AFAIK anyone in a party can set a mapping via ctrl+click.
Only the group rally marker is leader exclusive.

Sending locations to players outside your group is possible, but will require you to manually send the necessary data via some channel (e.g. chat, mail) to them.
