Usually that means there is a misconfiguration in the config file for Minion that doen't show up until you restart Minion.

Can you post your minion.xml and minion0.log located under the .minion folder under the windows user profile directory?
C:\Users\<your windows username>\.minion\

That should allow me to see what is going on.

I don't think you have the same problem as the original poster. If its stuck on the splash screen with the Minion logo on it with no errors... That means Minion can not connect to the internet.

Please check your firewall and security software settings and make sure its not blocking the domain mmoui.com. If you need help with that let me know what security software you are using

Are you using any proxies? Some are browser extensions that allow you to view videos from other countries?

Hi, sorry about hijacking this thread. I have the same issue as original poster. Loading those three items, and it just sits there, I have left it for about an hour, thinking it would find what it is looking for. But alas no.
Here is my info.....

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
-<minion>
<config-version>2</config-version>
<version>2.0.0-SNAPSHOT</version>
<build>67df20b7e2a9cfa3fdd7e51b26878b169892aa6e</build>
-<client>
<concurrent-updates>2</concurrent-updates>
<game-scan-depth>4</game-scan-depth>
</client>

-<games>
<game unique-game-id="ESO-1" game-id="ESO" auto-update="true" addon-path="G:\My Docs\Elder Scrolls Online\liveeu\AddOns"/>
</games>
</minion>

And the log file looks like this..............

That doesn't look like the correct path. Is your addons folder actually there when created by the game itself? Or is it in C:\Users\<user name>\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online ?

G:\My Docs\Elder Scrolls Online\liveeu\AddOns is where the addons are located.
I have a 1TB drive that is partitioned to c:\ and g:\. All my addons in the folder work fine ingame. I am hoping to use Minion to manage the updates etc. Thanks for looking tho.

HI Dustmeister, it looks like you edited the minion.xml manually? Paths are encoded in utf8->base64 when using <config-version>2</config-version>.

If you want to add the path manually like you did you'll need to use a tool like this to encode the path.

You'll want to replace this:
Code:
<game unique-game-id="ESO-1" game-id="ESO" auto-update="true" addon-path="G:\My Docs\Elder Scrolls Online\liveeu\AddOns"/>
with the following:

Code:
<game unique-game-id="ESO-1" game-id="ESO" auto-update="true" addon-path="RzpcTXkgRG9jc1xFbGRlciBTY3JvbGxzIE9ubGluZVxsaXZlZXVcQWRkT25z"/>
OR delete your minion.xml and change the path inside Minion and it will hadle the encoding.

Thanks Dolby.
No, I certainly don't mess with editing files, it is bulk standard out of the box. I deleted the minion file, got the User License Agreement again, logged in with my email account and got the same error.
Unistalled, rebooted, went through the registry and deleted anything to do with Minion, rebooted, reinstalled and still have the same problem.

If I had hair I'd pull it out

Oh well, back to Nexus Mod Manager for me.
Thanks for trying guys.

Good news, I left it running for about 15 minutes and suddenly VOILA it popped up and said "Hey Dustmeister I see you have add-ons already installed"

So it is working at last. Dunno what did the trick, but thanks for the help.

Thanks Dolby. I had exactly the same issue and changing the default path with the encoded correct path fixed that for me.

As a suggestion, a non-encoded path might be *a lot* better for troubleshooting.

My AddOns path is also not located at "%userprofile%\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns". I have a small SSD with OS and my Documents folder location was moved to my much larger mechanical D: drive. I think Minion may have an issue with that. The odd thing is that my other computer is set up the same way, but there has been no issue at all.

I was messing with NTFS juctions and using DropBox to sync my files, that may have confused Minion and it would not let me change back.
