I don't see this going away anytime soon. The ability to see other people's DPS was due to an unintended bug that came about after they redid some things. This is clearly an intended design that has existed for years now, so why change it now? Besides, there was someone whining that add-ons being able to see other people's guild sales because its listed in guild history was an invasion of their privacy and that never changed.

Stuff like this makes me feel that people need to stop playing an MMO if they're so bothered by others seeing what they're doing. Kinda surprised no one's asked for the ability to go completely invisible yet in PvE so people can't see what quests they're doing.
