Date and time in changelogs

Is it possible to have these automatically added to changelogs? I like to know when were addons updated, and possible figure out how active development is based on that information.

The change logs are not standardized. They are just a text box, which addon authors can put whatever they want into. Changing the behavior of every addon author to display dates is simply not feasible.

That said, the information you want is already available in many places.

My idea was to automatically slap a timestamp to a changelog when it's added or something.
