Global trade search tool needs YOUR help.

By running our addon and client. Your guild listings as well as any item you seen by using guild store search function will be automatically upload to the site for other people to search and browse. The collected data will also be used to generate price info for everyone~

If you want to contribute more to the community or if you wish to help boosting up your guild's sale by uploading an entire guild's listings, you are more than welcome to do so!

Here are some screen shoots of the site, addon and client

Install Instruction:

1. Download and unzip the files under ESO addon folder (default is Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns) Or you can install it with Minion
2. When you are playing ESO, run the client executable (client.exe) under Client folder
3. Enjoy the game

In game API
1. To get TTC's price info simply do TamrielTradeCentrePrice:GetPriceInfo(itemLink)
This will return a TamrielTradeCentre_PriceInfo Object
Code:
{
       Avg,
       Max,
       Min,
       EntryCount, --# of listings
       AmountCount, --total # of items
SuggestedPrice --suggested price low. Suggested high = SuggestedPrice * 1.25
}
2. To get TTC's internal item information (various internal Ids)
TamrielTradeCentre_ItemInfo:New(itemLink)

Q:How does this addon work?
The addon collects all the item listings that you seen in the guild store and uploads them to the site. The site then uses all the data collected by all players to generate price info for everyone.
You can also use the website to search for the location of an item using way better filter than the default Guild store GUI. But it is not guarantee the item is still there since low price items tends to get sold fast. You will have to use your own judgment based on the last seen column to predict whether its still available.

Q:How is the suggested price calculated?
1. Remove outliers
2. AVG(price of the lowest 30% items) * 0.8

Q:Whats the difference between MM's price and TTC's price?
TTC uses the listing price and the MM uses sold price. By statistic and Economic, those two numbers should align given enough sample set

Q: How fresh is the pricing data?
Very fresh! Naw im kidding, its based on Data from yesterday

Q: How big is TTC
It uses around 6mb of RAM for pricing info and around 20mb at most for entries you have seen.

Detailed Instruction
FAQ
4.17 Release Log:
1. Fixed an UI error for Spanish client

4.16 Release Log:
1. Adopts to the new guild history API that was introduced in U41

Known issues:
1. Font change that came with U41 broke the unicode encoding. TTC's additional language setting will cause the game to freeze. As a result all language related settings are removed from the settings page until this is fixed.

2. No longer adds divider if no price info is available

Client 3.24 Release Notes:

4. Fixed an issue causing last updated string to show up in native client's locale instead of target locale when using price to chat with a different locale than the native one.

a) Price not showing in store page when AGS is enabled
b) UI error when trying to purchage item when AGS is enabled
2. Updated the logic for personal listings to be consistant with community scanned ones. Last seen for personal listings will only get updated when user opens the guild store and click on the listings tab or when user lists new item/remove existing item from the store. (Used to be based on user's last login. However ZOS's API seems to skip some entries and thus causing the cached version to be unreliable. Causes more confusion than good to use the login time due to this)
3. Fixed an issue causing price to chat to show up multiple times when the language of the current client's locale is selected
4. Uses sub menu for price to chat when there is more than one language selected
5. Removed the one time guild store scan due to point 2

P.S. due to some backend structure change the saved settings will be reset. Your price data will stay safely since its downloaded from the server.

Client 3.22 Release Notes:

3. Added the ability to do price to chat in different languages regardless of client's locale

Known issue: The new ESO Guild Store UI has a bug which it will not update the UI listings when the search is initiated with API calls. Thus you are going to see the search result panel stay the same thru out the whole scan process.

P.S. New items will be added in batch. Thanks for your patience.

virus?

So after updating today TCC was removed by the windows virus system with a detected threat of Trojan:Win32/Woreflint.A!cl. I thought perhaps it had something to due with the updater and so tried to reinstall using Minion. It was again removed for the same reason. So at this point I just have to remove TCC and consider the whole thing untrustworthy (which it was already suspect given the need to have a client installed on my system.

If people can find tons of listings at $100 why would anyone bother with the ones asking for $500. If all the $100 got sold out then people will start paying for the lowest ones maybe say $200. This will continue until an equilibrium is reached.
Ahh got it, so it is by design that it doesn't actually take into consideration 2/3 of the listings. I can see where this is handy for those buying, but a whole lot of players use this information for selling as well, and in their case (my case even) I would prefer that the average market price shown actually be the average market price, not the average of the bottom 1/3 of the listings.

Oddly, the system has worked for years and my TTC values used to align pretty closely with my MM/ATT values on items, but over the past 6 months or so the deviation has become greater and greater. Whether this is from more people playing, having extra time to play, the sticker book, more flipping due to previous reasons, or whatever... the prices TTC is giving now are not even close to market value except on very high turnover items like common crafting mats.

Any chance you can change it to list the actual average selling price of items? The suggested prices seem fine, as those have a range and the top end of your suggested prices seem to get close to reality on most of the items I checked, its just the "average price" that is somewhat misleading nowadays.

Honestly, it is pretty weird how the current world situation has affected things you would have never expected, like the economy in an MMO! But I guess, people just have way to much time at home now.

So basically what the last update did was completely remove the function of posting listings with user names.

Thanks

I was really happy with the way things worked with the login option, cause that way no matter if I changed guilds, the listings on the website were always kept up to date. It simply means the auto scanned ones and your personal ones will be handled the same way. Before the change there will be one possible duplicate. One from community scanned entry one from your personal uploaded entry.

After the change those two will become one. Think about it like this:

Before the change you are the only one that can maintain your listings. So if you are asleep when the location swaps then it will only be updated when you wake up

Now those two list become one. It might get updated by someone else even before you are awake. Or it could still by updated by yourself if you are awake when the swap happens.
basically the last update combines the two. community listings are going to show @name and the old ones will get phased out.

Idea is really simple. You used to own your personal account and you need an account to post stuff. Right now everyone is sharing one account and its maintained by everyone.
It will get removed after 7 days i believe. Forgot what timer i set on those listings.

Idea is really simple. You used to own your personal account and you need an account to post stuff. Right now everyone is sharing one account and its maintained by everyone.

So basically what the last update did was completely remove the function of posting listings with user names.

Maybe the bottom and top 30-50% of listings should be tossed out when suggesting prices, to possibly combat market manipulation? It obviously wouldn't solve the issue, but would give a better overall picture of true pricing and make it way more expensive to manipulate or easy to spot the people injecting false listings. Because honestly, the 800 gold min listing, really?
So I looked at the backend data and can confirm that the ones that tries to manipulate price are filtered out.

There are roughly 6 pages on sale with 3 pages (half) at the range of 60k - 80k. The algorithm gets rid of outliar and picks 30th percentile as base. This yields to the 66k - 83k range which covers the 5-60 percentile. Calculation seems correct to me.
I guess I am curious as to what is considered an outlier? I just exported the current 7 pages to a spreadsheet and other than the one for 1,000,000 I do not see any outliers. However, on your price check page it shows a listing at 800 gold, which doesn't exist today, nor did it yesterday, so not sure where this listing for 800 comes from even, but I expect it is an outlier and not taken into consideration?

But yes, the lower half of the listings is 60-100K right now, but the upper half is 105-250, which puts the average at 116,183, but your site says the avg is 73k? So not sure I am following the math here. Even if I only choose the middle 30%, the avg I get is still 100k?

I do see if I simply choose the bottom 30% and average them out, then I get 72K, which is close to your average... but that is by basically ignoring the other 2/3 of the more expensive listings.

I guess my confusion is in the wording "Average price", which one would assume is the average of all listings divided by the number of listings. Removing outliers, like the ones for 800 & 1mil definitely makes the number more realistic and less prone to manipulation or listing mistakes, which is great. But saying the average is 73k when in reality it is 116K, just messes with people that only use the in-game tooltip and think the average price is 73K and price accordingly... which all they did was give a flipper a smoking deal, especially the ones that priced at 60k just to move it fast, but probably were thinking they were selling for 20-30% less, not half price.

TTC uses 7 days of data to do calculation and there are bunch of heuristic functions to determine how legit a given data is. If it determines that the data is most likely fake (for example the 800 and 1m ones) then it will simply ignore them. And yes TTC always uses the lower 30% as base and ignores the rest 2/3. If people can find tons of listings at $100 why would anyone bother with the ones asking for $500. If all the $100 got sold out then people will start paying for the lowest ones maybe say $200. This will continue until an equilibrium is reached.
