Re: Re: Summerset quests SkillPoints providing
I've spent the last couple days trying to figure out why my characters had lost three skill points on respec... turns out, those skill points never existed. EDIT: From the forums, this was a bug on the PTS, that was fixed before the game went live. So, The Queen's Decree does not award 3 skill points on completion. Sorry.

Re: Summerset quests SkillPoints providing
The first quest in Summerset, The Queen's Decree, awards three skill points and is a prerequisite quest for Buried Memories. Completing these two quests awards the following achievements. You can paste these two links into the game for verification of completion. If you did not receive three and one skill points respectively, you might notify ZOS via the /bug reporter tool.

Summerset quests SkillPoints providing
Warning: possible spoiler
I just completed the "Buried Memories" quest after killing the Sea Sload, receiving my first skillpoint from the main storyline. USF addon states I have already earned 4 but I didn't receive anything but that single one. Is the addon not working properly or is the issue related to the skillpoints reward system alongside completing the storyline quests ? Has anyone had the same problem?

Thanks for the info. This isn't the first time I've heard about this addon causing problems. I tore it down once and didn't see anything that looked like it could cause an issue but I'll go through it again in more detail.

I think I've found the guilty: http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1...intRespec.html
It's weird because that addon works well

If I remove every addon but yours, it works without any problems, I didn't eve had to reset saved variables... I guess this is some addon blowing things but as you said. Finding which might be a problem... I have over 60 installed atm xD
Thanks for your help, if I find which one it is I'll post here again

Sure, I'm glad you like it. If you would, do another fresh install (remove saved variables also) and deactivate all other addons when you first start it up. In other words, run the game with no other addons activated when running this addon for the first time to see if it writes the saved variables correctly. The error you're getting happens when the saved variables are first being accessed by the addon and it's acting like they're not being written. This kind of thing is normally caused by latency or another addon blowing things up during the setup process. Let me know how it responds after doing this.
Edit: If it does the same thing again under these conditions, PM me a PasteBin link with a copy of your saved variables file.

Hello, first of all thanks for the awesome addon.
I'm getting this error each time I press the key to open the interface. Code:
user:/AddOns/USPF/USPF.lua:569: attempt to index a nil value stack traceback: user:/AddOns/USPF/USPF.lua:569: in function 'USPF_SetLevelPoints' user:/AddOns/USPF/USPF.lua:913: in function 'USPF_SetupData' user:/AddOns/USPF/USPF.lua:953: in function 'USPF:UpdateDataLines' user:/AddOns/USPF/USPF.lua:1100: in function 'USPF:ToggleWindow' :1: in function '(main chunk)' Thanks in advance! |

We're in the same boat. My main is an Imperial stam DK that I created during early access and who now largely functions as a crafter and took Eidetic Memory. He's also a werewolf but has been a vampier in the past. My guess is they're there but not visible for whatever reason. I've also heard of a bug in older characters where skill points were not awarded for clearing some group dungeons early on but nobody's been able to confirm it so far. All my addon does is look at all possible sources for skill points and show them individually. Achievements are used whenever possible but sometimes it's necessary to use the quest id. The total is the result of all of those completions so it's more likely that you did not receive skill points for some things or they're hidden away in an old skill line. If you'r familiar with writing addons, you might try writing a function to iterate through all of your skill points, shown or not, to see where the points are allocated. This is the same thing that Spent Skill Points does although it's incorrect in the racial area. Alternatively, I may put that is as a test function at some point.

I've never been a werewolf, and I'm going by how many skill points I have available to spend when I refund all of them at the shrine. Skill resets are on sale for 1g until tomorrow, so I've reset them all for the first time in 4 years.
I only listed FD/Morrowind/Summerset to rule those out, because those list as 0 on the addon and that is correct; this is a character from day1 who took eidetic memory. The only non-crafting skills with "points" in them are Diplomat (Imperial), Finders Keepers (Thieves Guild), Blade of Woe (Dark Brotherhood), Soul Trap (Soul Magic). My question was whether those are where my four missing skill points (352 points available vs your addon reported 356 points), or if I have an issue with my character missing skill points. If those are being counted, I'm wondering why the 1/x crafting passives aren't counted, since those are other non-refundable skills. |

Yes, all of those skills are excluded from the total when calculating for the Folium. My addon only looks at your total skill points for the Folium. All of the displayed points sources are individually evaluated so it's virtually impossible to get a false positive. My only recommendation is that you consider any points you had invested prior to curing vampirism or werewolfism. Also, you can't use Spent Skill Points as a baseline because it's never been corrected for the racial passive rework (which I've also done in USPF).

Is USPF counting: Finders Keepers (Thieves Guild), Blade of Woe (Dark Brotherhood), Soul Trap (Soul Magic), and Racial 1st Passive as skill points? These can't be refunded or used in any way as skill points.
Otherwise, I have 352 skill points after respec right now, and USPF says I should have 356/408. Adding up the four category totals also yields 356. That's with 0/2 FD, 0/1 Morrowind, 0/1 Summerset (all correct), so it's not related to missing those skill points. So, is this an issue of those three passives + soul trap being counted as skill points (but the non-refundable 1/x crafting passives don't count), or am I missing 4 skill points that I should have...? |

Re: Re: About Folium Discognitum book.
This is based on there being a difference between your skill points found by the addon through achievements, quests, etc. and the sum of the points in the skills tree. If the skills tree finds two more than the sum of all real sources the the Folium checks true. I'd suggest you go to Eyevea and see if Valaste is standing outside the door to the main hall. If she's not there, then there is an override in the settings. Unfortunately, this is a shortfall on ZOS' end so there's nothing else I can do to check for it. Trust me, this was a source of great headaches.
