No more updates: As I won't be renewing my subscription to the game (too many combat bugs, too many bugged skills, bad inventory system, poorly designed UI), I won't be able to continue supporting this addon. For additional features and continued updates, please have a look at Guild Store Search Extended by lintydruid.

Allows you to do a textual search for items in the guild stores you have access to. It displays the results sorted by unit price. You can search an individual guild or search across all guilds to find the cheapest.

It will get every item for sale in the guild store(s) you select. Then you can search for items that match the text you enter.

Press the Guild Store Search button while a Guild Store is open.

1. Select a specific guild or choose All. Then press Retrieve.

2. Once all the items have been retrieved from the selected guild stores,
type the text you want to find and press Find Match.

3. You can match the text to items from a specific guild or items from all guilds.

4. Use quotes for exact matching, no quotes for partial matching.

5. Type different text or select different guilds and press Find Match again
to search the stored results again.

6. You can press Retrieve again to update the items from the guild stores.

To buy an item, press the "Go To Page" button. It will change the main Guild Store interface to the page where the item you want to buy can be found. You still have to scroll down to that item and buy it.

Development Notes:
Barring any serious bugs that require fixing, this is the final version of this add-on. No additional features are coming. I've learned what I needed and I've put in all the features that I need into the add-on for my personal use.

If anyone wants to start a new add-on starting from this one to add their own features or changes, please go ahead and do so. Take all the code or parts of it as you require.

eztrip Forum posts: 0 File comments: 3 Uploads: 0	Guild 1 always skipped? I'm in 3 guilds and all have stores. When I try searching it always seems to go straight to guild 2, despite selecting All. I've tried resetting GSS, and I've tried changing guild in guild store UI, but I can't seem to get it to include guild 1 in the search. Other than that, it works great! SUPER AWESOME. I don't know why they don't have this built in

berood001 Forum posts: 0 File comments: 1 Uploads: 0	Tested & Approved Great job. I was just looking at the API to do something like this myself. You saved me some work. I did test with 3 guilds. The first guild was to small and was skipped after the TRADING_HOUSE_RESULT_GUILD_TOO_SMALL was sent. It searched the other two guilds and returned results just fine. Don't know about the error the other fellow said about skipping the first guild. Mine had to be skipped anyway. Will keep testing and post anything else I find.

Right now it takes me about 1 minute to go through each guild store while it searches for an item. If i'm searching for multiple items it can take a long time. I'm not sure the abilities that adds on have but is there a way to just do the search once and store all the information locally so that multiple searches can be almost instantaneous?

yea i've been kicked out of game a few times for clicking too many actions at once, so I can't imagine they would be happy about constantly searching on the guild store, but if there was a way to download the information once that would cut down on the amount of searches.

xevoran Forum posts: 1 File comments: 19 Uploads: 2	Update to search from cached results In the interest of reducing the number of times it requests data from the server, there are now 2 steps: 1. Retrieve - gets the items for sale from the guild you selected or from all guilds 2. Find Match - search for the text you typed from the items that were retrieved. At this point, you can set which guild to find matches from or to find matches from all guilds. Pressing Retrieve again will update the list of items for sale. The text at the top right corner will tell you if the current cached data is from a specific guild or from all guilds and how many items there are in total. It will no longer tell you how many times your text was matched.

Here you go XrysGatherer seams to have "Scrollable and Filterable History Window listing what is in the harvest history table" and "Built in Scrollable Node Alerter to let you know of known nodes in the area with color coding."

drewdenman Forum posts: 0 File comments: 19 Uploads: 0	Couple suggestions I had: 1) add an option on the bottom (like where it says [F] <Guild Name> to have something like [G] Guild Store Search that brings up the addon instead of having to type /gss. 2) Have it say something like "No Matches Found" if nothing is found. I didn't know if the addon was lagging or nothing was found originally. 3) Are Boolean searches possible? something like Racial Motif*, that way I can search all the motifs, instead of having to go one by one.

No new features will be added because it now has all the features I personally use and planned to put into it. However, anyone wanting to use the code in whole or in part to start a new addon to improve/update what I've made is more than welcome to grab what they need and go for it. Changes for this version: - Scrollbar! - More than 10 results! - A button to show/hide the addon! (the slash command still works if you prefer it) - An indicator to tell you how many matches were found (even if it's zero)! Hints you might not have known about but were there all this time: - You don't need to use * in the searches, just type the partial text you're looking for. - You can type /gss foo bar and the addon will appear with the text field preset to foo bar. You can type /gss off to hide the addon. "off" is the only special keyword; any other text after /gss will be put into the text field. - GSS holds on to the results of the last Retrieve until you press Reset or Retrieve, do /reloadui, or relog. You can keep searching over those results again and again but keep in mind that they will get stale eventually and something listed as the cheapest may be gone if you wait too long before buying it. - Filters can be used with Guild Store Search but it works in a weird way so I never documented it. Basically you can set the filters you want (e.g. Weapon-One Handed-Sword, Level 15-17, Quality Blue) then press R. This does a normal search and sets the filter you specified as "active". Then the next time you do a search using Guild Store Search it will use the same filter as the last search. In the example here, if you pressed the Retrieve button, GSS would only return blue-quality swords for level 15-17. There may be some unexpected results depending on the order you set the active filter and press Retrieve in GSS. To reset the main Guild Store interface, just close it and talk to the banker again. - The hint using filters works with BatmanStoreFilter!!! Last edited by xevoran : 04/15/14 at 06:27 AM.

I ask, because I'd like to dump the info into an excel spreadsheet so I can use multiple days to get an average price on items. To be honest, this is the base of an add-on that could scan Guild Stores, store the info, and then spit out an average price for the user. I'm not a code nut so I cannot do that magic.
