Dressing Room for Stonethorn  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 0.10.3b
by: WhoCares [More]
Important notice for users of "Dressing Room Reborn"
Please, do NOT use "Dressing Room Reborn" (aka version 0.9.2). It is an old version that is not maintained anymore, lacks a lot of features, and doesn't work properly with the current game version. If you have any issues, please leave your feedback on this addon because the other one was abandoned by the previous maintainer.
If you are currently using "Dressing Room Reborn:
For Minion users: first uninstall Dressing Room Reborn, then install this version - you do not need to do anything special with your data files (except probably making a backup, which is always a good idea)
Manual update: simply update Dressing Room Reborn with this version, it is essentially a new version of the same addon

Equip your gear and select your skills with one click or key press. Focused on functionality and responsiveness.

Now with oft-requested features, such as:
  • ignoring the tabard slot when equipping gear sets,
  • automatically loading your desired preset as soon as you leave combat,
  • recharging your weapons (even in the middle of combat), etc.

Please report any bugs you find in the comments here, and if possible, please attach the full error message with the stack trace, and your SavedVariables/DressingRoom.lua file where applicable. I hope you find this addon useful.

Version 0.9.5 (2018/09/15)
* Added support for alchemical poisons
- When loading a preset with poisons, the add-on will try to equip all
poisons of the same level and type from your inventory, combining any
existing separate stacks in the process.
- With the "Unequip empty poison slots" option (default: enabled), the
add-on will unequip poisons only from those bars that contain a weapon
but no poison. This is intended so you can still make presets that only
change armour pieces, or weapons on one bar, without touching the other
bar in any way. If you want to explicitely unequip poisons in a certain
preset, simply assign a weapon (or shield) to that bar.
- Presets created prior to version 0.9.5 will not touch your poison slots.

Thanks for continuing this awesome addon!

I tried outfitting 500 of the same poison onto each of my weapons. But it's only identified as one stack for one weapon. Can this be added? I assume it'd work if I had two different poison stacks, instead of one split into half.

Hey.

Dressing Room is primarily oriented towards making it easier and faster to change your functional setup. Of course, technically I could have it handle costumes, but then we're on a slippery slope as to what exactly to handle and how—whether to do all of the other collectibles (like hat, makeup, etc.) as well, how to load partial presets, and so on. And if I added something like a toggleable option for each category of collectible, that would quickly detract from the addon's original purpose.

However, I do see that such functionality could seemingly be nice to integrate. I've got an old thing that I wrote nearly two years ago (but never released it) to work around a certain bug in the base game regarding equippable collectibles. I'll think about upgrading that into something like "Dressing Room for outfits" some time and releasing it separately, with the addition of interaction with the original Dressing Room, but I can't give a time frame.

For now, my most honest and practical advice would be to use some other addon, which specialises in costumes and outfits and is also able to use key bindings, and create two key bindings for each "preset", e.g. if your Dressing Room preset #1 is bound to Num1, you can bind your costume #1 to something like Shift-Num1.

I hope this helps at least a bit.

Hello! I am glad that you like it!

This version is an upgrade of the same addon.
If you are updating it manually, just replace the old one in your AddOns folder with this one.
If you are using an addon manager like Minion, then I think that you will need to remove the old one first, and then install this, because they have the same in-game name and the same name of the addon folder.
In either case, you don't need to delete any saved variables, and you don't need to rename the saved variables file.

Thank you. I did it as you suggested: I used Minion and simply removed DR Reborn and then installed this one (DR Elsweyr) kept my Saved Variables. It works great now!

Cheers

Not at all, thank you! I haven't had much time lately to do this properly, so I'm not surprised at having missed some gaping blunders like this... Related or not, using too old libraries is a sure way for something to go wrong. I'll fix this as soon as I can.

I have some comments, I hope you don't mind.
Maybe that error is connected with LibAddonMenu (LAM)?
You include LAM in your download and the latest version is 29 and your included version is 25. That might be causing some conflicts, especially as LAM has changed a bit recently.

Addon developers have been moving away from including libraries and getting people to download and patch them separately. LAM does not need LibStub now, you can use the global LibAddonMenu2

My recommendation for this is to remove both LibStub and LibAddonMenu from your download and it's references in DressingRoom.txt file.

Then change
## OptionalDependsOn: LibAddonMenu-2.0
to
## DependsOn: LibAddonMenu-2.0

Then in DressingRoomUI.lua, DressingRoom:CreateAddonMenu() make these changes:
Change line 502 from:
local LAM = LibStub:GetLibrary("LibAddonMenu-2.0")
to:
if not LibAddonMenu2 then return end

Change line 513 from:
LAM:RegisterAddonPanel("DressingRoomOptions", panelData)
to:
LibAddonMenu2:RegisterAddonPanel("DressingRoomOptions", panelData)
or even:
self.panel = LibAddonMenu2:RegisterAddonPanel("DressingRoomOptions", panelData)

Change line 733 from:
LAM:RegisterOptionControls("DressingRoomOptions", optionsData)
to:
LibAddonMenu2:RegisterOptionControls("DressingRoomOptions", optionsData)

Hello, what language are you using as the game language? This looks like it cannot load the localisation file, and that it doesn't default to English either, as it should, for some reason.

Hello! This has always been the case.

Originally, there was no way to change skills on the non-active bar, and this is how every skill bar addon had to be implemented. At the moment, I'm not sure if it is still the case, because some time ago, zos has made it possible to change skills on both bars even when you can't bar swap (e.g. while dead). I admit, however, I haven't gotten around to checking the esoui code for it yet, and as such, Dressing Room has always swapped your skills only on the current bar, and required a manual bar swap to load the other one. Expect this in a future update, when I've got a bit more time to examine the new API.

Thank you! I didn't know that. I did feel like I was hacking around with the cursor mode, but I was too lazy to find a better way. I will do this in the next update.

Hello! Are you doing anything specific that you think might cause this? I have only heard about this from one other person, and it happens so rarely to them that I haven't been able to find the cause of the issue.

If you don't mind, I would like to know the following:
  • On which class(es) does this happen to you?
  • Does it happen more often (or even exclusively) on one character?
  • Does it only happen after reloading UI / relogging, or does it also happen in the middle of playing?
  • Does it keep happening if you delete your DressingRoom saved variables?
Also, next time this happens, if you could reload UI or just log out, and then take your SavedVariables/DressingRoom.lua file, upload it somewhere (pastebin should be fine), and send me a link, I might be able to work it out faster. As of yet, I don't know what causes it, or what is actually even happening behind the scenes. It's a bug in some older part of the code written by one of the other developers.

Hi

Based on my experience you will find it easier to register your top level UI control.
Then you don't have to fight cursor mode or camera modes. It handles things itself.
It also works well with the escape key then.

Inside - DressingRoom:CreateWindow()
Add - SCENE_MANAGER:RegisterTopLevel(DressingRoomWin, false)

Replace all the code in - DressingRoom:ToggleWindow()
With - SCENE_MANAGER:ToggleTopLevel(DressingRoomWin)

Where you were previously calling DressingRoomWin:SetHidden(true)
Use - SCENE_MANAGER:HideTopLevel(DressingRoomWin)

Where you were previously calling DressingRoomWin:SetHidden(false)
Use - SCENE_MANAGER:ShowTopLevel(DressingRoomWin)

I hope you find that useful

I have a characters that pretty much run identical setups (gear/wpn/guild skills), class kills that aren't identical I understand will mention there's no skill but it would still be better than doing gear/skills manually for 15 characters lol or having to close the game out and copy/paste in the saved variables.
I'll see what I can do about this, as well as the previous requests.
