JunkBuster  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.91
by: ADH, Atoom
Now compatible with 8.2.0 Firesong!

This addon provides a rule-based system to put items in your junk bag or destroy them

Unlike the other automatic junking addons, JunkBuster allows you to filter items by any combination of the following criteria:
  • Name
  • Item Type
  • (Specialized) Item Type
  • Equipment slot
  • Weapon/Armor type
  • Level
  • Price
  • Quality
  • Trait
  • Actor type (Player or Companion)
  • Item is crafted or not
  • Item is stolen or not
  • Item has a set bonus or not
  • Recipee is known or not

For example, you can set it to only junk the ingredients you loot that have 0g price value, or the normal quality (white) stolen treasures (but not the green ones).

Other Features:
  • The addon can automatically sell junked items to a merchant (not stolen items) or a fence (stolen items) when visiting them
  • You can add exemption rules that save and unjunk any special item that you want skipped by junkBuster
  • You can add rules to DESTROY items upon looting
Warning: Be very careful with the destroy option. Destroyed items CAN NOT be returned.

The screenshots show some sample rules that I use when playing.
There is an extended logging option available which provides the info for every looted item in the chatbox so you can fine-tune or make new junking rules.

Planned future additions:
  • Allow <=, >=, == selections for item quality
  • Add support for FCO Item Saver
  • Allow addon to apply rules to (guild) bank too?

I destroy Treasure Maps by identifying with just a text filter. You can try to Keep and Unjunk with text filter "treasure map" or "Treasure Map" or "TREASURE MAP" (without the quotes). One of those at least should work I think.

ah I see, well in that case maybe those 4 common glyphs wasn't deleted after all, it just printed it (I was withdrawing 100 common glyphs from mail I had bought at guild trader so didn't actually check if they were indeed destroyed). Thanks for reacting so fast on this an reporting back with a fix!

That has annoyed me too for some time so will def get around to add this in the future. Just haven't yet as that option would require even more controls in the already way to long settings menu. So will overhaul the screen to make it even more compact(able) by default and will add that option with that.

Have reduced the maximum amount of items sold at once by the auto junk sale to 89. Pls tell me if there are still problems when selling many items.

DIsable auto selling and instead you can just press X then E to sell all junk when visiting vendor, this sells all junk and wont boot you no matter how many items is sold. Yes, it is not automatic, but it's only an X and an E press, very quickly done.

EDIT: items were actually NOT destroyed, it just printed the destroy message. Author has now fixed this

Watch out for the destroy option. Disabling "Perform destroy" does NOT stop destroying! To disable destroying we need to disable the addon....!

Rare Fish

Hello, this is the best junk handler add-on I've tried the others. The one and only thing that is bothering me at the moment is that the Rare Fish I catch I cannot get this add-on to classify them as junk no matter if I use the trophy category or the fish category. Any luck this can be fixed? they are only good for selling to the merchant. There are a lot of rare fish in this game

Will take some time to implement, so will include a solution in the next large update. Will be prob when summerset launches and I'll start playing Eso again (yes I will xD).

Unfortunately Im pretty sure this is not possible with the current setup. I have had the same issue several times and it gets pretty tedious to have to explicitly spell out tons of specific keep rules just because you wanted to filter out a few items that must always be sold. Keep rules take priority over Destroy and Junk rules, and Destroy take priority over Junk. This seems hardcoded into the addon. To change this you would have to change/add code. It certainly would be nice with an "override priority #" field next to each rule so that you could override a specific rules priority (and manually set it to either 0,1,2 or 3).

For example (just an example, you probably wouldn't want to keep any treasures ) :

- Keep all Treasures [default priority 1]
- Destroy all Common quality Treasure [priority override 0] [default priority 2]
- Junk all epic Treasure [priority override 0] [default priority 3]

Would keep all treasures, but all Epic Treasures would still be junked because of the manually overridden priority set to 0. Likewise would all Common quality treasures be destroyed because manually overridden priority set to 0.

Or here's a different approach: imagine if you could move each rule up and down in the hierarchy, that'd be very awesome I think!

.

Is there any way to have the rules filter junk from the keep list without having a keep rule for each type of item you aren't trying to junk? I'm trying to have certain items junked or destroyed based on criteria that comes after the general blanket statement that would also apply to the item I want junked. Maybe an ability to arrange the rules so that I can put destroy and junk above keep rules?

For example:

Keep any Epic quality item except Treasure

or maybe

Keep any Epic quality item except [Rule #]
