JunkBuster  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.91
by: ADH, Atoom
Now compatible with 8.2.0 Firesong!

This addon provides a rule-based system to put items in your junk bag or destroy them

Unlike the other automatic junking addons, JunkBuster allows you to filter items by any combination of the following criteria:
  • Name
  • Item Type
  • (Specialized) Item Type
  • Equipment slot
  • Weapon/Armor type
  • Level
  • Price
  • Quality
  • Trait
  • Actor type (Player or Companion)
  • Item is crafted or not
  • Item is stolen or not
  • Item has a set bonus or not
  • Recipee is known or not

For example, you can set it to only junk the ingredients you loot that have 0g price value, or the normal quality (white) stolen treasures (but not the green ones).

Other Features:
  • The addon can automatically sell junked items to a merchant (not stolen items) or a fence (stolen items) when visiting them
  • You can add exemption rules that save and unjunk any special item that you want skipped by junkBuster
  • You can add rules to DESTROY items upon looting
Warning: Be very careful with the destroy option. Destroyed items CAN NOT be returned.

The screenshots show some sample rules that I use when playing.
There is an extended logging option available which provides the info for every looted item in the chatbox so you can fine-tune or make new junking rules.

Planned future additions:
  • Allow <=, >=, == selections for item quality
  • Add support for FCO Item Saver
  • Allow addon to apply rules to (guild) bank too?

Let me guess: You talked to a fence, while having a non stolen item in the junk bag, a stolen item in your inventory, but no stolen item marked as junk? The only combination i could thing of which could cause this message to appear without any others (like "no fence sales left"). Will be fixed in the next version.

Please :P
It is already possible to filter weapons by their equipment slot(one handed, two handex, off hand (shield)). Just setItem Type = Weapon and select the desired slot. Armor type- (light, med, heavy, none) and Weapon type (sword, bow, two hand sword, fire staff, ...) are still missing sadly. They will be added with the next version too (probably till next weekend) once i figure out how to prevent the rule screen from getting even lonnger

Update 1.52 released

* Reworked item level filter to include CP levels
Notice: Old item level rules are not automatically converted as they used a different item property which doesn't actually match the displayed item level correctly and includes cp levels in a very weird way. You can spot these rules by them having "item level" in their description instead of just "level" or "CP level" for the new ones.
* Realigned the controls in the create rule section to save some vertical space
* Updated LAM to 2.0r25

For some reason it has also started automatically min the chat box
Heya,
can you describe your problems a bit more detailed, please? Maybe with screenshots?
At the moment I can't reproduce deleted rules reapering if thats what you mean. Also it's very unlikely that this addon is responsible for the chat window minimising as it doesn't do anything to it. The chat window often minimises on its own when opening any game menu.

As you could classify that as a bug (The filter was implemented before cp levels were a thing) I'll see if I can find a solution next weekend.

Sorry, the level rule doesn't yet support cp levels.
That's unfortunate. Could you see about adding it in near future please?

The only things I have changed, is I unchecked the allow to destroy option at the top and I added a couple rules to make it junk any weapon with the Weapon Ornate trait. No dice... any ideas?

Also, I have alot of alts. Is there anyway to copy my rules from one character to another. I am even ok with changing config files or something if I have to, I just really don't wanna have to do this for all 10 of my characters.
The addon only handles items that are newly added to the inventory as there is a special event in the games api for that. So the rules are executed for every item that you loot / craft / buy. Moving them between bank and inventory doesn't work though. It's that way so that for example a new rule can not accidentally delete important items you already have if it's phrased wrong. It would be possible to add a extra button to run the rules on the existing items in the inventory but that would be quite some extra work and sadly im not activly playing Eso atm, so prob won't add big features right now (But deffintitly will fix any bugs that come up).

Making copying rules from one char to another easier is on my to do list, but there is also a way to copy them manually if you edit the mods saved variable file:
  1. All chars you want to copy rules to have to have been logged in at least once with the addon active
  2. Be logged out of the game (either on the char selection or close the game completely)
  3. Open the following file with a texteditor "C:\Users\<your windows account name>\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables\JunkBuster.lua"
  4. Here you find all the saved variables of all of your chars within sections enclosed in {} brackets with the characters name in front of them enclosed in [""] brackets
  5. To make a char get the exact settings of another char localize the section with the source chars name, copy everything between its {} brackets, and paste it over everything in the section with the target chars name. Make sure that everything -especially the brackets and commas - are still correct afterwards
  6. Save the file
  7. Log into the target char ingame and check if everything looks as expected
Be careful with this as errors in this file can make the game not recognize the this addons settings for any char anymore and set all back to default, or it could cause unexpected behavior of the addon.
I use Joviex's Addon Settings Transfer - it works great with JunkBuster
