This addon provides a rule-based system to put items in your junk bag or destroy them

Unlike the other automatic junking addons, JunkBuster allows you to filter items by any combination of the following criteria:
  • Name
  • Item Type
  • (Specialized) Item Type
  • Equipment slot
  • Weapon/Armor type
  • Level
  • Price
  • Quality
  • Trait
  • Actor type (Player or Companion)
  • Item is crafted or not
  • Item is stolen or not
  • Item has a set bonus or not
  • Recipee is known or not

For example, you can set it to only junk the ingredients you loot that have 0g price value, or the normal quality (white) stolen treasures (but not the green ones).

Other Features:
  • The addon can automatically sell junked items to a merchant (not stolen items) or a fence (stolen items) when visiting them
  • You can add exemption rules that save and unjunk any special item that you want skipped by junkBuster
  • You can add rules to DESTROY items upon looting
    Warning: Be very careful with the destroy option. Destroyed items CAN NOT be returned.

The screenshots show some sample rules that I use when playing.
There is an extended logging option available which provides the info for every looted item in the chatbox so you can fine-tune or make new junking rules.

Planned future additions:
  • Allow <=, >=, == selections for item quality
  • Add support for FCO Item Saver
  • Allow addon to apply rules to (guild) bank too?

I love this addon, thank you.

It would be great if I could propagate my Junkbuster rules to new characters without having to type them all in again. Any chance you could implement such a thing please?

Problem with the addon.

Today I started to have an error while entering the game from the junkbuster addon.
I've tried to reinstall (deleting also the savedvariables file too) and I still get the error.
Going in the setting menu of the addon I don't get any option to set the rules and I don't see any rules.

This is the error I get:

Research Assistant just added "an easy-to-use function for other addons to use to check if an item is researchable."

I really wish you could use this to add a filter for Armor/Weapons that are researchable/not researchable.

Not quite what I meant, just to be able to disable specific ones, unless I'm missing something. Some type of profile system where you could save/load different rule sets, I suppose.

Ah it's not a big deal though, perhaps I'm asking too much. Works great though!

Great addon, I really like the Sample Run on Items display.

It would be really nice if there was an option to disable a rule temporarily, like a toggle. A situation where this would be useful is if I wanted to go farm a dungeon for a specific type of item, and have it mark everything else or just that item as junk - then go to a different place and turn it on or off, instead of having to delete or create a new rule entirely each time.

edit: another example:
Say I want to mark every piece of white (normal) armor or weapon I get as junk, for an easier way to dump them into a bank or send them somewhere, but don't want it enabled while I'm crafting. A toggle option would be nice for a situation like this. Basically, any rule I want to set that is pretty generic. If possible, of course.

Please keep developing this add-on it is looking like it has a damn good future! If you add the bank part, my hourly trip back to town to clear my inventory will go from an hour long task to 5 minutes and I will be eternally greatful!!

Also, if you could make it possible to add something to the rule making where you can specify something according to it's level range and not just stuff by max level, that would be very helpful.

Right now I'm working on adding autobanking rules to the plugin
Might even change the name to some kind of inventory manager or something

I'll change the item name matching to not be case insensitive while I'm at it

At first I had big trouble to make is work too, until I realized that most item names were lowercase internally
Now it's configured it's great!

The craft seems to only be relevant for craft ingredients. So There is no way (yet anyway) to differentiate between different weapon types.

no, that doesnt work for sure. this is why I am trying to find a good regex for it...

Edit: damn, I just figured that the name doesnt contain any uppercase. All uppercase are added by the inventory UI. so it works if everything is lowercase
