Srendarr - Aura, Buff & Debuff Tracker (Outdated)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.43
by: Kith [More]
Srendarr adds the ability to track your buffs and debuffs you cast on others, both the long-duration abilities that appear under the Character window as well as the short-term buffs that normally only show via graphical effects on your character. The aura tracking is designed to visually mesh with the standard UI theme but includes many options to change the appearance.

Please note that this initial release, while it has been bugtested, uses a database of durations to "fake" timers for short-term buffs and this database uses durations obtained out of game from wikis and thus may not be entirely accurate for every ability. In a situation where you discover a timer not matching the duration, please let me know so I can update the numbers

/srendarr unlock -- unlock the aura display for movement
/srendarr lock -- relock the display

Additional options will be found in the Settings menu under S'rendarr.

When i cast "Crystal Fragments" the target take debuff for 2 Sec (knock down) when i use CF.

The problem is: we need 1.3sec of "Casting" before the debuff start the countdown ( 2.4sec of knock down )

I see also "Force Siphon" of the Restoration Staff, and is just perfect. During the Cast of 1.5sec we see debuff and the word"Casting" then start the count down.
Can you do same thing with Crystal Fragment?
I know, for the istant proc is already ok. I don't know if you can make difference "when is istant or when is casting" but for sure you can take track of the cost of magicka. For the istant cast is 50% less of normal.

Ground Targeted Abilities

Hey, I prefer your addon way over FTC, as to me it looks much better and blends quite well into the ZO-UI.

Here are some "bugs" i've noticed.

1) It should be 'Blessing Of Restauration' and 'Blessing Of Protection' in ll 72-73 in AuraData.lua (you had "of", which is why this ability would not show up as short time buff)

2) I don't really know if there's a way to detect the level of a skill, but some buffs change their duration depending on their level. One such example is 'Thundering Presence' from the Storm Calling Sorc skill tree. starting with 8 seconds at lvl 1 the skill goes up to 9 seconds. The same thing with Dark Magic skilline, where you can skill a passive so your Dark Magic buffs stay longer

And finally:

I'm not quite sure if this fits into your addon design, but can you make the ground targeted buffs (like 'Illustrious Healing') to be displayed when they're actually casted on the ground with the use of the left mouse button? I don't know if there is an Event for a mouse being clicked but FTC manges to do this somehow.

I'll look into adding that as a toggle option; though it will mean (due to how tooltips work) that you will no longer be able to 'click through' the icons if they get in the way of anything.

I'll fix the typo information, thanks. For abilities with changing durations, there is no way i've really found so far to find the rank of an ability to be able to get an appropriate timer like that so I went with the 'max' it'll be at rank8 + any length increasing passives.

For ground target tracking, thats on my TODO list along with potions but will be a while for that sorry as both are quite a chunk of work.

FINALLY a standalone buff/debuff tracker.

-Needs a delay for cast animation/lag.
-Vampire Fed on Ally buff is showing no matter what.

Localisation

Can you please give some guidance on how to localise this to German ? I´ve tried to replace the skillnames in the aura_data.lua with the German names, but it doesn´t seem to work.

The vampire feed thing is a bug i'm aware of and intend to fix. The delay for cast animation I can add to spells I don't yet have it on if you can give me a list, but there is no way to accomodate for lag sorry, that information just isn't available to modders (yet).

Hrm, i'm not really sure why if swapping out the names in AuraData doesn't work. You could try this to give me an idea if you don't mind...

Put an ability in your first hotkey slot that has a duration that would be tracked by S'rendarr and then type this into your chat window
Code:
/script CHAT_SYSTEM:AddMessage(GetSlotName(3))
That'll return the name the game is using for that ability and thats how my mod picks up what is in which slot to do the 'short term' tracking.

1 - 1.3 second delay would be good enough for all spells until it gets fine tuned.

An issue with adding a delay like that to all spells is it would work for people with high lag, but would make them inaccurate in the other direction for those without. Theres no ideal solution i'm afraid unless Zeni gives more leeway to modders and, to be fair, the API changes did make a (de)buff tracker kind of a kludge to even exist in the first place.

Just uploaded 1.21 which should fix this. I don't actually have a passive active on myself right now, so the error (caused by passives) didn't show up in my testing. Should be fixed now and will have another good look at it tomorrow (gone midnight here).
