MrPlow - Inventory Sorter  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 2.6b
by: Wobin, CrazyDutchGuy, Jennifur_Vultee
"That name again, is Mr Plow"

Mr Plow is a sorting addon that will reorder the items in your inventories to a more organised state.

The order of results is borrowed heavily from ingeniousclown's Advanced Filters.

I've co-opted the 'age' sort functionality of the leftmost arrows in the default inventory, and added them to the bank and guild bank.

And, just like the WoW version, the order is hard coded atm, but fairly straightforward to adjust in the code. Making a settings panel that will allow adjustment is my next step.

No No No, sort by LEVEL so we can see the cool high level stuff we want to inspect and ignore all the junk deconstruct eq below!
Kind of like in this order?

Level > Type or Level > Quality > Type?

Personally I'd prefer Type > Level > Quality > Alphabetical.

Would be awesome if we could combine sorting rules like that, but I'm sure it's on the list. Preferably with something that other addons like backpack or gridview can hook into.
Unfortunately, so far, the only 'level' we can get from the API is a pretty subjective one. I suspect it takes into account quality, as I've seen it sort blues of a technically lower level, higher than whites of a higher one.

And as long as the addon itself doesn't adjust how ESO sort the information, it will work for them. I'm basically taking how ESO sorts items (like with name) and giving it more information to work with.
What you are saying is that using different sorting rules is only doable with workarounds because the API is severly lacking in that departement?

Good to know that other addons generally don't need anything extra to make use of your sorting rules though.

There is something wrong with your packaging:
MrPlow.txt
Libs/LibStub/LibStub-1.0.lua

LibStub-1.0.lua does not exist in the zip.

Most needed add on in eso.

Other add ons offer great things but for me this is the one feature I needed most. I loaded it up and now everything is in order. Thank you some much.

Probably, it's low enough level at least to have a good chance of it. Item quality will probably tie into the level comparison ordering
