deathangel1479, It's unfortunately nature of this work. You will always hear complains. Requests of community will rise each day as your addon gets more popular.

You need to ignore idiotic comments and just work on your addon as you like. When there is a feature etc. request, it's better if you note them and add them in future versions.

What you made is a really nice addon. It'd be shame if you stop updating this.

I wouldn't care too much about what one random guy says.

1) They don't have the skills to write their own addon, so for them to criticize like that is just arrogant and rude. 2) They don't really know what they are talking about. The background texture is NEEDED for a round minimap to hide the corners of the square map tile underneath.

If they had half a brain they would have kept their foot in their mouth long enough to at least understand how the addon worked. What you did was the best option. You made a generic starter texture as a placeholder that anyone could modify through the interface you coded, so you could get back to working on the code and not spend time trying to create texture templates.

Let the community create template textures, as some people have already started to do. If people just want to be rude and come on here with nothing to offer but complaints, let them go back to broken ZrMM and crash every time they group.

Who cares what they think anyway.

It is fine if you don't use them... You are right they could be too bulky for border textures.

I certainly didn't mean to give you the impression I was complaining. I think people just like to suggest possible features. They aren't complaining or saying your work is bad, just making suggestions.

In the end it is only up to you what to do with your work, and if anyone DOES complain, screw them.

I wouldn't let this awesome project die. If you look in the comments you will see people like me that greatly enjoy and respect your work.
I might be on my own in thinking this, but why would you make only one horrible texture, that chances are nobody is going to like. If it was me, I would have made the addon without any background and then add the texture in as an additional option.

But hey, I guess it's your addon, but it's a shame you don't have the option in your addon else I would have actually swapped to this from ZRMM.

They are in game so I can use them from there...
You mean for border and group? For border they are unpractical because to big and you dont can differentiate from quest inside map. For group also to big and then you cant itentify the group members/leader/dead...

If you read a bit, the author HAS added an option to remove the default background. You can download the companion addon here which lets you set up profiles to load alternate background and compass textures. The custom images you load in the companion addon will show up as options within the main addon for alternate background and compass textures.

Personally I just use a blank .dds with an all black alpha layer to make it totally transparent, so all you see is the map. However, you pretty much have to disable the rotation function for this as it looks really bad having a square map rotate! XD

Du musst konstant bei einem namen bleiben, nicht abkürzen, bzw wenn alle abkürzen.
Und bei den textur eintragungen hattest du am ende " vergessen.

Not working in dungeons?

Hi I am having a problem where it doesn't change to the dungeon map and is still showing the world map. Is there some option I haven't clicked?
