Enabling addons ingame again
If one of this depending library is missing you cannot enable the addon ingame!
So please check the dependencies of the addon ingame.
The best possible way is to install "Votans Addon List" addon which will seperate the addons from the libraries.
It will show you the dependencies at each addon line, right column, as tooltip for the "red" icon (if an addon is disabled and cannot be enabled). Scroll down to the libraries at the bottom and enable the ones needed for the addon then.

If you post comments about the addon not working anymore and haven't read and understood what is written here, it is not the addon's nor the developers fault!
Just ask if you do not understand it, but tell me you have read this text! If not I won't answer or just write "Description" as a hint.

Why do I do this
This change is needed to reduce maintaining time of all the 30+ addons I need to keep updated.
Each patch or change of a library will need me to update ALL addons even if only the libraries need an update Excahnging the librarie folders within the adodn, backing things up, testing them, building the ZIP files and write changelog here needs me to invest about 5-10 minutes for EACH addon
By removingg the libraries and let you install them as standalone "addon" I'm not forced to update the addons if the libraries change. This will save me hours of work!

Please support me with this, install the libraries as standalone once via e.g. Minion and your addons will be set to work normally again + you gain the benefit to be able to update the libraries via Minion automatically as they are updated, and all addons will recognize it automatically without having you to need to wait for an update of each/or at least one addon containing the new library files.
+ the folder size of your AddOns folder decreases a lot if the libraries only need to be "ONCE" in the folder, and not also in each subfolder of the addons.!
+ I might use the gained time to work on fixing addons or adding new features as well.


Explanations:

Standalone library
"Not included" in other addons zip files.
You need to download the zip file of the "library" and install it alone, as if it would be a whole addon.
You got the library then in your AddOns folder like AddOns\LibStub (like an addon is shown the same way, e.g. AddOns\FCOItemSaver).


You need to close the game! If you install the standalone libraries with the game started they are not recognized properly. So close the game client or restart it before/after the standlaone libraries are installed.

Benefits:
For me:
More time to play the game again and maybe maintain the addons better as I do not need to update each time if the library changes and can focus on the needed stuff.
-> So you might benefit fom it as well

For you:
You will be automatically able to update the libraries as standalone versions via Minion e.g. and are also up2date all the time.
Depending addons will recognize it automatically and need no addon update if simply the library needed an update.

Library
Libraries are code line which can be re-used in other code lines (addons e.g.). The LibAddonMenu-2.0 is for example a library which provides the standard UI and controls for the ingame settings so adodns are able to provide these settings (checkboxes, dropdown, texts, buttons) for you.

Included libraries were only included into the addons to make life easier for you, the users, in the beginning of ESO. And there was a kind of bug which did not allow standalone libraries to be used properly, which got fixed meanwhile.

Loading of libraries
The game assures via the library LibStub that libraries (included in other addons or standalone versions) will only load the newest version.
So if a standalone library is loaded with the highest/newest version, the included libraries in other addons won't be loaded again. One could even strip them from the other addons as well to fullfill the purpose of a "library": Reusable code for several other code (addons).

The game will load addons + libraries in the following order:
Unsorted loading of ALL folders which are inside the folder AddOns.
It checks the folders if there are txt files in.
It reads the txt files and check sif in there is specified if this folder is DependendOn or OptionallyDependendOn any other folder (addon, library).
If dependencies are found it will load the dependencies first, and then the addon/library which depends on them.

So as basically every library is depended on LibStub the game will load the folder LibStub (standalone library) first, or LibStub from any of the subfolders of an addon (included librray) if not found as standalone.

The most important thing is the txt file (called: manifest) which gives the information about version, api version it was build for (will be compared ingame with the game's api version and if the version in the TXt is lower than ingame the addon/library will be "disabled" in the ingame addon manager until you enable the checkbox "Allow out of date addons"!), dependencies of the addon/library.

Conclusion
If you understand this, what libraries are, how they work, read the description of addons properly: You will have no trouble in the future.

If you do not want to read, just press buttons to update/auto update everything without thinking, you do not want to understand/learn how eso addons work, but only use them: You might get in trouble in the future. But I bet there are other addons out there which fullfill your needs then (if they will not be changed to use standalone libraries as well, which might happen earlier then you think ).

This addon is not supporting the Gamepad/Controller user interface! You can use another adodn like "Disable Advanced Controller UI" to get the menus and inventory work with FCOIS, and use the controller ingame to fight etc. But the total gamepad UI for inventories won't work!

This addon is neither a copy or clone of ItemSaver. It's much more and works differently.

What's the idea of this addon?
Do you want to get a better overview inside your inventory?
Did you also destroy an item you wanted to keep for higher levels, any research or just sell at the guild store?
Do you want to mark those items somehow so they are easily recognizable in your inventories?
Do you want to get an error message if you try to destroy/deconstruct/sell/trade/equip/read/use/mail/etc. any of your "special" items?
Do you want to confirm the equipping of bindable items before it gets bound to your account?
Do you use several different armor sets and want to mark each armor, weapon & jewelry item with an icon, so you can easily see and switch those sets?
Do you want to mark complete equipped items as a special set (heal, dd, tank, off-tank, quest, etc.)?
Do you want to automatically mark ornate items to select them with 1 click at a vendor?
Do you want to automatically mark intricate items to select them with 1 click at a deconstruction panel?
Do you want to automatically mark your researchable items that you need for your crafting skills (needs the addon "Research Assistant" activated)?

  • Distinguish between unique item IDs (different enchantment, level, style, ...) and non-unique item IDs (same name = same item)
  • Mark items with several icons (About 60 different icons to choose from) -> You can use keybindings to mark/unmark the icons too

FCO ItemSaver was developed on base of ingeniousClowns Item Saver!
Meanwhile I've changed ALL the coding and added more icons, filters, features, removed some bugs and non wished behaviours, etc.

This addon eases the handling of your items inside your inventory, bank, player2player trading, mails, guild bank, vendors, guild stores, craft bag etc.
It will provide you 22 different icons (changeable - select from a long list of available icons) for your
inventory items which you can easily activate/remove by the right click mouse menu.
It will provide you with 5 selectable gear set (you choose the description and the icon!).
It will also provide you with the possibilities to mark complete sets at once, with/without weapons and with/without jewelry.

1st icon - Red lock: Intended to show this item as locked for later usage
2nd icon + 4th. icon - Green and light blue helmet: Intended to mark your current equipment (5 different gear sets are possible!) for an easier overview (especially at the repair stations)
3rd icon - Gray analysis icon: Intended to mark your next item(s) for reasearch
5th icon - Yellow coins: Mark item for later selling
6th icon - Another gear set 3
7th icon - Another gear set 4

In addition this addon provides you 4 filters to hide/show the marked items.
1 for locked items, 1 for the 5 equipment gears, 1 for the research/deconstruction/improvement items and 1 for selling/selling at guild store and intricate items.
You are even able to split the filter buttons, so they will remember their state for each of the above mentioned panels (inventory, crafting stations, vendors, guild stores, etc.)!

Each filter got 3 states, indicated like a traffic light: ON (green), ONLY SHOW MARKED ITEMS (yellow) and OFF (red).


How to use this addon?


Icons:
Simply right-click with your mouse on an item in your inventory/crafting station/bank/guild bank/etc. and choose one of the new "FCOItemSaver" menu entries.
Each item you enable an icon for will change the right-click menu text to the appropriate "disable" afterwards and it'll change the color of the enabled entry too.

Filters:
You are able to enable/disable the filters inside your inventory/the crafting stations/the bank/the guild bank/the trade panel/the mail panel/the vendor panel/the enchanting table creation&extraction, the craftbag and others by clicking the 4 icons at the bottom of your inventory.
Green icon: Filter is enabled. Marked items are hidden
Red icon: Filter is disabled. Marked items are shown.
Yellow icon: Filter is only showing marked items

The yellow filter will always weight more then the green filter. So enabling yellow filters will show the filter's items prior to hiding the other items only filtered with green!

You could also use chat commands to enable the filters.
If you just enter /fcois into the chat you will see a list of ALL chat commands.

Known bugs
-Items having the same name and level will automatically get the icons activated/deactivated if you only enable it for one of them. As the items got no unique ID and the item names are the same too, this bug comes from the ZOS developers and I can't fix this.

There are several API functions to check if an item is filtered, is protected, is protected at a special filter panel (bank withdraw, guildbank deposit, mail send, player 2 player trade, etc.).
Please check the file "FCOIS_API.lua" within the addon folder. The functions are in there and described by their comments.

Backup & Restore of marked items
As the game sometimes changes the itemInstanceIds which the addon relies on to save your marker icons, and you are not always using the unique item IDs to save your marker icons (check ingame addon settings -> general settings -> unique item IDs)
you somehow need to have a backup and restore function for your set marker icons.
The following chat commands (and an addon settings menu entry for Backup & restore) are avilable, which you can use before a patch to backup, and after a patch to restore your set marker icons on your items.
!!! Attention !!! Guild banks:
If you want to backup/restore guild bank marker icons you must open each guild bank at least once before you do the backup/restore or the addon is not able to read the data from it. And the guild bank is not static so other users might change it as well after you had opened them.
So the addon is only using the known info at the time you have opened it!
House storages:
If you want to backup/restore your house banks you need to be in one of your houses as you do the backup/restore!
-> So please open the guild banks once and then port into your house to do a full backup/restore!

The backup/restore will use the game's API version [use this command to get it printed into the chat: /script d(GetAPIVersion()) ] to backup to/restore from.
You can specify a different API version if you like to to save it to another value/load from this specified value.
If you do not specify an API version via chat commands the game will use the current version for backup, and the current version for restore. If, e.g. after a patch, the current API version got no backuped data, the addon
automatically will try the last API version for the restore (saved data from before the patch)!

If you want to backup each guild bank:
-you need to open a guild bank
-wait until all items are loaded
-then backup the dataset to the API vesrion of your choice.
-afterwards change to anothe rguild bank

-then backup the dataset to the same API vesrion of your choice without deleting the old API version backup! The guild bank items get "combined" then

Unique item IDs VS. ItemInstanceId
Each item got an itemInstanceId which is the same, even if the item differs in level, quality, enchantment etc.
And each item got a uniqueItemId which differs if the level, style, quality, enchantment are different. Sometimes even totally the same items got different unique IDs!
-> FCOIS was using the itemInstanceId since the beginning.

-Added a setting in settings -> general to enable the "unique item IDs"
This will only affect armor and weapons! All other items will still be using the itemInstanceId so you do not have to mark potions etc. several times.
Attention: To enable the unique IDs you have to set the option and do a reload of the user interface, by e.g. typing
/reloadui or using the reload UI button next to it !!!
If you just chnage the option and close the settings nothing will change until next reloadui!!!


Other addons
Added support for the addon Advanced Disable Controller UI
-> You are able to use the FCOIS filters and contextmenus in the inventories with this addon, and play with the Gamepad mode if you run around and fight.


Context menus
-Colorized the "Remove all markers" entry red in the additional inventory context menu
-Changed the self-made context menu for the filter buttons to libCustomMenu entries. The context menus are a bit wider now and if you use more than 6 marker icons (e.g. in the Lock & Dynamic filter context menu) you'll have a submenu for the dynamic marker icons in the contextmenu now.
-> If you want to remove the text next to the icons go to the settings -> filters -> filter buttons -> filter and change the "context menu tooltips" to off.
-Added setting to remove "Mark as junk" entry from context-menus for items that are protected: Settings-> Anti-Destroy
-If you mark an item at the inventory's junk tab and the item get's protected against "junk" with this marker icon, the item will be removed from the junk list automatically.
-> If this item is more than once on the junk list all the items will get marked automatically (e.g. 2x the same recipe), but only the one marked with the context menu will be removed form the junklist. Otherwise I'd have to scan the whole bag and check if the item is marked for junk... This is breaking the performance as each time you use the context menu in the inventory the total inventory get's scanned...

If the options are greyed out you have disabled the marker icons in the options.
Check the appropriate submenu of "Marker icons" -> "Gear" -> "Enable/Disable" and enable the marker icons again in there.
Same applies to normal marker icons and/or dynamic icons.
Each icon can be disabled and disabled icons are not shown ingame in the context menus anymore, cannot be used for marking items, are not shown in the inventories anymore and inside the setitngs the depending settings are not changeable (greyed out) + dropdown boxes to choose marker icons are showing the entries "red".

No more options for gear sets

My Gear sets like Gear 1, Gear 2 are no longer available to set or unset. When I go into options, they're greyed out and I can't touch them.

Previously, I had set a gear 1 and 2, but I had to turn all addons off for a moment to test some other stuff, and when I turned it back on, this happened.

I'm sure this should be simple...

First off, love this addon. But all the set parts I pick up are being marked gear 1 and I just want them locked with the lock icon. Now they are being automatically marked with both gear 1 and lock icon. How do I stop it from marking gear 1 automatically for set parts that I loot?

It IS already implemented in these versions. I have adopted the API of FCOIS for this about 2 months ago and I was able to mark offline char's items appropriately.
If it does not work for you provide me the following infos pls:

-Which version of FCOIS are you using?
-Which version of IIfA are you using? Give me a copy to the link at git if they provided you an extra version pls.
-Did you enable FCOIS marker support within IIfA settings?
-Which item does not work to get marked?
-Does the context menu of the item show all possible marker entries or are there some missing like in your screenshot? -> Show another screenshot then pls.
-Is any of the marker icons from the context menu marked/unmarked properly or doesn't any of the marker icons work?
-What settings do you use within FCOIS?
Account wide/Char
Non-unique/Unique IDs
-What selection did you choose from the IIfA dropdown menu, so which items are shown (All, only baks, bank + char x, etc.)?

OK, i did ask and they did provide git-link, and i can mark items on my current char. But do you think marking "offline characters" items will be implemented? Or there are some eso api restrictions to that?

It is already worked on and the menus you are showing there are not working as these are items of not logged in users.

The most up2date "official" IIfA version is not integrated with FCOIS so far afaik.
So are you using the IIfA beta version from the GitHub or the comments of IIfA where FCOIS was fully integrated already? I don't think so.
Please check the IIfA comments and download the version of IIfA or ask the dev of IIfA to provide the most up2date IIfA verison with my FCOIS integration fixes from github please, to test it more in detail, thanks.

I've updated the version on the dropbox to hopefully not mark SetTracker marked items with tHE FCOIS set marker icon, if you have enabled the setting from your screenshot.

Edit:
I've also enabled the additional trait settings for "Check all markers", "Check gear markers", "Check SetTracker markers", "Check sell markers" which are inside the Traits submenu and ONLY apply to the automtiac trait marker icon, not the set marker icon (it got it's own settings below to the set marker icon dropdown).
Also enabled/disabled some of the set marker / Trait settings if you enable/disable other settings -> Dependencies are recognized in the settings now and will gray out settings which are not usable at the same time, or if the addon is missing (SetTracker).

Could you please try it out:

Thanks for update and everything works great now. Thanks for all the good work on best addon ever.

Yes i use following gear markers:
AutomarkedItmes for set auto marker, GoodGear for items i keep (set on some good traits and also under keybind if i want to retrait bad item later)

I din't meant any wrong when i said wasted time maybe i used bad wording. I meant that I spent time investigating what happened and tested it out to help You fixing and improving addon.

I also have few suggestions that would make my life easier and others maybe also.

1. Option to make Gear markers and all dynamic set as Gear to be unique, like I can have only one at the time so when i mark already marked gear item with another gear mark it will remove the former one just like deconstruction does atm. ( currently i have 3 keybinds: Mark as GoodGear(gear marker), mark for deconstruction, mark as AutomarkedGear (also gear marker, used to remove mark after marking with either of 2 mentioned)

2. Option to mark non-set items with selected marker + mark jewelry also option + only for quality: selection
(would be helpful when i need to lvl craft on new character or i need mats etc)

3. 3 additional tabs for trait options in automatic set marker when option enabled `use different rules for Large set items : Helm, Chest, Pants` (I usually keep large ones with Infused for example and impen but don't need sturdy for example or well fitted that i need on small parts

In general it looks like lot of work, probably for next major update, but it would be way easier to be able to set helms, chests, pants, all other small parts, melee weapons, destruction staves and restoration staves.

I also have added a new setting inside the automatic set marker settings to "only set trait" marker icon and not the set marker icon. This will set the trait icon if the trait of the item is enabled in the trait settings, but not the set marker icon anymore to avoid double icons.

Hi corgan,

First I'd like to say thanks. I appreciate such detailed bug reports and hints. I wish every user would invest the time to test and help me fix errors like this.

I aussme you mean "AutomarkedGear" icon = your icon for "automatic set marking"?

Just noticed this too and have added another option "Mark only traits" which will just mark the trait marker icon but not the set marker icon, if the item got a trait and you have setup a special marker icon for the trait.

Just trying to fix the other error message Xama posted and trying to unerstand what your other deconstruction info is about, as I do not really understand what is going wrong there. I do not have any deconstruction markers set in any other way then before.

Edit:
The deconstruction icon is from the non-wished traits?
If you enable trait marking (e.g. divine only) and have enabled the non-wished trait marking as well (standard icon = deconstruction) then the non selected traits from your settings (all except divine whch you have enabled) get marked with the non-wished trait icon.
This was the same since ages and should have worked already (at least it did for me and other guild members).
I did not change anything here.

Edit2:
Just checked the options "Check all other" and "Check all other gear" and the "Check all gear" is not working as intended. Thanks for the hint.
"Check all other" will not mark a set part with the set item or a trait item if any other marker icon is set to the set part already.

"Check all gear" will currently mark a set part with the set item or a trait item if any of the marker icons defined as gear (the 5 static gear icons or the 30 dynamic icons if they are marked to be gear) is set to the set part already.
But it shouldn't. Fixing this.


PS. Wouldn't be better to release beta first for testing new futures instead going live and than there is so much hassle and wasted game time to fix and revert all changes made Everything was working fine and now i wasted like near 2 hours trying to figure out what is happening...
I released several betas and waited for feedback since days/weeks and decided to release the addon at that time where I personally have the time to do and work on it. I have a life and I'm not here 24/ to wait or please everyones concerns.
And my tests were running well. I do not have the problems which you have posted, like "Check all markers" or "Check all gear markers" not working? for me they work 100%.


The "wasted game time" is on my side as it's my free payed time I invest into addon development!
It may sound harsh now but you are not forced to use my addons and I really work a lot on features and fixes + took over other addons I like so everyone benefits from a revival.
I don't remember or did not get any compensation for my gametime from your side, isn't it? forgive me if you did and I did not recognize or remember.

You wasted 2 hours, I've "wasted" real money and game time since the beta Just think how many hours you might have earned because your items were not deconstructed etc.

Just go back to an older version please and use this until the stuff you get annoyed by is fixed.
Another easy solution: Backup your savedvariables before an update and copy them back if something goes wrong + use the old addon version until fixes are out.
This is what i'm doing every day before addon update. Just copy the whole SavedVars folder

Did figure out that option `Check all other markers` at Mark Set Parts section doesn't work when set to ON. Also on 1.3.4 when setting this to OFF and than `Check all gear markers ON` and `Check sell/sellin guild store ON` also doesn't work in both versions. Been using Automark set items from context menu to test it. I don't have SetTracker installed.
