*****************************************************************************

Wykkyd Achievement Tracker provides simple enhancements to NPC dialog windows to make them slicker and easier to navigate.

Features
  • Track multiple achievements
  • Shows how much you have completed at a glance
  • Shows either a detailed view or a simplified view of the achievement goals
  • Option to notify you of any achievement updates. Either in the chat or per "alert" in the upper right corner in a non intrusive way, every 25% of the achievement (or at any update if the needed amount is <= 100)
  • Option to automatically detect achievements of the zone you're in and tracking them
  • Customizable keybind to toggle the whole thing on and off & to toggle the notifications on/off. See under Settings -> Controls
  • Left click an achievement to open the achievement window
  • Right click an achievement to toggle the detailed mode
  • Middle click an achievement to untrack and remove it

This is a new continuation of Biki's Achievement Tracker written on top of LibWykkydFactory3 and enhanced with my standard tweaks & features, and lots of bug fixes. I will be maintaining this addon here going forward. Basically I decided that I, as a player, preferred to have the same Wykkyd features available to me while using this addon, and as a developer it makes it easier for me to maintain if it's all in one code-base.

Advanced Setting Controls (available in all Wykkyd's Addons)
  • Save To Default - This feature saves a snapshot of your logged in character's CURRENT settings as a save set named SYSTEM DEFAULT.
  • Load System Default - This loads the current SYSTEM DEFAULT as your character's settings and effectively sets your character to MIMIC the SYSTEM DEFAULT. This behaves exactly like Mimic below, with the exception that the SYSTEM DEFAULT only ever changes when you manually save to it from any character, by clicking Save To Default.
  • Mimic... - This sets the current logged in character to adopt the settings of another character until this value is changed. This causes the logged in character's saved settings to reset every time you log in or Reload UI to be like the mimic'ed character. If you set George to mimic Bob, as you save settings on Bob while playing those settings will become George's settings too whenever you log into George. As you play George and change his settings manually, those changes become temporary unless you clear the Mimic box. This affords some fairly awesome opportunities for your play sessions.
  • Wykkyd's Preferences (where available) - This will Reload UI and set your active character to the basic settings that Wykkyd uses for that addon for his characters as his STARTING point, he customizes each character from there and you are encouraged to also do so.
  • Reset All - Resets all settings inside the Advanced Setting Controls section for that addon, for that character

Use of SYSTEM DEFAULT allows you to basically create system-wide default settings. I say "system" because these settings are not filtered by account name. So if three people share your computer, they all adopt the system defaults (if they selectively choose to do so). This is a "neat trick" for people with multiple accounts as it lets you share settings across all of them.

For example, if you log into your first character and set every Wykkyd addon up the way you want. Then in each you click "Save To Default", one by one. You've now established your "baseline", if you will. You can then log into each character you have (regardless of number of accounts), including that same first character, and inside each, in each addon, click "Load System Default". Now every single character will use the same settings. In fact, because you saved defaults from character 1 and then set character 1 to use those same defaults, even that character is inheriting the SYSTEM DEFAULT every single time it loads. This means if you're on character 7 and decide to change your default for all, all you have to do is tweak your settings and click "Save To Default" and every single character you set up this way gets those settings automatically.

WARNING: System Default, and Mimic, can be dangerous. As of this time this ALSO includes saved item sets, gear sets, quest header settings, tracked achievements... IE: it includes data saved by the addons too. THIS WILL BE CHANGING IN THE FUTURE to be more intuitive and robust. But I didn't want to delay this feature until that was 100% polished. After all, this is fairly useful as is.
2.3.5.5
Updated to API 18

2.3.5.4
Updated to API 17

2.3.5.3
Updated for API version 16

2.3.5.2
Updated for API version 15

2.3.5.1
Updated for API version 14 (1.9)

2.3.5.0
Corrected an issue preventing Automatically tracked achievements from being removed when leaving a zone.
(only the achievements for the current zone should show when "Hide old Zone Achievements" is selected.)

Moved the Advanced Setting Menu option to the bottom of the settings menu. (where Advanced options should be).

Known Issue: DLC tracked totals (on the Journal page) do not show correctly for IC and Orsinium, though the DLC total for both zones does show the correct total. This issue does not impact the actual tracking of Achievements and will be addressed in a later update.

2.3.4.2
Updated to support ESO 2.2.4

2.3.4.1
Updated the API version supported to 100012 (1.7.0)

Small bug that's been in here for a while now, it causes the background to be excessively large. It's at/around line 394:
Code:
achievCriteria:SetHeight(achievCriteria:GetTextHeight() * numCriteria)
Which should be:
Code:
achievCriteria:SetHeight(achievCriteria:GetTextHeight())

Hi all

Can you add a setting for the width of the frame ?

Can you add zo_strformat to achievement name ? (aroung line 310 of addon.lua) (in french it ruins the achievement's titles as you have both titles (for male and for female character)

If multiple criteria, you can't track them in detail, too bad

Thanks anyway for this addon

Hi,

thanks for taking over this add-on, it means a lot to me since I kinda need it. However, I have a few bug reports to make

The "showDetails"-function is sort of gone. It's still in the source code and I managed to put it back in, but since that is kind of what I use the add-on for, I'd love it if you could create a clean solution instead of my hastily implemented fix that breaks the height of the tracker box when displaying achievements with a lot of text (like the TG DLC sales achievements with the long names).

Also, when I click on the un-finished but tracked achievements, it doesn't take me there directly anymore - it takes me to the right category, but doesn't open and focus the corresponding achievement. I don't know whether that's possible for unfinished achievements, since Votan's Achievements Overview doesn't do it either, but if you'd manage that, it would be super-nifty.

Thanks for your great work!

Here's a shot of the upper-left part of my screen where the Achievement Tracker sits. The far left is where the rogue pixel is.

Thanks!
This bug still seems to exist. I thought I had a dead pixel. Then I discovered that it was only ingame. I searched the official forum and someone mentioned that it is the achievement tracker addon. I disabled this addon and the pixel is now gone.

Nothing changes. If auto-tracking of zone achievements enabled I see dungeon achievements when I not in dungeon so they removes manually checked achievements because I track only 8. This happens only in Imperial City.

I check this some later and if persist I wrote in this thread. On video I show how to re-produce bug. Just Imperial City detects as Imperial City Prison and White-Gold Tower at the same time when you not in dungeon. But as I say I check this later in this addon version.

I have tested using you first post as something of a guide, though it is hard to follow if some of it is request vs bug.

I cannot re-produce the issue with "No Prison Can Hold Me", also any acheivement I select stays selected, and clears once unchecked.

The only issue I see (so far) is that the total Tracked count does not show for Imperial City and Orsinium shows there instead. (minor issue really).

Please be sure to test with *only* the Achievement Tracker addon loaded to ensure you are getting the same symptoms. Then, if possible, please submit a video of you de-selecting, reloading and that the offending items have mysteriously returned.

Also, you may want to make sure that other addons are saving settings; if this one is not saving your changes this may be due to a write permission issue within your savedvariables directory structure.

Perhaps the problem only my, but the addon does not remember the achievements that I want to keep track of. Instead, every time I go to the game - he throws almost all the checkboxes that I put in front of achievements and tries to track down some unnecessary bull**** me. I always turn off the checkmarks "No Proson Hold Me" and other achievements of Imperial City, but every time they come back again. All achievements that I check manually disappears. But some achievements still stored and tracked, but what for addon every time poking me unnecessary achievements to track that should be tracked only at the entrance to the dungeon containing these achievements? Or Imperial City dungeons technically maked as a part of entire zone? Sewers different from City and I not see No Prison Can Hold Me in sewers but if I go to Arboretum or any other part of city this category shows.

Great addon, I just miss 1 simple but ow so crucial thing:

You want to see the tracked achievements of a zone ( check )
I want to read the achievements on that list once ( check, they are achievements so they dont change )

==>

I want to close this list and open it again when I want to. ( minimalise, or just a lil bar , that I click to expend the list again )

Is it possible to install this idea ?

Cheers

That event is not referenced in the source code ... LibsSilencer only sets a variable for LWF4. (it's literally a 2 line addon, the rest is for the setting menu and initialization).

Ach Tracker also does nothing with this event.

...and your post is in the wrong place. If you want to ask about LibSilencer, please post under that addon in the future, otherwise the answers will not benefit others as they may not find them.

too sad, not the reaction i expected but nvm, mate
few authors already start fixing their addons to exclude any crahes, etc

i will help with testing this solutions, at least this i can do better then develop addons
if you want i can describe how esy reproduce this crashes with 5+ addons using the same function
the matter not in this addon, but in many
i hope we all will find a cure
