Deome's ddShopkeeper

Deome's Addon Suite:
Deome's DataDaedra - http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info5...ataDaedra.html
Deome's ddShopkeeper - http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info8...hopkeeper.html
Deome's Chat Adverts - http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info8...atAdverts.html
Deome's Settings Profiles - http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1...sProfiles.html

NEW Features: Guild Statistics, configurable in Settings and viewable in your in-game Guild Roster panel. Also, scanning has been significantly smoothed; I'm now able to set Continuous Scanning to 60 seconds with little or no skipping, so give it a try.

(Currently working on polishing these description pages).

ddShopkeeper is my continuation of Khaibit's Shopkeeper. Yes, I'm aware other folks have other versions, and that's fine--but ddSK is the one I maintain and actively support (same as all my addons; I've been playing and coding since beta, and have no plans to ever leave Tamriel). You may experience conflicts, crashes, or get kicked for "spamming" if you use my addons simultaneously with any other addons that work with guild history (sales history, guild bank history, etc.)--Millus and I have published a library here on ESOUI (LibGuildHistory, below) that will resolve this for any addons that use it, but I'm not aware of any other addons that DO use it. Bug the authors about it so they can make their mods play nice with mine.

LibGuildHistory - http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info826-LibGuildHistory.html

NOTE: Requesting data for all your guilds takes upwards of 10 mins, every time you log in and out. Until then, you're gonna see spinny in the ddShopkeeper window, and your guild history tab will be temporarily disabled by LibGuildHistory. This is normal. Turn on debug messages if you want details on what ddShopkeeper is doing.

PLEASE explore the Settings menu. I have settings for nearly everything that I can reasonably make configurable, and many things are on or off by default.

The Settings menu also features a shiny "RESET" button at the very top of the panel. This is now the same as the RESET button in the ddShopkeeper window. The RESET button in the Settings menu is in all my addons now, and its SOLE purpose is to restore the addon from any bugs, conflicts, crashes, etc. due to the saved variables files. If that sounds like a lot of nonsense, just remember this: RESET = "It Works Now!" (if the bug persists, or it doesn't work, file a bug report on this webpage).
v1.13 -- Updated localization files with proper string IDs, added settings toggle

v1.12 -- Quick bugfixes to options menu, stability.

Hey, I'm getting an error box when I login saying Bad argument #1 and a bunch of blah blah with this addon name in it numerous times. Any idea how to fix this? Recently I increased my lua memory and got rid of the not enough memory caused by this addon.

OH bummer -- if you had to describe the "perfect" tool-tip what information would be on it? Just curious.

Just ave selling price? or price suggestions?

Just curious how big is the Price Tracker and DataDaedra saved variables?

I think it was just doing background scanning because all that info is local. My GSSEx savedvariables file is 13 meg - the old Shopkeeper was 14+ meg.

It's not possible to hover over an item and get an ave price without previous background scanning. You should probably increase your LUA memory reserved. It has to load all that into memory just in case you hover over something -- so if you have 15 meg in memory and are using the game default of 32 I would suggest you raise it.

You can raise it in the options section of GSA ... it just makes doing it manually easier.

Yeh, I am really big into addons. I have over 50 installed. About 30 are on all the time and the other 20 I am either too lazy to uninstall or only come on when I need them. That is said to say that I increased my LUA memory reserved a long time ago lol when Combat Analytics was giving me memory errors.

My Shopkeeper saved variables is 3.95 MB. My Price Tracker saved variables 10mb, but I do a rescan of the stores I am interested in weekly.

The perfect tool tip would be a combination of DataDaedra, Shopkeeper and Price Tracker/GSSEx Tooltips:

-The ability to scan guild traders and get the average price that people are trying to sell an item for. This would allow me not only to compete with the members of my trade guild, but with the other guild traders on the same map as my guild's trader. For example, my guild trader is in craglorn, so I would scan the craglorn traders. This is what GSSEx/Price Tracker do, but I would add more support for guild traders.

-The average price items are actually selling for, which is what ShopKeeper and DD track.

-The ability to detect trend changes, which is what I use Shopkeeper's Tooltips and Datadaedra Tooltips for. For example, if I have DataDaedra looking at 24-100 hours or sales and Shopkeeper looking at 12 days, I can judge whether what people are paying for something is trending up or down. This helps me keep up with the wacky things ZOS does to the economy which drastically changes the supply/demand of various items from patch to patch. An example of the usefulness of this is getting out in front of the silly value change of Warlock rings and the major price spike they had when the drop rate decreased.

The perfect addon would try to emulate GW2 economy sites(http://www.gw2spidy.com/), but within the scope of guild traders and addons rather than websites and global economies.

makes total sense

I think you are missing an alternative - I'm trying to use my memory but it's failing me right now

If can think of the other tool tip price addon I'll let you know but I was sure there was another one.

I agree long term it's very good - I have 4 months or so and it's very helpful.

The issue here was Khabit dropped 1.0 on everyone and vanished. The math was wrong, the tool tips were wrong. It was "why did you fix what wasn't broken" kind of thing.

I agree it is nice to see a suggestion on a tooltip - I still clear, reset and use the GSSEx one's not because they are the best but because I am used to them.

I've been looking into other alternatives lately though.

It was taken out in version 1.05 for whatever reason. As far as I can tell, every single author that has taken up maintaining their own version of Shopkeeper has decided to remove that feature, so you are going to be stuck using an older version if you want to keep it. I solved it by just downloading version 1.03 from the ddShopkeeper other files.
Do you mean the ave it's selling for, or ave you have sold it for?

if it's the 2nd one - you will now have access to that (again).

If it's the first one then I'm not sure I think the math was wrong and the tool tips were so fubar no one wanted to spend that much time to fix someone else mistakes.

by going back to 1.03 you will re-inherit all the errors fixed since then. (I have no idea what they are) - I haven't been following the code changes since Deone and I split off into different directions.
