Deome's ddShopkeeper

Deome's ddShopkeeper - http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info8...hopkeeper.html
Deome's Chat Adverts - http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info8...atAdverts.html
Deome's Settings Profiles - http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info1...sProfiles.html

NEW Features: Guild Statistics, configurable in Settings and viewable in your in-game Guild Roster panel. Also, scanning has been significantly smoothed; I'm now able to set Continuous Scanning to 60 seconds with little or no skipping, so give it a try.

(Currently working on polishing these description pages).

ddShopkeeper is my continuation of Khaibit's Shopkeeper. Yes, I'm aware other folks have other versions, and that's fine--but ddSK is the one I maintain and actively support (same as all my addons; I've been playing and coding since beta, and have no plans to ever leave Tamriel). You may experience conflicts, crashes, or get kicked for "spamming" if you use my addons simultaneously with any other addons that work with guild history (sales history, guild bank history, etc.)--Millus and I have published a library here on ESOUI (LibGuildHistory, below) that will resolve this for any addons that use it, but I'm not aware of any other addons that DO use it. Bug the authors about it so they can make their mods play nice with mine.

LibGuildHistory - http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info826-LibGuildHistory.html

NOTE: Requesting data for all your guilds takes upwards of 10 mins, every time you log in and out. Until then, you're gonna see spinny in the ddShopkeeper window, and your guild history tab will be temporarily disabled by LibGuildHistory. This is normal. Turn on debug messages if you want details on what ddShopkeeper is doing.

PLEASE explore the Settings menu. I have settings for nearly everything that I can reasonably make configurable, and many things are on or off by default.

The Settings menu also features a shiny "RESET" button at the very top of the panel. This is now the same as the RESET button in the ddShopkeeper window. The RESET button in the Settings menu is in all my addons now, and its SOLE purpose is to restore the addon from any bugs, conflicts, crashes, etc. due to the saved variables files. If that sounds like a lot of nonsense, just remember this: RESET = "It Works Now!" (if the bug persists, or it doesn't work, file a bug report on this webpage).
v1.13 -- Updated localization files with proper string IDs, added settings toggle

v1.12 -- Quick bugfixes to options menu, stability.

The latest update to Deome's Shopkeeper was extremely disappointing. Rather than making them optional, the tooltips were completely removed. On top of that, the addon doesn't function at all anymore. I can understand taking the already well coded and well maintained shopkeeper and making it better and keeping it maintained, but I can't really understand removing features and making it perform worse.

OUCH!!! HISTORY sub-tab disappears!!!

Believe me, nothing shopkeeper is doing should cause this. However whatever bug is on their end is only made evident by something running in shopkeeper. This wouldn't be the first time I discovered an ESO bug that was only apparent to an addon, and I guarantee they will deny it's their problem.

(Patient: "Hey Doctor, my elbow hurts when I move it like this." Doctor: "Then don't move it like that")
Waiting a minute or two makes the tab come back. It only disappears when it is initially processing in my experience.

Anyhoo, don't be alarmed, everyone, but ddSK (Deome's Shopkeeper Continued) is a mess. Yep, I know it's putting out a ****-ton of errors right now--it works, to some degree, but there's more broken stuff than fixed.

Here's what I can tell you:

1) Right now, ddSK is the only project I'm working on. DD is stable and running smoothly (if you're having problems, delete EVERYTHING and update fresh, because I haven't found any), and while I have other things yet to publish, they're on hold until ddSK is smooth and clean.

2) ddSK is a mess. Taking over the project means I'm working to convert everything to code I can understand and manipulate at will. Coders are notoriously OCD, and we all have our own way. I'm not putting out any more updates until I'm done fooling around--thought the last one would fix stuff, but it didn't.

3) My goal is to maintain and/or improve most of Shopkeeper's appearance, functionality, and features. I say "most" because I got rid of the tooltip prices--I'm not going to try to pretty them up like in DD (DataDaedra) when that's pretty much all DD does. I'm going to fix the calculator and a few other things that look like they were half-implemented, clean up the SK window, and otherwise have it running the way it was before I took over.

4) ddSK will always be independent of DataDaedra. You will always be able to run one and not the other, though I will be working to integrate data sharing between the two so that they're not duplicating records and using up all your LUA memory (DD is VERY memory efficient right now, ddSK notsomuch).

I'm quite active in the trade guild, Elder Scrolls Exchange, and I respond more quickly to in-game mail questions/comments (@deome). I do let folks know in guild chat when new updates are finished, but you can also check back on this page throughout the week.
It would be awesome if you left the shopkeeper tooltip prices untouched or as something that can be turned on. I like to use Both DD and Shopkeeper's tooltip prices. Otherwise, great job.

Conflicts with CraftCompare ... ?

Hi,
it seems ddShopkeeper conflicts with CraftCompare.
(I'll post it there too.)
Maybe you'd have a look at it?

Problem while using Crafting stations

Just installed this addon yesterday, and slowly started populating the information. Excellent stuff, thanks for keeping it up to date!

I'm getting this error while in the crafting table (clothing, but doesn't seem to matter)

Maybe it's something in the config that's messed up? I didn't touch any settings yet, and haven't looked at them.

Thank you for any help
Best regards,
Leandro

This is a nice addon, but the whole point of addons to me is being able to quickly obtain information in game. I am more in favor of addons that seek to add information into item tooltips so that I can get the information I need just by hovering the mouse over an item.
THIS!

And it only tracks your sales, so you don't get actual prices on staff you don't sell before..
All slaes its useless and monstuous info you dont need
it weighting too much mb like for the SavedVariables file, afaik
you just need DataDaedra or Price Tracker addon to see the average price of the items in tooltip
and with that new addon you also can keep all your sales, nomatter what
because of additional standalone soft

all other addons for sales, including this one - dont keep your sales for long time, and they just erase history every few weeks or every month

al teast now we have this soft GuildSales Assistant, and there is no other addons like this on esoui
That isn't how I do my sales. I don't need all of my sales. The game's economy changes so drastically every time they juggle drop rates and stuff with the monthly major patches that I don't really need long term data.

Hi Deome, do you plan on fixing the price calculations in the original shopkeeper code?

This is the analysis I posted in the original comments:

I found one possible issue: It looks like there are inconsistencies in handling stacks.

I have confirmed the following:
- Voidstone Ore is listed at 20 in the tooltip. The value is derived from 9 stacks of 100 at 2000g each. So here the value listed is for one unit.
- Iron Ore is listed at 900 in the tooltip. The value is derived from one stack of 100 at 900g. So here the stack value is shown, not the unit value.
- Calcinium Ore is listed at 156g in the tooltip. The value is derived from two sales. One stack of 6 at 36g and another stack of 46 at 276. So here the addon does not take the stack size into account at all and only averages individual sales.
- Topgrain Hide Scraps: listed at 7.78 in the tooltip. Derived from three sales. Stack of 19 at 114g, stack of 22 at 132 gold, stack of 100 at 2000g. I don't know how you got the 7.78, but I think the average should be weighted by the number of units sold for a given price. In this case 100 units were sold at a price of 22 and 41 units were sold at a price of 6 each. So the unit price should be (100 x 22 + 41 x 6)/141 = 17.34752.

I have a feature request too. It would be great if you could list both the unit and the stack price for the specific item. Example: I hover over a stack of 17 Columbines and the tooltip shows me the unit price for columbine and the stack price for 17 columbines.

Keep up the great work! And thanks for aopting the addon!

Oops

Shopkeeper

scans only one guild
Assumably the first guild as it is the one I am in the longest
and changing guild doesn't make a difference
