DESCRIPTION
This addon includes many camera features to enhance the game experience.
Gain total control and enjoy all the world using the camera settings you want depending on what you do.
  • Control!
    ⋅ Add some useful bindings to control the camera: shoulder swap, center, …
  • Don't change!
    ⋅ Prevent the camera change that occurs on interactions: chatting, craft stations, style station, lockpicking, …
  • Do change!
    ⋅ Replace the camera change for each interaction type with a custom one,
    ⋅ Configure your own camera change on “events”: mounting, stealth, combat, draw/sheath weapon, werewolf.
  • Enjoy!
    ⋅ For each interaction and event, you can choose to switch to first or third person, and modify the camera position, zoom and field of view.
    ⋅ Forget about the mouse wheel, focus on what you're doing!

BINDINGS
  • Swap camera shoulder side,
  • Toggle camera in center position,
  • Swap / Toggle (If you prefer using only one keybind: 1 press to center, 2 to switch side),
  • All the above got 2 possible bindings: 1 for a smooth switch, and 1 for a fast instant switch,

  • Camera preferred parameters: distance, field of view, and horizontal/vertical position. It overrides the regular camera settings.

  • *NEW* 3 static cameras can be configured. Only works with keybindings.

  • Prevent any camera change on interactions : talking to NPCs, using craft stations, lockpicking, reading, siege.
    That really is better for immersion not to change the camera on each interaction! You can't imagine.
    For example, when you talk with someone, the camera won't focus on them.
    (I recommand to allow the camera change for “Stations”, anyway, that's strange to craft without moving.)
  • Use your own camera settings when in interactions.

  • Automatically change any of your camera settings when "events" occur: chatting, mounting, in stealth, wielding weapons, in combat, in werewolf form.
  • Preset can be picked between: None / Center camera on 3rd person / Switch to 1st person / Switch to 3rd person / Custom (Do what you want).
  • There are also some specific parameters for the events: use combat to trigger draw weapon, delay to restore for combat, keep minimal distance while in werewolf…
  • *NEW* Option to prevent another camera change when on mount.

Hey luisz,

No. This is a game limitation.
As far as i know, there is no way to zoom-out more that the options permit it.

But yes, I'd like to add it my own way in my addon, somehow, somewhen.

Yeah, I tried "No, Thank You!" for it. Unfortunately, it conflicts with Custom Item Preview and Furniture Preview. (Obviously, both of those addons wouldn't be used at the same time since they do the same thing. I only mention both because the No Thank You setting broke them both when I tested.)

So I was hoping there could be a way for someone to implement the anti-rotations while still allowing furniture previews. It might be a game limitation, though.

I know you have "Add a way to prevent camera change when opening menus" in your To-Do List, and the addon StopIt is able to do it, but unfortunately, that addon doesn't have a settings menu. It changes too many things I'm not wanting changed.

I'm looking for an addon that keeps the camera from changing when opening my inventory. Opening multiple containers from my inventory can make me pretty dizzy with how the camera switches so much.

I'm sorry about that.

It's caused by the same problem than a few posts before :
“ In short: The 1st <-> 3rd person toggling is not managed the same way as a zoom in/out by the game, but corresponds to a zoom value. ”
It needs some time to resolve, and I don't have much for now.

Crafting Station camera movement

Thank you for the addon. I got this solely to remove camera movement after entering the crafting interface. This addon removes the camera rotation but replaces it with the camera zooming out to third person view after you enter the crafting interface.

What settings do I need to stop all camera movement after entering the crafting station screen? Or is this not possible with this addon?

Perfect day for an update! The luxury vendor in Coldharbour is up

Here's what I did:

1) Visit the luxury vendor -> no preview
2) Reset N'TAK' Camera settings to defaults -> preview works
3) Played played around with the settings -> preview always worked

So it is hard to says what was the cause.
I did not reset the settings when had the issue with the older version,
nor did I backup the settings before I did the reset (Sorry)

However, it is working now.
Many thanks for your support and your wonderful addon.

No Furniture Preview

Hello,

When I visit the luxury Furnisher in Coldharbour, no furniture preview is provided.
If I disable this addon, previewing works as normal.

I played with the settings, but not luck

Yay, that's a weird problem ! I'll try to check that during this week-end.
In the meantime, you can toggle the debug output using the /ntcam_debug command to ensure the events are correctly triggerred and all.

I do have a weird problem with your mod.
Installed it via Minion incl LibAddonMenu 2.0, everything seems to be in order in the ingame Addon menu.
Set it up so the camera switches from 1P to 3P when i draw my weapon, but it didn´t work. Well i does show up as "Out of Date" in the Addon Menu, so i left it aside.

Ok, so… In the code, I'm using the function “GetInteractionType()” to know which type of interaction is triggered and prevent it if necessary.
Bad news is that the interaction type value is the same (14) for whoever you are chatting with.
It can be a banker, a vendor, a quest-giver, or nobody important…

So, I don't really know what to do.
And I think it would be ugly to "remove" the interaction camera after checking the dialog content.
But I'll give it a try and tell you.

Yeeeeees, it works with Chatting, I worded poorly again. The Chatting interaction starts with the 'interact' scene but I was looking for one where it starts with tradinghouse only, so that it wouldn't override the default 'interact' camera, only the part where I have the 'tradinghouse' scene active.
Ok, I understand.
I'll try and add a few options to better "target" the interactions if we want to prevent (or keep) the default camera change.
