Eyefinity Support  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.2.1
by: Tinuviel [More]
Constrains the User Interface to the center monitor in Eyefinity / Nvidia Surround
If you don't know what these technologies are, this addon is not for you

Eyefinity support has been updated to work as a WykkydFramework extension. As such, the new version requires Wykkyd Framework. Once you install both, you must go to Settings -> Wykkyd -> Multiple Monitor Setup. From there, select (3) monitors and (2) as the target, then enable 'Multi-Monitor support'.

Version 1.2.0 + 1.2.1
- Adds two settings to override the bezel correction value. Can be accessed by Settings->Wykkyd->Eyefinity Settings. Note, you must turn on 'Override Bezel Correction' for your value in 'Bezel Width' to apply.
- Fixed hook into Wykkyd's 'Enable Multi-Screen Support' option. Will now correctly apply element changes when you turn multi-screen support on and off (most prominent when using bezel-corrected resolutions).
- Refactored code to be more maintainable.

---------------------------------------------
Eyefinity support adds mostly-complete fixes to the User Interface to make ESO compatible with triple monitor systems. Fixes the following parts of the ui:
  • NPC Dialogs!
  • Raid and Party frames
  • (Esc) Menu
  • Quest Tracker
  • All tabs in the main menu (Map, Social, Mail, Notifications, Help, Groups, Guild, Skills, Quests, Alliance War)
  • Equipped Gear
  • Main menu keybindings (etc, the [Alt] Quit)

Known Issues:
  • While turned on, you cannot resize the chat window. Attempts result in the window moving a monitor to the right (Not sure I can fix). You can get around this by going to wykkyd settings and disabling milti-monitor support, making your resize, then re-enabling
  • After log-off and log-on, the chat window may be shifted one monitor to the right.
Version 1.2.1
- Fixed conversation window bug when toggling multi-screen support on and off

Version 1.2.0
- Adds two settings to override the bezel correction value. Can be accessed by Settings->Wykkyd->Eyefinity Settings. Note, you must turn on 'Override Bezel Correction' for your value in 'Bezel Width' to apply.
- Fixed hook into Wykkyd's 'Enable Multi-Screen Support' option. Will now correctly apply element changes when you turn this on and off (most prominent when using bezel-corrected resolutions).
- Fixed errors and UI display issues when turning multi-screen support on and off. If you turn it off, then on again, the conversation window breaks. /reloadui fixes the problem (I'm trying to fix it)
- Refactored code to be more maintainable.

Version 1.1.4 Features
- Changes equipment tooltips to show on the right of the button, instead of the left.

Version 1.1.3 Features
- Fixes overflowing black backgrounds on the equipment, skills, and map screens

Version 1.1.2 Features
- Fixes accidentally broken non-bezel corrected resolutions

Version 1.1.1 Features
- Fixes support for bezel corrected resolutions

Version 1.1
- Adds support for bezel corrected resolutions
- Converted over to WykkydFramework. Changed scaling functionality to use Wykkyd's but hooked in Bezel correction and conversation fixes. (This should make the addon more stable)
- Minimized chat window fixed

Thanks man. I'll try to fix whatever I can with it, as I was irritated with the UI myself being an eyefinity user. In the future I will probably be making my own UI replacement mod, so that will solve the issues, but it'll be a while before I do that. This is a good hangover until then.

I'm actually surprised how many downloads it has so far, as I figured eyefinity use was more limited.

Make sure that not only do you have WykkydFramework installed and currently active, but you also have to enter the Wykkyd Settings and turn ON the setting for Multi-Monitor support. Do a /reloadui after turning the setting on.

----

As for this Addon -- FINALLY! I salute you good sir. I'm having some issues myself as I cannot get it to work the way I want in bezel corrected resolutions. If I attempt to run it at 5970 x 1080 (bezel corrected), it still cuts off about half of the left-hand side of my equipped items when I enter my inventory. I don't understand this as the game menu isn't cut off at all as I would expect.

I am able to run at a normal 5760 x 1080 without bezel correction the inventory loads fine without any cut off. It's driving me bananas!

If I can ever get my inventory issue straightened out, I'll love this addon!

*Thanks for that. I was discussing the Wykkyd 3 monitor stuff with a guildy the other day, but did not realize I needed it on with the new version. Much appreciated!*

>>>EDIT: I spoke too soon. I run 4 monitors...one on top with a 1920x1080 res, and 3 on bottom using Nvidia Surround running at 5920x1080 res. After turning on Wykkyd's multi monitor support, no matter what configuration of screens I tell it to use, all of the default stuff that would be in the center is either on my far left screen, off my far left screen, or on my far right screen. There is no way to get it centered, and now I have no idea what to do.

Character text in between screens again.

Thanks again and in regards to comment below I think there are more 3 screen gamers out there than we know :L).

I have done everything below and integrated WYKK..... but now the character text sits between 2 screens again. When you first released the mod it sat on my enter screen can this be corrected again ?

Hrm, I'm suprised that there are so many issues with the new version. I switched over to Wykkyd because it did the fix in a much more elegant way than I accomplished before. Because of this, I was expecting it to be more compatible with things, not less.

If you're still having problems, go ahead and go to the file archive and use version 1.0. It seems while that fix was dirtier, it worked better for a variety of players. If you do this, make sure to turn off the wykkyd setting first! I'll try to integrate a bezel correction feature into that one and release it.

I had already downloaded it, but have not as of yet installed it again. It had a few minor issues, but 90% of things were perfect. I will attempt to detail my issue for you real quick....

The numbers 1,2,3,and 4 are my monitors. 1-3 are in a configuration using Nvidia Surround to be essentially 1 monitor.

I play on 1,2, and 3. 4 just sits at the top holding info and gadgets, and is not used for gaming.

__4__
1_2_3

When I have both you mod and wykkd's turned on, everything that should be in the center of 2 is not. I am going to space this out and use a capital I as where the reticle, center of the action bar, center of the compass lie when I try the different configs in Wykkds.

1 I2 3 or I1 2 3 or 1 I 2 3

As you can see each time I try something different, it goes somewhere else.

Because I use the Minion to auto update my addons, my hope is that I can get it to work somehow.

Thanks for all your hard work on this.

Well, when I setup my setup to yours, ESO just crashes outright... (I have SLI 670's using surround, regardless of the name of the addon) This is an interesting one. I'm trying to figure it out for you.

I just released a minor patch that should fix this for you. I use 5760x1080 with a 130px correction. I haven't tested it with other corrections though. Please let me know if this works.

And I accidentally broke non-bezel corrected resolutions. Drat!
Fix incoming in the next half hour or so hopefully. Need to do more testing this time...

Update released, after testing in both bezel and non-bezel corrected resolutions. Also tested having a center monitor on-top in non-bezel corrected resolution.

@BloodEagle: I can't reproduce this, but it does look strange if you edit the monitor count in wykkyd. If after the 1.1.2 update it's still messed up, can you try:
1) /reloadui
2) Esc -> Settings -> Wykkyd -> 'Enable Multi-Screen Support' to OFF
3) Change 'Number of Screens' to 3, 'Target Screen' to 2
4) Enable Multi-Screen Support to ON

If none of that works, please PM me and I'll see if there's not anything more we can try

You're awesome Tinuviel! The equipment menus now fits perfectly in my center monitor. THANK YOU!

I only have one issue remaining, and I don't think that it's dealing with this addon directly. But you or someone else may know what's going on with this. When using this addon, and arranging my screen layout of other addons, everything works great until I log off. After I log back in, everything on my screen is still laid out how it was previously, but shifted to the monitor to the right of where it should be.

For example, I use 3 monitors in a |3|2|1| setup. I have crafting timers and achievement trackers on the left-most monitor (3), the main GUI, a minimap, and a combat log on the middle monitor (2), and currently I do not add anything to the right-most monitor (1) due to the issue I'm having as it moves off-screen if I log out.

When I log back in after loging out all of my crafting/achievement addons are still in the same position as they where on monitor 3 when I logged out... however they will be moved right a screen onto monitor 2 now. Likewise for my combat logs that were on monitor 2, they move right a screen to monitor 1. Anything that I have on monitor 1 prior to log out moves off-screen and I have to disable all my multi-monitor settings, re-position everything, then enable the multi-monitor settings again -- which works until I log out and then I have to repeat the process again.

It's worth mentioning that the game UI stays put on monitor 2. This was also occurring prior to the bezel correction fix, but was not my main concern at that time. I'm wondering if it's because I got 3|2|1 instead of 1|2|3 -- but I am not home to test that at the moment. And their are reasons I have it configured as is anyway instead of that... but I could still test it.

EDITED FOR CLARITY. (hopefully)

Chat Moves??

Two questions. First one about the topic:

My chat window moves to the right every time I click to adjust the size until it's all the way on the right monitor in the lower right hand corner. Not sure why.

Second question:

What is the "target window" setting used for?

@TNStarDuster: This makes sense. They must not unload their default UI pieces when they log out, so when it does the repositioning again it will shift. If you fully quit, it shouldn't happen though. Not the best answer, but until I can talk with Wykkyd and ask him to fix it or I can find a way to hook into his code, it's the only way.

EDIT: Actually, can you try a /reloadui if that happens and let me know if it works?

Interesting, I reproduced it with one try. This must be the way that they handle default resizing in the ESO UI. I know it's not ideal, but you can resize if you go to Wykkyd settings and disable multi monitor support, do your resize, then re-enable.

This is used by Wykkyd to decide what monitor to clip the ui elements to. Why it's a setting I'm not sure, as everyone I know that would be able to use it would use 3 monitors. For now, everyone should probably have it set to '2'
