Dungeon Tracker
(Formerly Dungeon Levels)

(Click your flag to translate the page. Addon includes in-game support for all listed languages.)

REQUIRED LIBRARIES: LibAddonMenu

This addon adds completion and achievement information to dungeon (group and public) and trial tooltips, and overhauls the activity finder. It allows you to see quickly from the tooltip whether you have completed the global achievement for a group dungeon, public dungeon or trial, as well as visually tracking hard mode, timed trial, and no death achievements. Information is shown separately for normal and veteran versions. Also, for dungeons with multiple versions (I and II) the tooltips now show both.

Addon Settings contain many options to enable and disable various features. There are options for modifying map tooltips as well as the group finder and customizing the display.

There are many options and information you can track:
  • NEW: Click button to automatically select all dungeons for which you have not yet done the skill point quest at the LFG queue (can choose normal or veteran).
  • NEW: Show per-character group dungeon skillpoint quest completion status! (Thanks to the authors of LibUespQuestData which I referenced for the quest ID's.)
  • NEW: Shows current character's skillpoint completion for public delve tooltips.
  • Show a list of global dungeon achievement completion status on the Group Finder selection list tooltips.
  • Show a list of global dungeon/achievement completion status on dungeon (group and/or public) or trial map pin tooltips.
  • Show current characters' group challenge skillpoint completion status on public dungeon map pin tooltips.
  • Show global completion status of the achievement to defeat all bosses on public dungeon map pin tooltips.
  • Show global progress towards the meta achievements to complete all group and public dungeons in each faction on all tooltips.
  • Show missing dungeon description text Zenimax created to the specific dungeon finder tooltips in a style-conscious way.

Known limitations:

You will need to actually discover a group or public dungeon or a trial in order to see extra information in the tooltip. Addons like Map Pins MAY allow you to see the tooltips without visiting (needs testing).

Gold donations are always welcome!

Hi all, I’m back and working on addons again. Times are tough and I am desperately in need of financial support at the moment dealing with disability due to a bleeding brain cavernoma and other expenses on less than $600 monthly fixed income. - Changed the way group dungeon map pin tooltips display information for dungeons with more than one version: Instead of stacking both the I and II information and causing the tooltip to cover or even extend past the entire screen, looking cluttered and terrible, you can now press (and hold) shift to switch between version I and version II information when viewing map pin tooltips for those dungeons.

Version 1.02a:

Very minor tweak request: when you press shift on dungeon icon, can you make the name change into II as well (where applicable) as the statistics?

It already does, actually. However, due to the way waypoint tooltips work, it always shows both names on the tooltip for dungeons that have two versions. The II versions is probably down at the bottom. There is no way to work around this I'm afraid.

I will look into adding something like this.

Is this an issue with Dungeon Tracker or DarkUI? I can't use the color picker in DT but DarkUI works all around.

These LibAddonMenu errors you are describing generally happen when an addon embeds the library but doesn't use the OptionalDependsOn tag for it in their manifest, and thus forces addons to use that version of the library rather than using LibStub to load the most current. If you have an addon containing an older version of LibAddonMenu that doesn't make loading it optional, it could be forcing all addons to use an outdated version which will cause errors.

This addon uses the latest version of LibAddonMenu and includes LibStub and LibAddonMenu as optional. Using this addon with many others I cannot replicate these errors.

The best bet would be to disable all addons except this one, try and generate the errors, then load addons one at a time until you do, to find the culprit. Also, make sure everything is up to date using Minion. I know DarkUI just updated today, though it could be any addon using an old LibAddonMenu without the OptionalDependsOn load tag in the manifest causing the problem for ANY addon that uses LibAddonMenu.

Question Getting these Errors with Dungeon Tracker loaded ALONE.

Getting these errors with ONLY Dungeon Tracker running.

Clicking to change the Color and both Accept and Cancel throw this error.

user:/AddOns/DungeonTracker/bin/Settings.lua:85: function expected instead of nil
stack traceback:
user:/AddOns/DungeonTracker/bin/Settings.lua:85: in function 'setFunc'

EsoUI/Libraries/ZO_KeybindButton/ZO_KeybindButton.lua:218: in function 'ZO_KeybindButtonTemplate_OnMouseUp'
ZO_Dialog1Button2_MouseUp:3: in function '(main chunk)'
Getting this error when I click the reset button.

user:/AddOns/DungeonTracker/bin/Settings.lua:183: function expected instead of nil
stack traceback:
user:/AddOns/DungeonTracker/bin/Settings.lua:183: in function 'func'

user:/AddOns/DungeonTracker/libs/LibAddonMenu-2.0/controls/button.lua:72: in function '(anonymous)'
This error happens when track character is clicked.

user:/AddOns/DungeonTracker/bin/Settings.lua:167: function expected instead of nil
stack traceback:
user:/AddOns/DungeonTracker/bin/Settings.lua:167: in function 'setFunc'

user:/AddOns/DungeonTracker/libs/LibAddonMenu-2.0/controls/checkbox.lua:111: in function '(anonymous)'

When only this addon is running it shouldn't be looking/loading other LibAddonMenu correct?

Fixed.

@joshmiller83 - You were right, those errors turned out to be a result of my having moved some functions around to different files last update and things were still looking for them in the local scope.

Should all be fixed now. Thanks for the detailed report!

Is there any way to remove deleted characters from the addon's saved variables? It can make tooltips really messy.

For now the only way is to use the reset database option and relog into each character which rebuilds the database automatically. I will add a feature in the next release to delete individual characters, as well as a legend for the achievement icons.

Bug with SO & AS

Heya, love the functionality of this addon, but it looks like a bug was introduced when Fang Lair & Scalecaller Peak were added where Sanctum Ophidia & Asylum Sanctorium were broken. It looks to me like you added them to the list in AchievementDB, but not in SVDefaults, and possibly the tDungeons array size in DungeonTracker.Lua. Changing these makes the functionality work, but throws lua errors that I'm not experienced enough with lua to fix

For some reason Wayrest Sewers I displays inaccurate achievement completion for half of my characters.
Two characters show normal as incomplete, though they both have the Wayrest Sewers I Vanquisher achievement. A third character shows normal and veteran as incomplete, despite having Wayrest Sewers I Vanquisher, Wayrest Sewers I Conqueror, and Down the Gutter (Wayrest Sewers I Hard Mode).

I opened the saved variables to try editing myself, but I can't tell from the numbering convention, which dungeon is which. Which numbers would apply to Wayrest Sewers I Vanquisher, Conqueror, Hard Mode, Speed Run, and Survivor?
