Just tried it again - working fine. You need to have style pages in your inventory and Advanced Filters installed and working.

If you have screenshots or versions of what you're playing with, let me know.

Edit: should add the that add-on you linked, which I also have installed, does a slightly different job. It's for marking things you don't know, not for just filtering out a category.
