Wykkyd Toolbar is an addon originally programmed as a piece of Wykkyd's Framework. It provides an informational bar with on-screen display of useful, configurable, "tools".

Currently included tools:
  • Alliance Points
  • Gold
  • Bag Space
  • Soul Gems
  • Horse Feed Timer
  • Research Timers
  • Time (real world)
  • Level
  • Experience (xp/cp)
  • Experience Bar
  • Werewolf / Vampire experience bar

Advanced Setting Controls (available in all Wykkyd Addons)
  • Save To Default - This feature saves a snapshot of your logged in character's CURRENT settings as a save set named SYSTEM DEFAULT.
  • Load System Default - This loads the current SYSTEM DEFAULT as your character's settings and effectively sets your character to MIMIC the SYSTEM DEFAULT. This behaves exactly like Mimic below, with the exception that the SYSTEM DEFAULT only ever changes when you manually save to it from any character, by clicking Save To Default.
  • Mimic... - This sets the current logged in character to adopt the settings of another character until this value is changed. This causes the logged in character's saved settings to reset every time you log in or Reload UI to be like the mimic'ed character. If you set George to mimic Bob, as you save settings on Bob while playing those settings will become George's settings too whenever you log into George. As you play George and change his settings manually, those changes become temporary unless you clear the Mimic box. This affords some fairly awesome opportunities for your play sessions.
  • Wykkyd's Preferences (where available) - This will Reload UI and set your active character to the basic settings that Wykkyd uses for that addon for his characters as his STARTING point, he customizes each character from there and you are encouraged to also do so.
  • Reset All - Resets all settings inside the Advanced Setting Controls section for that addon, for that character

Use of SYSTEM DEFAULT allows you to basically create system-wide default settings. I say "system" because these settings are not filtered by account name. So if three people share your computer, they all adopt the system defaults (if they selectively choose to do so). This is a "neat trick" for people with multiple accounts as it lets you share settings across all of them.

For example, if you log into your first character and set every Wykkyd addon up the way you want. Then in each you click "Save To Default", one by one. You've now established your "baseline", if you will. You can then log into each character you have (regardless of number of accounts), including that same first character, and inside each, in each addon, click "Load System Default". Now every single character will use the same settings. In fact, because you saved defaults from character 1 and then set character 1 to use those same defaults, even that character is inheriting the SYSTEM DEFAULT every single time it loads. This means if you're on character 7 and decide to change your default for all, all you have to do is tweak your settings and click "Save To Default" and every single character you set up this way gets those settings automatically.

WARNING: System Default, and Mimic, can be dangerous. As of this time this ALSO includes saved item sets, gear sets, quest header settings, tracked achievements... IE: it includes data saved by the addons too. THIS WILL BE CHANGING IN THE FUTURE to be more intuitive and robust. But I didn't want to delay this feature until that was 100% polished. After all, this is fairly useful as is.

The world XP bar is for your werewolf/vampire level. There was a request to automatically hide the bar if the character was not actually a werewolf/vampire.

I'm not sure what to recommend. I just updated my copy using Minion and I'm not seeing an error. It also sounds like if you download it manually, not via Minion, then it works correctly? I can't even imagine what Minion could be doing that would break a mod.
it already happened to me with other minion addons incorrectly updated the addon and with subsequent login to ESO I got an error, but when the same addon was downloaded and installed manually all was well.

the comment I responded to was thought to be an alert for other addon users if the addon started to behave differently than it should after the update

I'm not sure how many people read the comments section, but I'm interested in getting some feedback. I'm currently looking at updating the currency toolbar items. As part of that effort I'm thinking about the addon settings. I really have a few things that I've been thinking at wanted to get some feedback.
  1. Some currency types are enabled via checkbox, others with a drop-down list. For the sake of consistency and code I think they should all be drop-down.
  2. Each currency has an option for "show logo" and "show title". However, it's not coded as a choice to actually show both. Once "title" is enabled logo is not displayed. Again, I'd like to change this to a drop-down options "Icon/Logo/None".
  3. As a more general statement, does it even make sense to choose logo vs title for each currency? Would it make sense to define these as a "general currency" setting that effected all currency types.
I've mocked up a version of what that would look like:


In terms of negative repercussion to these changes. Really two:
  1. Some of the settings saved currently for the toolbar would need to change. So post update you might need to adjust if you're not using default settings.
  2. I can't tell how many people use different settings on a per currency basis. Obviously, these changes would remove that as an option.
I think this would help clean up the currency code and reduce some of the options bloat. The current implementation looks like a byproduct of lots of incremental additions, rather than a deliberate "this is best". What I mean is: "Need to add a new currency? Copy, paste and rename the content for an existing currency." I'm probably guilty of that for at least one currency. What do people think?

if you update via minion it will throw a bug but when you download it manually it is okay

the addon is set to the middle and I have it on the top of the screen over the compass with the compass team is shifted lower so that the lyrics of the compass and toolbar are not scrambling and when the ladies update through the minion it moves to the right and cannot be moved manually dragging it further ignores the setting so that the compass moves lower to avoid overlapping the toolbar and compass texts

I think I see what you're saying. So you have the currency in your bank, not on the character. I don't think any of the currency counters specify a scope, so we're always displaying the API default. Which I guess for writs is character, but for example event tickets is account.

Is there any reason that someone would want to see the detail at both levels? Or a need to display the level you are viewing at? I don't want to make it complicated, just wondering what makes sense.
in my case I would have liked to see it without having to go to the bank, especially when the game allows all the money to be deposited in the bank (ie, not even event tickets). I personally do not see the sense of mathematics besides the operating capital of gold that mat rozhadzane after the characters even if I wanted something to buy I had to move it to the bank and then choose to the post where I want to buy one of the currencies. so it would be good to set it so that I see on the toolbar the total number of the given currency, so how much do I have the given currency to look at not just the status

Note:
I do not have the problem to adjust the addon to my own need (that is, it will not be a success of the official version) but I do not know how to do, in the past I addon adjusted for the jewelery according to the instructions posted here

Note 2
I miss also the possibility of viewing Tel Var stones, ie other names (payment)
I think it makes sense. Need to update the addon options and such. Code for currencies is spread over several files. Have a few things I'd like to run by Calia & Lakashi. I'll post an update once we've talked and I've poked at the code.

I sort of assumed that the commands to retrieve bank space for plus should return 0 if you are not an ESO plus subscriber. The above code doesn't error, but I can't verify that it fixes the issue. (So just looking for confirmation.)

Vency, I'm not sure that I'm following your comment completely. Are you saying that people not on the mod team have made updates and those aren't being carried along as we release updates? Or perhaps you're experiencing changes in releases but not seeing notes documenting the updates?

I try to put notes regarding the changes in the change log both here and in the RTF of the addon. Though, as you can imagine... sometimes things slip through the cracks. Most often when I add something new I attempt to preserve peoples settings and not simply enable every new widget. If I miss something, or a default setting doesn't seem right... or really anything, let me know.

If people have created extra widgets or cool updates I'm happy to talk with them. See how we can pull things together. I've really been focused on ensuring we have a sensible core set of features and reasonable update times as the ESO API moves forward. Which is probably another way of saying, I've not really been trying to overhaul or improving existing functionality.
