In many cultures, the throwing of the Mudball is used as a form of greeting between acquaintances.

Never again will you miss a friend's salutation while you were away. Never again will you have to wonder who you should send your greetings to in return.



Features:
  • Support for the Revelry Pie and Everlasting Snowball, in addition to the traditional Mudball, to better accommodate a rich diversity of greeting customs
  • Clickable name, for people who elect to eschew the tradition of the return Mudball in favor of a simple whisper

The best possible solution, would be to get a table of ID's associated with the names, and add filters to look for just those ID's.

Have a look at the addon "Toxic Players", it does similar for ignoring purposes

Thanks again code, if I had knewn it was that simple I had added it to my personal "do stuff addon" way earlier
But I thought there is no way to detect this.

I am not. That would be a bit too much complexity for an addon this simple (it's just a few lines of code).

btw: I'm really interested into how you managed to get the muddball thrower's name, will spy your code one day
I'm listening in to combat events, and just using the event's 7th parameter (sourceName).

Brilliant, thanks for that addon! I always wanted to have a list of players I can thank with another muddball

Is it saving the names to SavedVars so one could thank them later on after toon switch/logout/zone change?

btw: I'm really interested into how you managed to get the muddball thrower's name, will spy your code one day
