Thanks to Baertram, there's currently a working version of Loot Alert. It may break in a future update, so don't bug us for fixes or requests. If fixes get implemented, I'll be sure to post them here.

Also, I can't say for certain that the first link will always be available. The 2nd is from my personal Dropbox, and should always be available for download.

Long time lurker, addon fan, I just registered to thank you for the hack : you are a life saver, just LOVE this addon (no bell'n'whistles, just plain text/info is enough)

Since we have not heard from the author, they are most likely unaware of the issue and not working on a fix at the moment. As a temporary fix, here is what I tried. NOTE: TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK, AND MAKE BACKUPS FIRST

I used a text editor and went to line 942 of the LootAlert.lua file. The line should read:

change this to

This will comment out the offending line. In my initial tests, everything appears to be working now.

Since the newest update yesterday:

Hahaha. Been using this for about an hour and I love it so far. I love the little cheering/happy emote my character does when I pick up something of high quality.

But I also 2nd the request of making the settings account-wide. I have 8 toons in total and having to configure addons on each one gets very tedious. Thank you.

I realize you haven't been on esoui.com since November of 2018. I really hope you come back to keep this addon updated!
