Cleaner HUD  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 12
by: Amerlite [More]
There are a few things about the HUD that I find ugly, or too intrusive. This addon tweaks the visuals of several HUD elements.

The following elements are visually altered.
  • Compass
  • Reticle + Interact Text
  • Target Health Bar
  • Boss Health Bar
  • Action Skill Bar
  • Quest Tracker
  • Player Attribute Bars
  • Latency and FPS Meters
  • HUD Notifications
In addition,
  • The chat notification icon no longer pops up blinking.
  • Chat text fades out after a shorter period of inactivity.
  • Attribute bars no longer change size, but still preform a sound and glow animation to indicate a change.

Note: This has not been tested with the controller UI.

Confirmed. This breaks HarvestMap/Pins if using the setting "Spawned Resource Filters".

Secondly this would be a better addon if:
  • It hides the companion health bar,
  • Hides the stamina bar when running and only shows it if it's depleted.

Hi, I love this addon, it's really slick but I'd like to report some issues I've stumbled upon while playing with it for the past few days.

#1. Bandits UI compatibility issue
Target frame looks like this if also using Bandits UI.

Instead of this:

#2. HarvestMap pins no longer visible
This only happens if using the setting "Spawned Resource Filters" because Cleaner HUD modifies the size of the compass.

And also;

This interact prompt remains vanilla, can you also edit this to be less intrusive?

Can confirm this edit below works. No more UI error about indexing nil value.

Try this version. I've chnage the code to load "later" and it seems to throw no errors that way anymore, but I'm not sure if the changes this addon did to the activity tracker still work that way

Tried it out and it seems the health bars are back to being thin, thanks a lot!

After playing all my toons every day for about a week, the error has yet to reappear. I've also kept somewhat of an outlook concerning the activity tracker? Not sure what exactly what to look for, but all seems to be working well.

To my own curiosity, I will take a look at the difference between what you did and the previous version to see what you changed so that it loads later.

Thank you Baertram!

Any chance for an update? The latest ESO update seems to have broken/reversed some stuff. For example, the health bars under the compass appear in their ugly thick vanilla version again :/

Transparency

A bit too transparent in some areas. Details in the options and the inventory are hard to see.

Map and Lore Books.

Hi, I have searched for ages something that removes transparency of HUD.
Looks like you are doing something for Maps, I can't wait

Update

Greetings!
Thank you for this sleek overhaul of the default UI! I saw your other addon - Item Scripting - got updated for the latest build. So my question is, are you planning on updating this one too?

Last chapter introduced companions, along with their frame, and ultimate button. Those two elements does not fit in with the current version of Cleaner hud. In-fact the actionbar is missing the companion ultimate button.

After some digging, i presume that this has something to do with ESO removing ability to resize the HUD back in patch 5.3 but im not sure. Just wanted to let you know about this error.

Edit: My action bar also gets a bit jiggled around when i switch from kb+mouse to joypad.

same problem here. I even tried to use the addon without another one installed and the same thing happens.

Due to limited free time, I've decided to keep this Addon simple and revert its scope to only HUD elements. My efforts to modify other UI windows will be focused into a separate Addon that I can experiment with. Hope this makes everyone happy .

Inventory Grid View

I can confirm as other that this mod has conflicts with Inventory Grid View. Is there any alternative for Cleaner HUD? I do not like the default look of the the default compass and healthbar. I really like look of this cleaner HUD, but grid inventory is essential for me
