CShortcutPieMenu  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.5.3
by: Calamath [More]
Description:
This add-on provides a pie menu (radial menu) for shortcuts to various UI operations, except for slottable items.

- Do you like opening the collection menu every time you summon your favorite assistant or companion?
- Are you tired of typing chat commands over and over again?
- Need a customizable shortcut menu for frequent operations?
- Are you running out of available shortcut keys?

We ourselves really wanted to improve on the above ESO interface frustrations,
so this add-on has been newly developed by Team Calamath.

As a fast launcher, it utilizes the familiar Quickslot radial menu for the next fastest launch after the one-key shortcut.
Your favorite shortcut will be triggered immediately upon the pie menu selection.
Therefore, it is suitable for menu transitions, summoning, and command execution.

The Pie menu is neither a replacement nor an improved version of Quickslot.
It is intended to be used in conjunction to make ESOUI more comfortable.

Needed libraries/dependencies:
This add-on includes the following bundled libraries.
- LibCInteraction (Bundled library)
- LibCPieMenu (Bundled library)
YOU NEED TO INSTALL THE FOLLOWING LIBRARIES SEPARATELY.
- LibAddonMenu (Version 2.0r36 or later)

Features:
- Supports the following UI shortcuts:
  • Using Collectibles - Assistants, Companions, Mementos, Mounts, Pets, and Appearances.
  • Playing Emotes
  • Execute Chat Commands
  • Travel to House (inside / outside)
  • Frequently used UI operations - logout, reload UI and Player Menu transitions
- Managing multiple user-customizable pie menu presets
- Gamepad mode support
- Nested pie menu with mouse/gamepad buttons.
- English and Japanese language support.

Stibbons : "I can confidently recommend this pie menu, my lady."

Instructions for general users:
Settings:
(1)Register a shortcut key for this add-on. (page 2 of screenshots)
(2)Go to the Add-on Settings menu and set your preferred function for each slot in the Pie menu. (page 3 of screenshots)

Press and hold the shortcut key to bring up the Pie menu.

Note that:
You need to hold down the shortcut key for at least 250msec to bring up the pie menu. (Adjustable)

Questions & Answers
  • How do I create a Chat Command Shortcut?
1. Open the Pie Menu editor and select a preset and slot.
2. Select Action Type "Chat Command"
3. Select Category "(Immediate Value)"
4. Select the text entry box for Value and type "/<chat command>" meaning type slash and the actual command you want to input to chat.
Note: "Say" and other communication commands do not work.

Calamath's Shortcut Pie Menu add-on had finally reached its first milestone.

In the current version, the add-on now supports the use of collectibles and emotes, as well as the ability to trigger any of the chat commands.
Recent versions have added support for travel to your owned house (inside / outside).

Recent news
- Nested pie menu support [2021-07-19]
- Multiple pie menu presets support [2021-06-23]

- Brushed up the Pie Menu Editor UI [2021-06-12]
- Revamped Pie Menu UI design [2021-06-06]

Wish List
- Overriding the slot icon
- Improvements to the Slot Editing Function of the Pie Menu Editor
- Add the ability to warp to someone else's house.

May the Pie be with you.

Hi static_recharge!
When I created this add-on, I also received the opposite request from my gaming mates: they wanted to share the pie menu preset settings between both NA/EU servers.
Therefore, the detailed settings for each pie menu slot will be shared by all servers as you know.

But please don't be sad.
The pie menu settings assigned to key bindings can have different settings between servers as you wish.
So you can create a pie menu preset 1 for NA and a very similar pie menu preset 2 for EU.
Then you could assign pie menu 1 to the NA character and pie menu 2 to the EU character on the same key.

I once considered both sides of the request and designed current way.
Well, I believe that it has succeeded in convincing both sides reluctantly.

It would be too difficult a decision to change the save data format and ask everyone to re-set everything. I'll be inundated with emails complaining about it.

Hi Axiphel!
Thank you for pointing this out.
In rare cases, the same error occurred when interacting with items from the gamepad inventory screen.

The error message indicates that the error is occurring in the vanilla UI code, not in the add-on, and the content of the error indicates that some add-on program interrupted the process of keystroke manipulation of the item to do its job.

However, I believe this add-on terminates the process when it moves to the inventory screen.
So I am not sure if this problem is caused by this add-on or not.
As you may know, it does not seem to happen every time.
I'll do some research in my spare time, but I can't make any promises at this point.

[Update]: 2024/04/19
Upon investigation, I have confirmed that this UI error is occurring in the gamepad inventory of the vanilla UI code.

In other words, the error could also occur when using the vanilla UI shortcut buttons without using the pie menu to bring up the gamepad inventory.

I believe this is a case on the ZOS side.
Because they have recently changed their code by adding a preview feature to the gamepad inventory.

I am not sure which add-on is causing the glitch in your environment.
It could be this add-on, or it could be another add-ons.

Technically, it seems that adding a specific scene fragment to HUD_SCENE could trigger the same ui error.
However, it is possible that ZOS already knows about this problem, or it may be ignored as a problem that only occurs when using the add-ons.

I apologize for not spending much time on this matter, but I would like to put this matter on hold unless and until ZOS responds in some way to this issue.

You said conflicts, but the add-on you removed is probably causing UI errors.
Please stop using those add-ons or update them so that they do not cause errors.
You are using the Bug Catcher add-on, but that only suppresses the display of UI error message, it does not remove the cause.

Unfortunately, CShortcutPieMenu add-on cannot be used with add-ons that cause UI errors.
It is not a conflict, I made it that way.
Thank you ;-)

Issues:
- cannot be added new menus, travel to player homes or anything
- it seems some tabs aren't working properly, they appears in grey color and cannot allows to do anything
- there is a missing tab, the 'presets one', so it only shows 'preset 1'
- cannot reset to default
- got stuck wih an old config of the addon, I acquired a new player home and now I can't add it to the pie-menu :/

Calamath's Shortcut Pie Menu add-on broken after TESO update

Thanks.
Yes, I confirm this too, it seems latest TESO update made some things do not work for Calamath's Shortcut Pie Menu :/ , some issues are:
- cannot reset to default
- there are no options to add profiles anymore neither presets, the tab appears in gray and cannot be selected

This addon is really good, because TESO shortcut pie menu is so limited, would be nice some fix/update comes for Calamath's Shortcut Pie Menu, thanks

This add-on is designed to automatically accommodate new assistants and companions as they are added in the future.
In that sense, it is compatible with the latest updates as it stands.

The same can be said about player house, so if you were the fastest person in the world to buy a new player house you would be able to jump outside of the house with setting this add-on.

If you are talking about quick slot support or the new menu editor, that may be implemented someday.
But I don't want to promise anyone anything about my diligence.

The current implementation creates a pool of entry controls for each PieMenu controller, similar to the Utility Wheel.
However, since the PieMenu entry control is rather large, I wanted to manage it independently on the library side and have it shared by multiple PieMenu controllers. ;-)

Your point is right.
But I believe that the ItemTooltip should be used for item descriptions and should not be diverted to non-item descriptions.
Also, with the new menu editor, our shortcut tooltip is always displayed in the background, so it will be used at the same time as the ItemTooltip. ;-)

I'm really interested into this from a >technical way, as I'd love to have such custom pie menus for all kind of addons (e.g. in gamepad mode >for FCOItemSaver to choose the marker icon to apply to an item in inventory, if possible. This would >make gamepad mode for FCOIS "somewhat" doable then).
CSimpleJukebox add-on is being developed as a technical sample using LibCPieMenu.
However, it currently does not use its own pie menu controller, nor can it be activated from add-on keybindings.
Once we add these missing pieces to the API, it may be possible for you to use it.
I have to admit that I am shying away from maintaining it as a library add-on because it is a bit of a burden.
People will use it in unexpected ways if we release it as a library add-on, and we will need support if it doesn't work well.

LibCInteraction is something I'm working on to make a library similar to the Unity Input System, but it's not finished yet.
I have not yet implemented multi-tap interaction.
I have no intention of publishing this as a separate library addon.
I'm sneaking around behind ZOS's back.
