Thank you! Love this addon. I wish there was real blood in the game however.

Any chance you could post these files somewhere?

Thumbs up Thank you!

Garkin, you're the best!

I believe that the mod should stay as is, it's too awesome. Please don't blur it out as requested by pinstripesc or at least give us two versions!

Here's a screenie of awesomeness:

LOVE it, keep up your great work!

The only thing that would make it better IMO is addition of more blood textures.

3) Maybe bigger, blurrier spots? Like we're looking through a lens, or our eyes, rather than splatter stamps on the screen. I think it was Skyrim or Mass Effect that did a great job of this. Here's a quick google of the sort of idea -

1) I have added simple alpha animation in version 0.2
2) I have tried to make it a bit darker in version 0.1b
3) I really don't know how to do it, I can make a code, but textures are a bit much for me...

There is still no settings menu, but if you want, it's possible to change values directly in .lua:
Lua Code:
  1. --configurable values:
  2. local FADEOUT_DELAY = 0          --milliseconds
  3. local FADEOUT_DURATION = 3000    --milliseconds (FADEOUT_DURATION * alpha value)
  4. local MIN_SIZE = 256             --minimal splatter size
  5. local MAX_SIZE = 512             --maximal splatter size
  6. local MIN_ALPHA = 35             --minimal splatter transparency (percent)
  7. local MAX_ALPHA = 75             --minimal splatter transparency (percent)
  8. local HEALTH_PERCENT = 75        --(percent) first splatter is shown when character is below this value
  9. local HEALTH_STEP = 5            --(percent) splatters are shown/hidden when there is this much change in health

Really cool addon, my favorite thing is that it covers everything I have on the screen in blood, including my abundunt hud, check out the screenshot below:

Screenie:

Now, I wanted to ask you to make it slowly blur out as pinstripesc suggested. It would be so cool if it faded away instead of instantly disappearing which looks a little ridiculous.

Regardless, thank you so much for your great work!
