DESCRIPTION
This addon includes many camera features to enhance the game experience.
Gain total control and enjoy all the world using the camera settings you want depending on what you do.
  • Control!
    ⋅ Add some useful bindings to control the camera: shoulder swap, center, …
  • Don't change!
    ⋅ Prevent the camera change that occurs on interactions: chatting, craft stations, style station, lockpicking, …
  • Do change!
    ⋅ Replace the camera change for each interaction type with a custom one,
    ⋅ Configure your own camera change on “events”: mounting, stealth, combat, draw/sheath weapon, werewolf.
  • Enjoy!
    ⋅ For each interaction and event, you can choose to switch to first or third person, and modify the camera position, zoom and field of view.

BINDINGS
  • Swap camera shoulder side,

  • Camera preferred parameters: distance, field of view, and horizontal/vertical position. It overrides the regular camera settings.

  • *NEW* 3 static cameras can be configured. Only works with keybindings.

  • Prevent any camera change on interactions : talking to NPCs, using craft stations, lockpicking, reading, siege.
    That really is better for immersion not to change the camera on each interaction! You can't imagine.
    For example, when you talk with someone, the camera won't focus on them.
    (I recommand to allow the camera change for “Stations”, anyway, that's strange to craft without moving.)
  • Use your own camera settings when in interactions.

  • Automatically change any of your camera settings when "events" occur: chatting, mounting, in stealth, wielding weapons, in combat, in werewolf form.
  • Preset can be picked between: None / Center camera on 3rd person / Switch to 1st person / Switch to 3rd person / Custom (Do what you want).
  • There are also some specific parameters for the events: use combat to trigger draw weapon, delay to restore for combat, keep minimal distance while in werewolf…

Another plugin that uses LibAddonMenu-2.0 (Custom Idle Animation) also started throwing a similar error on reload.

Thanks for your feedback on this.
That's my bad. It's because I forgot (only on this addon) to remove the call of “LibStub”…
It used to be included in LibAddonMenu2.0 and has been removed in the last version 2.0r31.
( I guess you updated LAM2 )
... I'll upload a new version soon to correct this.

By the way, I wasn't getting the error because I installed a copy of LibStub for a few "old" addons.
You might want to do the same to correct the issue for addons that are not actively updated.

Exclamation New UI Errors, add-on not working

Heyo! I swear this was working yesterday but today I'm getting these two UI errors on reload. The add-on isn't appearing in SETTINGS>Addons anymore, and isn't functioning:

Yea I noticed that it wasn't drawing on the first try too.

I have Draw/Sheath bound through the controls menu to mouse 5 (side button) as the primary binding and that is what I was using in the gif, I also bound it to H to see if a keyboard key would work but same result. At that moment my hands were completely off the keyboard so I don't think some other input is happening at the same time. I tried fully deleting the addon including user setting through minion, reinstalling and setting it up again to no avail. I also tried other characters but its the same on all my characters.

I can test removing addons tomorrow morning but for now I have a list of my current addons just in case something jumps out at you.

Thank you for looking into this, I love this mod and having total control over the camera, it has such an impact of my enjoyment of the game and I appreciate the work that has gone into it!

Edit: I just realized I have stowit in the list, I have had that addon disabled in the menu for a while now, It was handy while I was experimenting with controller play but unnecessary on K&M.

Your understanding is correct. And it's working that way, as intended, for me!
Don't know what to say… Maybe you're triggering multiple events at the same time?
( You can use the command /ntcam_debug to toggle the debug output in the chat. )

Hey loclay,

To keep the original camera change, the “prevent default camera change” must be “off”.
But… As you're talking about “keybind different camera positions”, I guess you're using the “static cameras” ? As said in the settings of the “static cameras”, these ones will not be altered by interactions or events. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's working as intended for me!

The static cameras are meant to be “not moving” ones.
So, if I'm correct, please let me know how I can make this behaviour more obvious.
For example, should I rename "preferred camera" to "dynamic camera" ?

Do I have The Dumb, or is this just How It Works?

I like having the capability to keybind different camera positions. However, things don't work so well for me at outfit stations, where I'm not zoomed in on myself as I am with the addon disabled. I have tried every variation on Interaction Camera settings and just can't get it to go with the default game behavior.

I would like default game behavior on all four interaction categories, but still have everything else work. Can it be done? I've tried "Prevent Default Camera Change" both on and off. When On, I've tried "Do Nothing" on the preset. I just don't get the results I am hoping for.

What am I missing?

Did you, by chance, try to use the /ntcam_debug to check what the addon does ?

Just to be sure, you mean the “static cameras” ?

It would be wonderful is someone still experiencing these issues could be available to chat on Steam or Discord. 'Cause… as I don't have these (or at least can't reproduce), it's gonna be hard for me to know how to correct it.
Please let me know…

In the meantime, I'm going to upload version 2.3.3 that should hopefully "compensate" the unwanted behavior of 2.3.2.
