YeOlde - Infos  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.6
by: YeOldeDragon [More]
This add-on is a wrap-up of some info bars I use in game.
This is a work in progress, I'll update and polish them regularly.

Requirements

Available info bars

Endeavors info bar
Show your daily and weekly endeavors infos (with tooltip details)

Crafting Quests info bar
Show your Daily Crafting Writs infos (with tooltip details).
* Only functional for French and English language. Needs translation for other languages...

* Material qty info is only for some mat, related to latest crafting level. I'll update this bar to support all crafting level soon(tm)

Riding bar
Show when you can train your mount

Time bar
Show real time and time spend in game.

Inventory space bar
Show your used inventory slots

Golds bar
Show how rich you are!

Speed info bar
Show your current speed (experimental)

Language bar
Switch language with a simple click.

Mail bar
  • Quick check if you have new mails.
  • Option to show/hide text
  • Clic on bar to open mailbox.

Setting Menu
A setting menu is available to enable/disable and customize each bar.

Why ?

I'm using lots of bars to show some infos in game. There is already many bar addons and I use some of them... But when I can't find exactly some info I'm looking for, I create my own bar.
And since I've spent a lot of time on this, I decided to share my work with the community.

How ?

I've created a "framework" to easily create and manage info bars.
I'll update this description someday, to add details on the YeOldeUIBar and YeOldeInfoBar_Base classes, if anyone want to use them.

What's planned next ?
  • Option to lock position (new in v1.1)
  • Add option to control bar background transparency (new in v1.1)
  • Add new bars
    • Inventory space (new in v1.1)
    • Golds infos (new in v1.1)
    • Time + time played (new in v1.3)
    • Mount training (new in v1.3)
    • ...
  • Add more descriptions and translations in settings menu
  • Add some customization options
    • Visibility (show/hide in menus or game) (done in v1.2)
    • Custom fonts (done in v1.5)
    • Custom icon and font size (done in v1.5)

How to say thanks?

Since I'm spending too much time coding instead of gaming, just send me some golds ingame and I'll be happy!

I need to report a bug. When installing by Minion it extracts all the contents directly to the Addons folder instead of creating a new one. And therefore it does not work.

Also I would like to request a feature: could it show the amount of free inventory slots. It would be extremely useful!

Sorry for his one, fixed in v1.01.

For inventory infos, RAETIA InfoHub does it really well... But still, I can add it in YeOldeInfos to keep the same bar look.

Cheers!

Thanks for the addon.

Please name/link the required dependencies of your addons at the addon description so one is able to see the libraries/dependencies needed at a glance, even within the addon manager Minion. Else one would need to login to check and install the dependencies.
Thank you.

P.S.
You should definately add the >=28 (as the global LibAddonMenu2 was added first with that version, and older versions will fail to work with your addon!) version restriction to LibAddonMen-2.0 inside your manifest txt. At best even take the most actual version >>=32!

The current APIVerison is 100035, not 100034. The next one will be a change in APIVerison to 101031 to show the actual versioning sheme of ESO properly.

I've added dependencies in description and I'll add LibAddonMenu2 version in next update (later today).

Thanks for these hints, I appreciate!

I won't be able to push an update until late sunday (not at home and ESO won't start on my laptop), but you can try to remove line 251 in the libraries/LibYeOldeQuest.lua file.

Line to remove:
Code:
if addonName ~= YeOldeInfos.Name then return end

Request, please?

Could there be an option to only show endeavors in all of the character menus? (inventory, stats, skills, map, etc)

Hi there....Installed the addon right away and I think its a good concept. I like it...discovered some issues though...first...Its pushing inventory change notifications to chat - OnInventoryUpdate() - for everything u loot.. And second....if U chose to not show the on char gold and just show the gold in bank. after UI reload u get the bank icon with - n/a result and in fact...the addon disappears from addon settings menu. It still shows in the addon menu, just the ability to change the settings are gone. Had to reload UI and delete saved variables a couple of times, to get everything up and running again . Anyway I really like this and want to say thx for a good work...Hope the issues are easily fixable...

I second this.
Please hide this addon when using other UI elements.
