ItemSaver Modified
Version: 0.1
by: rajamakii [More]
Just a few minor tweaks to a kickass add-on by ingeniousclown
  • Changed the star icon to a lock symbol.
  • Changed the color from red to gold for more contrast.
  • Edited the tooltip from "mark item" to "lock item" and "unmark item" to "unlock item"
was trying to add a few other tweaks to it, maybe i can get ingeniousclown to help me with them!

i had that happen also once. If u mark one item, all items of the same will be markd. Reload was how i had the other items show icon.

Im not the original author of this, i only modified the UI elements of it. Try posting it in HERE.

I like your ideas, would just be nice to have one version.
I agree. This also seams to happen to many addons, like for the TreasureMaps addon I have to download 2 files just because it needs an extra german patch... ZR Minimap ya I still don't know what version is better normal or modified? And the list goes on Research Assistant, Lootfilter and Research Assistant Remix, Loot Filter Remix and so on. How can anyone remember what version of the addons is up to date...
This is just a modified version. Everything is the same as the orignal with my personal touches added. It will stand alone, or it can be patchd/overwritten on the original. That is why it is in the "Plug-ins & Patches" section and not the "Stand-alone." Even though this is the full working add-on, I wouldn't post it as my own, as i did not create it, just edited.

If you like it, have ingeniousclown edit the original version. Sometimes personal preferences are different, and they may not agree with the change, or they may embrace it.

And on a side note, ZrMM Modified is better
Did you approach ingeniousclown with your changes first to see if he would add them? I agree that personal preferences are different sometimes but did you mention it to him? Also, sometimes personal prefs can be added as options so that both can exist.

The problem with forks is that as he makes his better, you will always be behind in trying to patch your version to match his. Forks make sense when 2 people can't agree to work together, or if the original version is no longer being maintained.
lol i hope he makes it better! i just fixd what i didnt like, and wont be updating this if he adds this or something similiar.

No i havent approached him, ive tried with other people and have had no response from them, assuming they get tons of pms each day about this and that. Im not against working with him, or trying to but i really didnt do much to his original. As stated in the original info, its a kick ass mod, and all credit belongs to him.

In the case of ZrMiniMap, Aoon continued an addon that was no longer being actively maintained. In this case, its a good thing since there was no recourse in coordinating with the original author. Use Aoon's version, its the main one.
