Welcome to The Questing Guide (TQG)!

ESO's story content keeps expanding, and with each new Chapter comes a new tutorial and beginner experience. It doesn't always do the best job of introducing you to past content however, and that's where TQG comes in. Featuring an easy-to-use interface, simply set up a keybind in CONTROLS, and you're good to go. Press to open, press to close. It's that simple! (Or alternatively use the slash command /tqg to toggle the menu open/closed)

At the moment there are three primary tabs as you can see in the screenshots:
  1. Overview
  2. Classic Stories
  3. DLC and Chapter Stories
  4. Group Content (Dungeons, Trials, and Arenas)
Features
A list of quests compiled from both Zenimax's Zone Guide and LibUespQuestData, you'll find each major storyline in the game listed in chronological order, (defaulting to order of content release), where you can follow along or even check off your list you may have left uncompleted years ago.

Each major category, (Aldmeri Dominion, Fighters Guild, Daedric War, etc.), is preceded by a number indicating its overall place in the story. Within each major category is a subcategory where each zone or DLC is listed according to its place within the major category arc. For example;

(1) Aldermeri Dominion
(1.00) Khenarthi's Roost
(1.10) Auridon

Embedded in the GUI interface is a button that ties directly to the Zone Story function allowing you to instantly zoom to your current place in that zone. That means even if you've finished every major quest in the zone, you'll be directed to Points-of-Interest you have yet to complete, (maybe directly to side-quests in a far future update), or other objectives left in the region.

Now works in German, French, and Russian clients. Quest Names and Zone Descriptions are translated, Completed Quest Descriptions and the Overview page are not, yet. Let me know if you'd like to help, even just with translating the Overview page.

Future Ideas
Add a button similar to the one for Zone Stories for accepting Dungeon Quests, where the requisite DLC has been purchased by the user.
Add an "Easter Eggs" type of section for each major arc, detailing hidden stories or recurring characters.

How do prologues fall into the time periods?
Prologues should be sorted with the quests they precede. So in this case, The Ravenwatch Inquiry precedes the Markarth DLC, which itself is the latter part of The Dark Heart of Skyrim year-long story (in the DLC tab).

What you came across is likely due to ZOS's mechanics that deal with conflicting quests. If you had The Ravenwatch Inquiry in your quest journal when you were trying to pick up the quest after Shorhelm Divided in Rivenspire, there's a good likelihood ZOS was blocking you from picking up another quest from Count Verandis or King Emeric to stop weird overlaps from happening. (Which you saw in part with the 'clones'.)

Hi! I'm trying to figure out what you're looking for here. You want to click on a quest in The Questing Guide and have the map open to the appropriate quest marker in Quest Map? From what I know Quest Map only shows map markers for where you can pick up a quest (I don't use it myself so apologies if I'm missing a basic feature of that AddOn). So that won't help if you've started or completed the quest.

"Shades of Green" itself is an odd one, because it's objectives are to complete three other quests. So each objective is a "sub-quest". Shades of Green also isn't strictly speaking a "main quest". It's the three "sub-quests" you have to complete to progress, which is why it's not listed in The Questing Guide in the first place.

I know I'm meandering a bit in my answer, but... is it accurate to say you would like to select a quest in The Questing Guide that you haven't picked up, and have it open the map and show the map marker from Quest Map? I don't think that's possible with how I've designed The Questing Guide, (and other reasons), but I can look into it. No guarantees though.

As far as this particular case however, can you select the quest in your journal and use the "Show On Map" (default keybind: M) to show on the map where you need to go for the current step of that quest?

I wish this addon could interact with the addon Quest Map. So, you click the quest you search for and it shows the map and the blinking explanation mark of the Quest Map addon.

I almost finish the AD story line, but I had some problems delivering quests in Greenshade. It would be possible an option to enable and disable the gamepad option to see the keyboard view again while playing with gamepad, maybe I get used to it too much.

Replied to your DM, but in case you don't check those as often I'll just copy+paste here:

Can you try the slash command "/tqg" and see if the interface shows up? Additionally, you should be able to press ESC on the keyboard, go to CONTROLS, look for the heading "The Questing Guide", and choose a keybinding for "Toggle Quest Guide".

Let me know if any of that works/helps.

If not, I'll see what else I can do.

PLS HELP: I cannot get the Questing Guide to load properly.
I used Minion to install both The Questing Guide addon and the "LibUespQuestData" library.
In-game, when I look at the addon status there does not seem to be any issue (i.e. out of date or dependency)
Where do I access the addon in game? I do not see the symbol in any of the menu options. :/

Your language file is shrinked /lua minified so it's not good to read, else I'd have checked them all...
Not sure what the 13k filesize will be unshrinked but I doubt it makes any difference for that small amount of data. If we talk about megabytes it COULD help. Small files like that should not be shrinked as the ESO lua interpreter is not speeding up due to this

The German headline (SI_TQG_MENU_JOURNAL) "Den Quest-Leitfaden" is wrong and should be "Quests-Leitfaden" or "Der Quest-Leitfaden".
Your language file is shrinked /lua minified so it's not good to read, else I'd have checked them all...
