Description

This addon requires the following libraries:

They are included in the release and have to be enabled in the AddOns panel ingame.

Please note that currently only one addon with sharing of Information (DPS, Ultimae, Resources ... ) can be active.

Group Damage Share is an attempt to provide a feature that was unique to FTC.

It uses pings on the map to comunicate with the addon from another player to transmit your current DPS or HPS values. (for more details on this refer to the description of LibGroupSocket). With Group Damage Share you can watch during the fight how the DPS/HPS of your groupmembers develops.

Please note that this addon cannot show the DPS of group members who don't use this addon and enable sharing.
Setup + Installation:
  • Download and install the addon
  • Create a group
  • Go to the group window and click on "LibGroupSocket sending" so that it says "On"
  • For now settings are spread to two places (in the usual addon settings area): "Group Damage Share" and "LibGroupSocket"
  • If you want to turn sending on permanently you need to install LibGroupSocket as a standalone version. Refer to the description for more details.

Current features
  • Share your DPS or HPS as well as the combat time with your group
  • View DPS/HPS and combat time shared by your group (you don't have to enable sharing on to see the values shared by others)
  • The Icon on the left shows the class and its color the main resource (Magicka/Stamina) of the players

Planned Features:
  • Show both DPS/HPS in the window at the same time
  • Transmit DPS/HPS alternating so both data is available
  • Implement a standalone DPS meter so it doesn't rely on other DPS addons anymore

1) As the description says:

2) It might be possible, but would essentially require that I somehow make an interpreter of the data that FTC sends. I'd basically need to copy the code that deals with the data. At this point ppl might just simply install FTC or this addon. I made this a standalone addon for the exact purpose that it runs next to other addons.

3) It might be theoretically possible, but I want to keep it, that everyone who is shown, actively joins in. The ESO community is rather sensitive about there DPS shown to other ppl.

I looked into this, but so far couldn't find an issue in the current version. Can you please make sure that you have the current version ? The best would be to reinstall GroupDamageShare.

I've followed the instructions you've provided and the add on will not work. It's baffled my guiled buddies for about a month now as only three of us have issues with the addon and the only link between our plights is we downloaded it recently. Well the stats from Group Damage Share are no different. You'd see the same thing as when healers post their results from Combat Metrics during or after the fight. (They both use the same data collection library underneath) Also the API doesn't allow to discern between real healing and overhealing. This makes the attempt to evaluate healing quite hard.
