The continuation of sidCrashProtect is now called Medic and handles all kinds of UI bugs.
You need to install LibDebugLogger and LibAddonMenu in order to use this addon.

Medic currently fixes the following UI bugs:
  • Incorrect display of offline times in the guild roster and friend list.
All fixes can be switched off individually in the addon settings.

Previous bugs:
  • The antiquity minigame sometimes throws an error. Reported here Fixed in 6.3.5
  • Interacting with objects, e.g. to loot, rarely shows error dialog 'attempt to index nil value' due to an engine bug that passes an incorrect number of chatter options to the UI. Fixed in 6.3.5
  • The last selected inventory category is discarded whenever the menu is closed. Fixed in 6.3.5
  • Fixed bug in the compatibility function for the deprecated GetCraftingSkillLineIndices. Fixed in 4.3.8
  • Fixed three bugs in the color picker dialog. Esc key does not call the set callback, setting a grey value does not update the widget and the update callback is not getting unset when the dialog is closed. Removed for now, as it seems to produce errors
  • Potentially fixed the error in sharedfurnituremanager that some addon devs (and possibly other players) see occasionally. Fixed in a past game update
  • Fixed the Champion Bar going haywire when a quest is completed. Fixed in a past game update
  • Mail attachments sometimes get removed from the mail randomly when adding more items. Reported here. Fixed in 2.3.7
  • Mail attachments after an empty slot are not restored when closing and opening the mail menu again. Also reported here. Fixed in 2.3.7
  • Trying to link the resulting item at a crafting station throws an UI error. Reported here. Fixed in 2.3.7
  • The setting menu for health bars does not offer an option to show health bars only on injured friendly NPCs. Reported here. Fixed in 2.4.5
  • Provided options to disable the new player character icon and the secondary name display in the target frame. They hide both per default effectively restoring the state before the update. If you want to see one or the other you can find them in Medic's settings panel. In Update 12 the player icon has been removed from the keyboard UI, but it is still there in the gamepad UI, so I'll leave it in.
  • Fixed Low Health warning border getting stuck in some situations.

Bugfix Request Guidelines:
  • The issue affects more than one player and is reported to me by more than one player
  • The issue prevents normal operation, has no workaround, or is so annyoing that it is worth my attention
  • The issue is not something happening in the game world / 3d space (can't fix that with an addon)
  • The issue is not related to positions on the worldmap (can't fix that with an addon either)
  • The issue has been reported via /bug ingame at least one dlc ago
  • ZOS has not done anything or announced any fix for the bug in that time

Ayantir refused to fix this in dustman he believe ZOS will fix it lol

The same as in the mage guild of Orsinium. Or the island of the main quest (Where all leaders came together) And I guess a lot more.
The GetMapPlayerPosition does not return any other data. We have no data for move direction or speed. => No way.

It has nothing to do with addons. Without a mini map it is a bit tricky to see, but possible: Start moving and open the world map without stopping to move: no player pin movement.

But it would be great if @Chip could explain: why? intended???

ok i will, i will just buy it at the store

another issue i found

Loot history is off by default in tutorial
and i like it

but as soon as i finish it, and teleport to another location loot history become ON
can you prevent it? so it will be always off

I'll take a look at all of these soon. For the glyph issue it would be useful if you could mail me (@sirinsidiator on EU) 2 or more glyphs from different crafters for testing. I'll send them back once I have fixed it.

when you rightclick to a @name in chat and choose Add Friend

it always popup without @
so the request always failed

remember, there is 3 different maps
we discovered it with circonian

1) resurrection map
2) map when looking from transit shrine at the gates
2) map when looking from transit shrine at the keep

I never noticed that, but it has been a while since I did a quest in Cyrodiil and visited a transit shrine.

when you have quest mark on the map in cyrodiil
and if you open transit shrine map

you cannot see those marks

can you fix this plz?

If it is something that affects a large amount of addons I might consider it, but I am not interested in implementing fixes for each individual addon that breaks on an API update. That's the job of their respective authors. Many removed methods are nowadays aliased by ZOS themselves in addoncompatibilityaliases.lua, so that is mostly taken care of. If someone suggests a fix and I feel it is worth implementing, I will add it with pleasure, but I won't spend my time hunting them down.
