PersonalAssistant V2

There are already many addons out there that support Auto-Repair or Auto-Gold-Deposit functionalities, but none of them had the features I'd like to have seen. Because of that, PersonalAssistant was born.

After a two year long break from ESO, I finally managed to complete the major refactoring that started back in 2017. But not only that, I also added many more features that I could not even have thought of back then. I hope you will have as much fun using this addon, like I had working on it!

PA General
  • Up to twenty different account-wide profiles per module that can be created/copied/deleted/renamed
  • Keybinding to travel to your primary home (if available)

PA Banking
  • Currencies (gold, alliance points, ...) can be withdrawn from and deposited to your bank
  • Crafting materials can be withdrawn from and deposited to your bank (if you are not ESO Plus Subscriber)
  • Create your own custom rules and decide how many of each item to keep in bank or inventory
  • Other selected items such as motifs, recipes, writs, glyphs, trophies etc. can be withdrawn from and deposited to your bank
  • Select if items with [Intricate] trait should be transferred from/to the bank
  • Define a specific amount of lockpicks, repair kits or soul gems to always keep in inventory or the bank
  • Be always ready for Cyrodiil and define how many AvA items to keep in inventory

PA Integration
  • Support for various FCO ItemSaver marks
    • PABanking: Deposit or withdraw item marked for/as Research, Deconstruction, Improvement, Selling at guildstore, and Intricate
    • PABanking: Locked items will not be moved
    • PAJunk: Sell items marked for selling
    • PAJunk: Locked items will not be sold

PA Junk
  • Trash items can be marked as junk
  • Items with the "sell to merchant" information can be marked as junk
  • Treasures (such as the ones found when stealing) can be marked as junk
  • Items with [Ornate] trait can be marked as junk
  • Weapons, Armor, Jewelries, or Glyphs below a certain quality level can be marked as junk (quality threshold can be defined)
  • Junk can be sold at merchants and fences
  • Save time and use keybinding shortcuts to mark items as junk or directly destroy them
  • Mark any item as permanent junk so you never have to deal with it again
  • Items below a definable sell value can also be destroyed instead of marked as junk

PA Loot
  • Informs you when an unknown recipe is looted
  • Informs you when an unknown motif/page is looted
  • Informs you when an item with a not yet researched trait is looted
  • Informs you when a set item is looted that is not yet part of your set collection
  • Informs you when a companion item is looted
  • Informs you when you are running out of inventory space (threshold can be defined)
  • Visually indicates if a recipe, motif, trait, or style page is known (or not) to the current character

PA Repair
  • Repairs your items for you when you visit a merchant (threshold can be defined)
  • Repairs your items out on the field when you have repair kits available (threshold can be defined)
  • Recharges your weapons when they run out of charges and you have filled soul gems available

Question about Auto Selling

Does it automatically sell all stolen items ( if option turned on ) to Fences? Some Items I want to launder instead.
If it does would it be possible to separate the sell junk items to vendors and sell items to fences to two different options.

Thanks for this amazing addon. It has replaced about 3 or 4 other addons.

Thanks for your positive feedback! :)
Yeah, that feature is being finalized right now and I want to release it before end of this week.
Heh. If talking of finalizing, it will be really nice to see it check not the current character, but a selectable one ;)

Or, ideally configurable to something like this:

Unknown by X: deposit; Else if unknown by current: withdraw; Else if known by current: deposit.

Also, would be really nice to see master writs split by skill (and ideally, craftable/non-craftable by current character, but that might be an overkill :)

Second that. Given the Clockwork City crow quests, it'd be really nice to have an option to keep, e.g.:

Dishes & Cookware; Silverware, Drinkware
Children's Toys; Games; Dolls: White
Cosmetics; Grooming Items: Green

... Another option that would be REALLY REALLY REALLY cool is integration with https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info300-ItemSaver.html categories.

That way, it might be infinitely easier to manage stuff.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll look into this!

If that setting is enabled, PAJunk will sell only items that are marked as junk. If you visit a merchant all non-stolen junk items are sold, if you visit a fence all stolen junk items are sold. The addon will never automatically sell anything that is not marked as junk.

I was thinking about this as well when I implemented the check, but I am not sure yet since this might go too deep already for what PersonalAssistant is intended for. I will put it on my todo-list and look into, but I cannot make any promises if and when this will come.

Mh, I could check if there is an easy way to distinguish the different "Treasure" types. If this is not possible, I unfortunately will not be able to add this since I would need to define every item individually that should be ignored.. and there are hundres of them

I'm not sure if that would really be needed? As mentioned above, PAJunk will never sell items that are not already marked as junk. If you anyway want to keep the item, just don't mark it as junk and you are all good

Exceptions

Thanks a lot for this addon, it is saving me valuable time day in and day out!

I don't have ESO+ so I use my alts as mules for crafting mats. However, when I cycle through the daily writ rotation on them I hit a snag when specific materials are needed for the writ quest. ex 'Cornflower"

I was wondering if you could add a simple filter for each profile for items that would override the specified settings.

or extend the behavior of items like lockpicks to specific crafting materials where you could say something like 20 of 'Wormood" always stays at the bank.

For example : Move all alchemy materials to backpack BUT deposit to bank Cornflower, Wormood, Dragonthorn.

This could be used to ensure materials needed for daily writs stay at the bank while other stuff get assigned to the correct profile action.

Glad that you like it

For this use-case, I would recommend you to download Dolgubon's Lazy Writ Crafter. It not only makes crafting for writ quests much easier, it also automatically withdraws the required items (incl. already cooked food/drinks, etc.) from the bank... and PersonalAssistant has a compatibility mode with it so that for the categories where you need items for writs, nothing will be deposited/withdrawn (until the quest is completed).

Huh, I though I already fixed that but seemingly it did not work. Unfortunately I don't have any house chests so I cannot test it by myself if it is working. I have an idea for another "fix" and would appreciate it if you could let me know if that worked with the next update

Generally, it is not intended to work... yet . I'm still not sure how to properly integrate them, maybe have a configuration where you can decide per house chest which PersonalAssistant-Profile should be "executed" for the item transfers. But I'm not sure if that's an actual valid use-case. How do you use your hosue chest(s)?
Tbh I hardly ever visit my house chest (and I only got one). It was a bit luck to stop by there after installing your addon. I usually store things there that I hardly ever use as I don't have bank access in my houses. It might be different story for those whom can and visit their house regularly.

Noticed some of the jewellery materials (mainly pulverized items) that do not transfer at all btw. I can get more details if you need

Thanks for the updates, known/unknown recipes works great!

Yeah, it's not high on my todo-list anyway But since you mentioned it; could I bother you to please check if the addon still does depositing/withdrawing items/gold from/to the house chest after the latest update? I changed the logic a bit around that and am curious if this fixed it now.

Yes, Oliviander also reported that. I already have a fix ready and it will be part of 2.2.1 (planned to be released early next week).

Thanks for the quick reply Klingo!

I do in fact use Dolguboun't Lazy Writ Crafter. It works well for withdrawals from the bank but it does not deposit!

As for my specific use-case it is as such:

I don't have eso+ so I use alts to 'warehouse' specific items. With the use of your awesome addon and the equally awesome Lazy Writ Crafter I can cycle through all my alts for the first rank of all crafting writs in 20 min or so and perfectly dispatch writ bag materials to their assigned alts!

The problem occurs when, for example: Alchemy requires '3 of Cornflower'. My alchemy mule will always soak up all herbs when it's his turn to bank all the writ bag materials and there is no way to ignore certain herbs or maintain stocks of them as it is the case with items like lockpicks and siege items. The interaction with Lazy writ crafter will only work for the characters who have pending writs to complete.

I end up going through several loops on my character list to make sure I manually restock the bank after I figure out the required materials for the day.

If the option to add custom exceptions exists, then one loop would be sufficient to go through all the writs! Saving a ton of time.

Of course this use-case could be extended to people who are using the eso+ craft bag as well. Since one character could craft all the consumables (potions, glyphs, food) and maintain stocks in the bank of ONLY the ones needed by the writs while all other consumables are moved around according to the Profiles.

I made a quick turn up in my house chest and seems it's fixed now, not doing anything.

What fsdragon is asking below, I have my doubts. Looking to BMR, that addon had a lot of various items you could set to transfer individually. But that also cluttered the addon quite a lot and made it super heavy. So my advice would be to carefully think before adding tons of stuff into this one.

My advice to fsdragon is to get ESO+ for awhile or wait for a free trial. Then stock up your crafting bag so it will store your writ mats for a long while. That's what I'll do everytime I decide go back to free sub. Saves you a ton of trouble.

Another extra addon module ? Sure, why not. Some sort of custom user exception list - sounds good too I suppose.

I suppose adding custom retention of amounts specific materials as the addon handles lockpicks would clutter code but a string filter to the banking\backpacking operation shouldn't be too much.

I don't use AvA items so might just hack into the code and repurpose the strings with the annoying herbs needed for the writs (Blessed Thistle,Wormwood, Corn Flower etc...) but I don't really like hacking into addon code like that as it causes headaches later on.

Yes, this is exactly what I am afraid of when too much customization is attempted to be added and that is not what I want. I have some potential ideas how it could be done in a more simple way, but that requires trying out different things to see if that really works or not. Given some other items I have on my todo list, I don't think I will find time in the near future already to do such experiments.

Currently PersonalAssistant does not do any string filtering; this is always very error-prone to translations as it needs to be nailed down for all languages, whereas e.g. itemIDs are always the same and very static.

Actually, PersonalAssistant already supports that without any "hacking", I just never really mentioned it to be a feature But I have to say that I never tried it with items that would already be covered by existing logic.

If you want to give it a try, you can do the following:
  1. Open "/vars/Globals.lua"
  2. On line 350 you can now enter the itemIDs if items that you want to have individually controlled. Here an example for Blessed Thistle and Wormwood:
    Lua Code:
    1. GENERIC = {
    2.     -- Generic container where any itemID can just be added and it will work out of the box
    3.     -- remember to also update PABankingMenuDefaults: Crafting.Individual.ItemIds (generic section)
    4.     30157, -- Blessed Thistle
    5.     30159, -- Wormwood
    6. }
  3. Also don't forget to update "/PersonalAssistantBanking/Menu/PABankingMenuDefaults.lua" around line 141: (I'll make this step obsolete with the next update)
    Lua Code:
    1. [30157] = {
    2.     operator = PAC.OPERATOR.NONE,
    3.     backpackAmount = 100,
    4. },
    5. [30159] = {
    6.     operator = PAC.OPERATOR.NONE,
    7.     backpackAmount = 100,
    8. }
  4. After releoading the UI, they will show up like this in the settings:
  5. When I now visit the bank with the setting that Alchemy Reagents should be Deposited but I want to always keep 20 in my backpack, then the following happens:
  6. First the "Crafting" setting is run that deposits all Reagents, then at the end the custom settings are run and withdraw 20 items again.

So, technically this is already working... I just did not want to add such settings for "every" single item out there

Please note though that when I release a new version for the addon and you update to it e.g. with Minion, it will replace the file and all the changes you did. In that case don't forget to make a copy of these IDs you are adding.

Cheers
Klingo

Whoa! That's AMAZING!

That's exactly what I was planning to do, but now you made it so much easier

So I only started playing like a month and a half ago so I don't understand that much about how the addon code works for ESO but I know enough about programming to know that cheap hacks like swapping some 'strings' would do the trick! The fact that you spelled it out for me is much appreciated!

I only need the custom list for some writ related items so it's not that huge of a list. I wonder if there is a neater way to do it than hardcoding the item IDs in it. Given what you showed me I'll try and make item IDs a variable that I could change in game. I'll post you my code if I could manage it!

I don't know how the syntax handles dynamic containers but if for every category in Banking a simple whitelist of item IDs to compare and skip while looping the operation should work well. If static containers are simpler then a list of 10 items to ignore per category could do the trick.

The good thing about PA is that the interface is very straightforward. I have some experience with addons shuffling around items between alts and banks playing WoW, but it's orders of magnitude simpler with this addon. So thanks again for streamlining inventory tetris in ESO

UPDATE:

I followed your instructions and after a little tussle with some misbehaving commas and curly braces I managed to unlock your secret menu

Here is the code for anyone interested :

In "/vars/Globals.lua"
Lua Code:
  1. GENERIC = {
  2.             -- Generic container where any itemID can just be added and it will work out of the box
  3.             -- remember to also update PABankingMenuDefaults: Crafting.Individual.ItemIds (generic section)
  4.
  5.             -- Alchemy Reagent Writ turn in.
  6.             30157, -- Blessed Thistle
  7.             30158, -- Lady's Smock
  8.             30159, -- Wormwood
  9.             30160, -- Bugloss
  10.             30161, -- Corn Flower
  11.             30162, -- Dragonthron
  12.             30163, -- Mountain Flower
  13.             30164, -- Columbine
  14.         }

In "/PersonalAssistantBanking/Menu/PABankingMenuDefaults.lua"
Lua Code:
  1. ]
  2.            -- Alchemy Reagent Writ turn in.
  3.
  4.             [30157] = {     -- Blessed Thistle
  5.                 operator = PAC.OPERATOR.NONE,
  6.                 backpackAmount = 100,
  7.             },
  8.
  9.             [30158] = {     -- Lady's Smock
  10.                 operator = PAC.OPERATOR.NONE,
  11.                 backpackAmount = 100,
  12.             },
  13.
  14.             [30159] = {     -- Wormwood
  15.                 operator = PAC.OPERATOR.NONE,
  16.                 backpackAmount = 100,
  17.             },
  18.
  19.             [30160] = {     -- Bugloss
  20.                 operator = PAC.OPERATOR.NONE,
  21.                 backpackAmount = 100,
  22.             },
  23.
  24.             [30161] = {     -- Corn Flower
  25.                 operator = PAC.OPERATOR.NONE,
  26.                 backpackAmount = 100,
  27.             },
  28.
  29.             [30162] = {     -- Dragonthorn
  30.                 operator = PAC.OPERATOR.NONE,
  31.                 backpackAmount = 100,
  32.             },
  33.
  34.             [30163] = {     -- Mountain Flower
  35.                 operator = PAC.OPERATOR.NONE,
  36.                 backpackAmount = 100,
  37.             },
  38.
  39.             [30164] = {     -- Columbine
  40.                 operator = PAC.OPERATOR.NONE,
  41.                 backpackAmount = 100,
  42.             }

Now my only problem is that I want to do the reverse of the backpack operation. Whereas it would be "Amount to keep in bank" instead of "Amount to keep in backpack"

I like your Addon, and I have a suggestion. It would be nice if you integrated Crown-Items (like the consumables you get through login) in PA-Banking.
