AlphaGear 2  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 6.8.0
by: mesota [More]
Anything you need to manage your skills and gear.
I've adopted this great AddOn from AlphaLemming and changed the name to "AlphaGear 2" for the version that I maintain.

AlphaGear 2 lets you create up to 20 profiles each with 16 builds that may be activated with a single button press. Each build consists of
  • 7 pieces of armor
  • 3 pieces of jewelry
  • 2 weapon bars including poison
  • 2 skill bars
  • 1 outfit
  • 1 FCO Item Saver gear icon (optional)

Coming soon: Integration with AlphaStyle - Anything you need to manage your style.

AlphaStyle

Version 6.8.0 is compatible with Scalebreaker.

Dependencies

This addon requires the following libraries:
  • LibAddonMenu
  • LibStub

Use cases
  • Switch between different roles
  • Switch between PvE and PvP environment

Known Issues
  • Updating a version prior 6.x with minion doesn't seem to work. Workaround: Delete the .../AddOns/AlphaGear directory and reinstall AlphaGear 2. Don't delete anything from .../SavedVariables. AlphaGear 2 will reuse your already created sets.

Credit goes to...
  • Marify for Japanese translation
  • adrienmoorea for French translation
  • Hoft for Russian translation
  • Snow and many others for valuable feedback
  • UESP for the list of skill ids prior to Summerset

AlphaGear 2 Version Numbers

I use the following semantics for AlpahGear 2 version numbers:
<Major>.<Minor>.<Patch> <Qualifier>

Major: Always "6" for the branch that I maintain
Minor: Increases with every new ESO version:
  • 3.1 (Horns of the Reach) = "0"
  • 3.2 (Clockwork City) = "1"
  • 3.3 (Dragon Bones) = "2"
  • 4.0 (Summerset) = "3"
  • 4.1 (Wolfhunter) = "4"
  • 4.2 (Murkmire) = "5"
  • 4.3 (Wrathstone) = "6"
  • 5.0.5 (Elsweyr) = "7"
  • 5.1.5 (Scalebreaker) = "8"

Patch: Increases with every fixed bug or enhancement within a minor version.
Qualifier: Arbitrary labels like "alpha", "beta" to indicate a version which is not ready for production ;).

Wishlist
  • Outfit/Costume/RolePlay
    • Slot for costume
    • Bind persona to build: outfit, mount, guild tabard, pets, hats

Can you add a feature to enable AlphaGear interface when opening inventory/skill window. This will not be superfluous for those who do not want to use icon/bind key

Thanks for a great add-on!

EDIT**: Actually just realized it's ALL UI elements except for the primary window and the AlphaGear floating icon. Also tried the reset button in the settings and it didn't help. It's just moving those same two elements to the center.
Strange. What resolution do you use?

Thanks!
Addons have a very limited access to the file system. For security reasons, it is not possible to write a backup (or any other file) to an arbitrary folder.

But you can easily copy the AG-Settings (with profiles etc.) from one machine to another. The settings are located in "C:\users\<username>\Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\SavedVariables".
Look for the file "Alphagear.lua"

This assumes that you have standard settings.

-mesota
Oh yes yes yes! This was the fix I needed! Was so simple and effective I high-fived myself

Thank you for helping and making an add-on I cannot play the game without!

Cheers!

LibZone with next update only without LibStub!

As your addon is using this line in it's manifest txt file:
Code:
## OptionalDependsOn: LibStub LibZone FCOItemSaver
-> Btw: I'd remove LibStub from this line as your addon does not need LibStub. Only libraries need LibStub afaik. The libraries you are using shoudl have their own txt file which will have the entry "## OptionalDependsOn: or ## DependsOn: LibStub then)

Attention:
LibZone will be removing LibStub compatibility.
Please check and change your addon's to NOT use LibStub for LibZone anymore but load it via the global variable
Code:
LibZone
instead!

The best would be a scale option.

I don't think that the API provides means to scale a window. And doing it manually (by reducing the size of fonts, icons and the like) would require a complete rewrite of the UI.
What is the root cause of this question? What display resolution do you use so that the UI is too big?

-mesota
Hi mesota,
if you need to rewrite all of course do not even consider this request.
The reason I'm asking it is because I find it very big as interface with big icons in general.
I play in full hd 1920x1080 on a 17 inch screen (notebook).
I use other kind of manager (i.e. Bandits Gear Manager) and I like more the small UI, but they miss an important feature you added (the capability to retrieve stuff from bank and set them back - really outstanding).
So.. I'm keeping both installed at the moment.

Thanks

The only thing I feel is missing on this great addon is the ability to assign CP based on the selected build as per:
https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info...intRespec.html

Is there a possibility of seeing such functionality in the future?
