Due to API Changes that prevent sending of chat messages from addons the functionality is currently restricted!
Nevertheless I continue development due to a friends request to add "local only" dice throws, although at the moment this addon may makes not much sense.

This is a simple addon to simulate Dice throws.

Per default a dice with 100 sides is emulated, but you can choose the upper bound of the dice throw to be any positive number. The result of the dice throw can be posted to different chat chanels

The default slash commands for this are as follows:

/dice [upper] -- Post the dice throw to Emote Chat
/pdice [upper] -- Post the dice throw to Patrty Chat
/g1dice [upper] -- Post the dice throw to Guild_1 Chat
/g2dice [upper] -- Post the dice throw to Guild_2 Chat
/g3dice [upper] -- Post the dice throw to Guild_3 Chat
/g4dice [upper] -- Post the dice throw to Guild_4 Chat
/g5dice [upper] -- Post the dice throw to Guild_5 Chat

/ldice -- Post the dice throw only in your local chatwindow (no one else will see the result)
/yade -- Shows command overview


Remark: Due to restrictions in the API currently only dice-throws in the local chat are supported. So this is only for your own personal fun. (All red commands are unsupported in this version.)

All slash commands can be freely configured.
The output text is available in English, German and French.

I was looking for an addon like this yesterday for an ingame event. But couldnt find anything except for the Throw a coin! addon. I didnt think to look under RP addons, and I tried to search for roll and random, but no result.

But Thanks! now I dont need to use random.org

I will look into it, but I donīt think itīs of high priority.

Also, since I have no PTS access and can not test any changes, the next update will most likely be available after launch.

/dice+4

would return the following:

25 + 4 = 29

Or this:

/dice-3

Would return:

15 - 3 = 12


Would this be something you could implement?

Of course you can fake it. But since there seems to be no official random function in game, I think this is the best we can get.

And from the roleplay perspective: You shoul always double-check if you can trust your opponent not to throw a manipulated dice. ^^
