Binder  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.10
by: Aiiane [More]
Binder provides a way to save and load keybinding sets, including the ability to save the bindings from one character and load them on another.

After install, you can use the following commands in the chat window:

Code:
/binder save SETNAME
Saves current keybindings as the specified set name.

/binder load SETNAME
Loads the specified set of keybinds, overwriting any existing keybindings.

/binder list
Lists the name of each saved bind set.

/binder delete SETNAME
Deletes the specified set of keybinds.

/binder auto
  Manage automatic bind set syncing.
Automatic bind set syncing is disabled by default. If you enable it, it allows you to automatically save the active bind set whenever you change keybindings, and automatically have those changes to all other characters using the same bind set. (Characters without an active bind set will have one automatically created for them named "Charactername-auto" - you can change the active set for a character via /binder load or /binder save.)

- Add debugging information

Version 1.5:

Version 1.4:

Version 1.3:
- Add automatic bind set syncing functionality.
- Add "/binder auto" to manage automatic bind syncing.

I am sure this is a pipe dream but....

Any chance there would be a way to do the same thing with UI/Mod setup?

Not easily - but you can copy savedvariables entries in the live/SavedVariables folder by hand.

Yeah I'd love some way to save all of the addon settings for all of my characters too. It's such a pain having to go through and set them all up again for every character you make. However, I don't think we will ever be able to do this easily

They're in the same files as the account-wide ones - just with character names instead of $AccountWide as the table keys.

This is a godsend for my mules, and for swapping keybinds easily if I want to play a relative's character and not screw up her binds... now I can just load mine, and then reload hers when I'm done!

Hi there. (I have to admit, I was a little tickled to see someone posting screenshots of Squared on one of the unit frame addon threads and asking for someone to make it...)

Sorry about that - there was a bug with the (optional) Wykkyd Framework integration that could apparently also lead to that issue. I just pushed a fix, should be available now (or as soon as the zip is approved).

Binder 1.3 adds automatic bind set syncing, which allows you to have characters with the same 'active' keybinding set automatically have bind changes propagate between them. Enjoy.

spaces in char name

Awesome addon! Thanks for making it!

Character names with spaces will auto-store the bindings in a setname that has a space (just like the toon's name). But because of the space, you can't load the binding which stops auto-loading the binding from working if you have auto turned on.

No biggie, easy workaround to just store/load manually but I thought you'd want to know about it.

Cheers!
