Event Tickets (Clockwork City Event)  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 2.0
by: kafeijao [More]
A simple addon to track the cooldown on the Event Tickets so you can get the maximum of them each event.

Clockwork City Event
To earn Event Tickets during the event, complete the zone’s Daily Quests (located within the Brass Fortress). You will receive two Event Tickets from the first Daily Quest you complete each day in addition to the other regular rewards. Note that the Event Tickets are tied to the Daily Quest timer, meaning they’ll reset at 1:00AM EST.

Witches Festival Event
Warning: Spoiler

For the addon to start working, you have to receive an Event Ticket, only then it will start the cooldown. If your game happen to crash or you force close it for some reason, it will not save the addon info and it will lose the cooldown until you receive the next ticket. To prevent this, you can logout or reload ui (using /reloadui command) after you received a ticket. The addon information is saved automatically when you perform a logout or a reloadui.

If you have any feature suggestion or bug report feel free to hit the comments

The wording of the patch notes specifically point to quests that reward event tickets. Event tickets for the CwC and New Life events are tied to daily quests, so that patch note makes sense.

For the Witches Festival, the event ticket is tied to the first Dremora Skull acquired each day, and the rewards for the Undaunted Celebration are tied to the dungeon finder (which is also on a 20-hour timer). So I that the patch notes are applicable only for the CwC and NL events and not applicable to the other two events.

Uhm that seems odd since I got my ticket yesterday at 20:00~ and today it only came out after 17~ (didn't try exactly at 16 because I wasn't at home). I was getting Dremora Skulls since the morning, and didn't get my second ticket, while a friend that was doing with me got the ticket (she had done the previous day earlier than me).

I will remove the patch notes quote, as they are not applicable in this case, thanks for the note.

I believe that information is already tracked on this addon: https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info...sFestival.html

I don't know what the author wants to do with it after, maybe he will put it being displayed. But that is something you should ask him/her (:

pls add feature to see which type of skull event ticket you got
mean if you got ticket with World boss skull
next ticket you can get only with world boss again, because all types of skull is different timers

ie if i kill other skulls later than i get first ticket - obviously i need to track only first type of skulls - because this way i will get 2nd ticket faster

ZOS has confirmed that the event ticket cooldown is 20 hours after the previous event ticket:
https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/...ail/a_id/43625

It doesn't need to be the same skull type, though.

For example, let's say you earned your first ticket with a World skull. A few minutes later, you kill a Delve boss and earn a Delve skull. Then 21 hours later (long enough that you're off cooldown for both the World and Delve skulls), you kill a Delve boss and then a World boss. In this case, your second ticket will come from the Delve boss, not from the World boss.

I.e., the event ticket comes from the first Dremora skull that you get 20 hours after the previous one. It could be from any Dremora skull that's off cooldown (or one that was never put on cooldown since you hadn't done it yet), not necessarily the same one.

I'm soooo confused!! <grin>...granted all the comments thus far have been before this week's patch was put into place. But it seems that the perception here is that the patch note reference would affect the later events, but not the witches event. So do you believe that the dremora skulls are still on a 20 hour timer after the patch? Further, since the event tickets are granted on the first dremora skull of the day, what constitutes "the day" in respect to the event ticket? On my planet, a day is 24 hours long, and at this moment, my last event ticket was well past 24 hours ago. I got a dremora skull at 3:55 am EDT on Monday 10/22, 5 minutes before Monday's patch maintenance window started. Yeah, I planned it that way when one of the cooldowns ended at like 3:51, hehe. I believe I got an event ticket at that time, and that was about 32 hours ago. But if I didn't get an event ticket at that time, then it's been even longer because I haven't gotten a ticket since. This morning after the first reset of dailies after the patch, I have gotten several Dremora skulls based on monitoring the 20 hour cooldowns but no event tickets.

What's your opinion on this? Are event tickets on 24 hours, and dremoras continue to be 20 hour cooldown because they're not quest-based? I ask here, because I'm not likely to get a full and comprehensive or even any answer from ZOS in the forums. You obviously have no responsibility with this issue, it's just that, from working with your addon, I figure that you may have the best insight as an outsider to ZOS, on how this is truly working.

Thanks very much.

The event ticket has a 20 hours cooldown.

The Golden plunder skull has a 20 hours cooldown (each type has its own cooldown).

What you need to do is get a Golden Plunder Skull (any type) when the Event Ticket is out of the Event ticket cooldown.

If you use the updated addon (updated like 5 mins ago), it also tracks the cooldown on plunders. So what you need to do is the addon saying Available on the ticket icon, and then choose one of the golden plunder skulls out of cooldown (note that --:--:-- means it has no data, so it might or might not be out of cooldown), after the addon has data is should appear Available on the skull cooldown (if its out of cooldown).

So if you got the Event Ticket Available AND a golden plunder skull Available, if you do that type of skull, you will get the ticket, and both the ticket and the skull type you did will enter a 20h cooldown.

Thanks so much for the quick and comprehensive response. I knew it was best to inquire here. I didn't realize that the event ticket was also 20 hours. The thing is that the addon is intended to reflect what is happening in-game, it is not driving it, right. So, if I really haven't gotten an event ticket in over 30 hours, while receiving multiple gold skulls well after that 20 hour cooldown (in reality, not as reflected by the addon), there's an issue with the game. I have submitted a bug, and I'll see what happens with that.

Thanks again.

You've already done a lot with this, but i wonder if you could consider making an addition. I know that apparently, the 3-minute cooldown for regular Plunder Skulls was removed. However, it may not be completely gone. There are varying opinions on what's actually going on. Some feel that whether intentional or not, it's simply inconsistent where some bosses still have a cooldown, some don't, especially in Public Dungeons. I'm convinced and have experienced so far, that the 3-minute cooldown has been removed in general, but it still remains for killing the same boss in less than 3 minutes. For instance, if you are working in a Public Dungeon that has bosses in closely adjoining room and fast respawns, it is possible to kill boss A, go to the next room and kill boss B 30 seconds later, and return to kill boss A again before 3 minutes are up. In my experience, you would get a skull from boss A, one from boss B, then no skull from boss A the second time. It works the same way in reverse, skull from boss B, skull from boss A, no skull from boss B if less than 3 minutes. It is also quite possible that what's being experienced is simply the regular cooldown for loot from a boss, but it really doesn't matter which is happening, because the impact remains the same.

I thought that maybe you could add just a 3 minute timer based on the last boss kill, and reset to 0 each time a boss is killed, regardless of what boss it is. Or you could run the timer until at least 3 minutes have passed, turn the timer green, then reset to 0 on the next boss killed after the 3 minute mark. That might be more helpful, for folks juggling between two bosses, like described above. You could drop it under the Event Ticket timer on its own toggle, so that it could be toggled on/off separately from the gold plunder cooldowns. That way it could be always on like a true timer for such a short period, without having to have all the plunder cooldowns dropped down as well.

Thanks very much for considering this.

I want to keep this addon focused on event tickets, and that feature would be a bit off the scope.

Also I beleive this addon: https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info...sFestival.html tries to do exactly what you described.

Cheers

that's true, it does...i was just hoping to consolidate, and use one addon for all of the event related stuff instead of two different ones. thanks anyway for considering it tho

It would be great if you hooked this up to hide and show with other UI elements automatically. The tool for that is the ESO SCENE_MANAGER; this covers more or less how it hangs together:

https://www.esoui.com/portal.php?&id=27&pageid=12

...and you can find examples by searching the ESO UI code in https://github.com/esoui/esoui for "SCENE_MANAGER:AddFragment".

Basically, you create a "fragment" object with your window in it, and then add it to the scene manager, and ignore it. It hides and shows appropriately. I think the "hud" scene is the one you want.
