The addon for http://tamrieltradecentre.com/

TTC needs localization help! Current plans is to translate for all official languages (German, French and Japanese). If you are willing to help with the translation please go to google sheet (https://goo.gl/q6xBPq) and fill in the German/French/Japanese Translation Columns as much as you could. Do remember to make a copy in case of conflicts or trolls.. cough cough...

By downloading this addon you agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy

For Mac users and people whos afraid of exe file. Webclient (beta) is available online. Go to http://tamrieltradecentre.com/ and select your region. Click on Addon -> Webclient and follow the instructions

LuaSerializer is now on GitHub https://github.com/alt22247/LuaSerializer

Global trade search tool needs YOUR help.

By running our addon and client. Your guild listings as well as any item you seen by using guild store search function will be automatically upload to the site for other people to search and browse. The collected data will also be used to generate price info for everyone~

If you want to contribute more to the community or if you wish to help boosting up your guild's sale by uploading an entire guild's listings, you are more than welcome to do so!

Here are some screen shoots of the site, addon and client

Install Instruction 

1. Download and unzip the files under ESO addon folder (default is Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns) Or you can install it with Minion
2. When you are playing ESO, run the client executable (client.exe) under Client folder
3. Enjoy the game

For first time of use 

For the first time only, you need to go to bank NPC -> click on Guild Store. A dialog box should pop up asking you to wait while the addon scan existing guild listings. When finished, the "Auto scan completed" dialog will show up
.

Q:How does this addon work?
The addon collects all the item listings that you seen in the guild store and uploads them to the site. The site then uses all the data collected by all players to generate price info for everyone.
You can also use the website to search for the location of an item using way better filter than the default Guild store GUI. But it is not guarantee the item is still there since low price items tends to get sold fast. You will have to use your own judgment based on the last seen column to predict whether its still available.

Q:How is the suggested price calculated?
1. Remove outliers
2. AVG(price of the lowest 30% items) * 0.8

Q:Whats the difference between MM's price and TTC's price?
TTC uses the listing price and the MM uses sold price. By statistic and Economic, those two numbers should align given enough sample set

Q: How fresh is the pricing data?
Very fresh! Naw im kidding, its based on Data from yesterday

Q: How big is TTC
It uses around 6mb of RAM for pricing info and around 20mb at most for entries you have seen.

Dug into the TTC code, learned about GetTradingHouseCooldownRemaining()... but TTC's current implementation doesn't seem to help avoid the "Too Many Searches in Rapid Succession".

The whole guild store interface and its search function is glitchy to begin with, I assume due to generic latency, packet loss, general environmental network issues, which doesn't help (even without "Too Many Searches" errors I generally have to restart full listing searches 3-5 times to work around these issues, basically retry until I get a successful full scan, verified by receiving a final page with fewer that 100 items on it). But beyond this, it would appear that the game's own indication of how long to wait for it to be "legal" to advance the search seems to be bogus... i.e. the game tells you it is "legal" to advance the search at a particular rate, but then punishes you for "Too Many Searches in Rapid Succession" when you do so.

At the moment, the TTC addon hardcodes an additional delay of "300" (I assume milliseconds) before advancing a full-listing search to the next page. I increased this hardcoded value to "2000", which improved full-listing search reliability to the point that at least the "Too Many Searches" problem went away.

Could we get an TTC addon option (numeric slider) to control the magnitude of this additional delay (say, from "300"/default to "3000" or some other suitable large number), so we can adjust the page advance timing empirically to achieve more reliable full-listing search?

As well, an automated search based on guild store search constraints entered by the user would be helpful. Currently, initiating a "Scan All Listings" clears the search constraints entered by the user before initiating the search. Right now I am vending a couple hundred duplicate motif pages (earned over the summer and then during ESO's "End of Year Events" that enabled the Indrik mount, i.e. the Witches Festival and etc). For my current purposes, the ability to do automated scans (i.e. scans that don't require me to manually advance through search results, page by page) on just legendary/purple crafting motifs could also help cut down on the volume of data, and therefore search duration, and improve search reliability.

Thanks.
I completely reworked the logic for scan in attempt to make it bullet proof instead of relying on the API to do the right thing.

https://github.com/alt22247/TTCBeta

Would appreciate if anyone wants to give it a try and let me know if it fixes the scan problem without breaking others

To apply the beta patch, simply download and replace TamrielTradeCentre.lua, bindings.xml in your \Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\TamrielTradeCentre folder

It says "Login successful" but nothing further. It continues to work fine on my laptop so I copy/pasted all the files in live\AddOns\TamrielTradeCentre\Client to overwrite the ones on my desktop. I ran the .exe without launching ESO and it successfully uploaded data to the site, but I checked and it was maybe a week old or so. I tried refreshing with new data but after I launched ESO it went back to just saying "Login successful" without pushing my listings.

So then I decided to reinstall completely, and that's where I'm getting puzzled. I deleted saved variables from Minion, uninstalled, and then ran the game. I was surprised to see the popup when you log in that says you need to launch the .exe to pull the item list localization files. I double checked the enabled addon list and TTC was still checked as running. So I suppose Minion didn't properly uninstall?

Then I tried uninstalling manually (deleting all TTC files from \live\AddOns and the .lua from \SavedVariables), but the same thing happened again-- popup telling me to launch the .exe and still enabled in the addon list.

----

Anyway I'm pretty stumped. Is there something I'm doing wrong, or is it probably Minion that's malfunctioning?

(I'm guessing this is why my sales have been particularly bad this week lol... just goes to show how clutch your addon is, thank you for continuing to support it!)
After a reinstall you need to launch the client.exe to grab the price table, otherwise ttc has no data to go on. If you get odd issues in future, I recommend deleting "Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\TamrielTradeCentre\PriceTable.lua" as that will force the client to grab a fresh copy.
That's the thing, it wasn't a reinstall, it was an uninstall that apparently didn't go through.

In any case, I just reinstalled, launched client.exe, then ran the game, and it still told me item table is missing. Then I deleted PriceTable.lua and tried logging in again, but still tells me I need to launch the client.

It's almost like the game forgot where the addon is installed or something?
When you delete the price table, you need to make sure the client.exe is not running, delete the pricetable.lua, then re-run the client.exe (don't do this while looged in to eso). It should then re-download the price table (and say so in the client window). When you run the game it will ask you to scan your guild stores (only after deleting the saved variables), but shouldn't mention running the client.

Here is a batch file I use to kill the client, delete the price table, and relaunch the client:
Open notepad, paste it in and save as a .bat file (make sure it isn't .bat.txt)

Code:
taskkill -im Client.exe
powershell -Command "[Environment]::GetFolderPath('MyDocuments') | Out-File 'docspath.tmp' -Encoding ascii"
set /p DOCSPATH=< docspath.tmp
del docspath.tmp
del "%DOCSPATH%\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\TamrielTradeCentre\PriceTable.lua
start "" "%DOCSPATH%\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns\TamrielTradeCentre\Client\Client.exe"
Huzzahhhhh the .bat file worked! My listings are uploading again :')

Thanks so much! So I guess that means the .lua was corrupted or something?

I might have to make a sticky note about this one. There is a ZOS bug where ESO client would create two addon folders, one is the regular \Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live\AddOns and the other one is random. ESO might decide to use one over another randomly and that causes all the addon data to be out of sync. causes addon not get updated and causes TTC to read the wrong saved data file which could be couple days old.
Just as a quick followup, I continue to have this issue periodically, but running the .bat fixes it every time. I uninstalled the TTC folder from my pts addon folder but it still occurs.

Could this maybe have something to do with my having two ESO accounts? (one on Steam, one non-Steam with a separate ESO installation but same addon folder in /Documents)
try to backup all your saved variable files and remove \Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live folder. Then run the launcher again and it should restore the folder structure. After that put all the saved variable files and your addons back.

Will try to add some more error handling for the scan function. Something like a minimum delay time + retry logic.

Thanks.

I've tried running the client multiple times now but my listing (a motif page) never gets uploaded to the website. I've tried reinstalling the addon and scanning entire guild store this one item is not getting uploaded. no problem with other stuff. Anyone else had this problem?

I have tried to use the web site to upload the TamrielTradeCentre.lua. After I pick the correct file, nothing happens and this error in the browser console: "ArugumentException: (ESOTradeEntry) luaObject, guildName or guildKioskLocationID is null"

Is there a script to upload the file?

Personally, I don't recall encountering that error with Firefox version 64.0 (the current version is 64.0.2). But I play TESO on the PC NA megaserver, so the problem is probably with the TTC EU website.

Arrow Item Name Error In TTC Database

As shown in this image of a Guild Store Trader, the name of the item Big-Eared Ginger Kitten's "Care and Feeding Guide" does not contain a backslash (\) character: https://i.imgur.com/ztVHJGG.png

As shown in this image of the TTC Search display by Firefox, the item name contains 2 backslash characters: https://i.imgur.com/DyBhU4A.png

A search for that item with the backslash characters always fails to find one. The website search also does not find the item after I manually delete the backslash characters from the name. Although I have not used another browser to access the TTC website, I doubt that Firefox causes the error since deleting the backslash characters fails to return any Guild Store which has the item. So I sent my character to several Guild Traders, found three which had that Runebox Fragment for sale, and bought the one that cost the least.

Thank-you for your time and attention to this issue. I use TTC almost every TESO play session to search for items, and the pricing tooltips for items is often very, very useful, too.
