Important: You can't run Zygor's guide and this guide together. It is imperative that you disable Zygor's official guide from the Addon menu. If you run both, ESO becomes unstable. Don't worry though. This guide has everything Zygor's has and more!

Addon Recommendations
- If you use Bandit UI, disable its minimap and go with Minimap by Fyrakin. Here's how to disable Bandit's Minimap.

On March 23, 2018, Zygor Guides announced that they would end support for their ESO guide. Later, via answers given on the forums, they confirmed they would not add a leveling guide for Summerset. Their guide is Public Domain with Zygor's blessing for the community to create guides. So I took it upon myself to create a Summerset guide for the ESO community.

Please note, I can provide some support for existing bugs. However, please remember that I did not author the tool nor those other guides, so my experience is limited. But should you find a bug let me know in the Comments and I will try to patch up where possible.

The Step is 6 on the summerset guide, if you return later on the npc shows up, I'm not sure at what stap that is

So i have just started questing in SummerSet and noticed the Guide is performing very poorly, firstly the distance the guide says are not even close to being right 95% of the time, it will say 30yrds but in truth it's more like 150 yrds
Secondly it almost never Auto Advances now, it used to do that just fine in earlier zones.

is this normal behaviour in this Zone ?

I only have this version active but both the official Zygor and this updated to latest versions

Its so annoying having to press advance on the guide at every single step, at this point i may as well just disable it

Any suggestions ?

Hard to tell from your pic. Which guide and which step?

Nevermind. I know which step you are at and yes you are right there needs to be an adjustment there.

if you can provide the step number that would help.

Hi, Krandor, et al.,

I plan on creating a guide for the new content. The biggest issue I've encountered is assistance. Lua is a scripting language I'm not as comfortable with as I am with others like Javascript, jQuery and so forth. So any work I put into the Addon happens from a limited knowledge base. I haven't heard back from any Lua coders I've reached out to about helping me clean up the code.
Don't think I was complaining because I wasn't. I appreciate all the work you have done to keep this add-on working and if you had decided to move on so be it. I just looked at the GitHub an saw you had not updated anything in a while.

I am not a programmer (I'm starting to learn some because as a network engineer it is coming quickly to my profession) so can't help much on the app side, but I am considering helping create some new guides or subsets of guides. Was thinking like some that just focused on gathering skill points (mostly main zone quest + skyshards) or one for leveling psijic... stuff like that which fits in with a question you asked a while back about keeping LB/shards in the zone guides and while I think they should stay a separate guide for just power through to get skill points might be a good addition. So far though I haven't had a chance to even look at the guide format yet to even think about something like that but am considering trying to help create some guide content or clean up some of the existing content (the morrowind guide which I know you didn't do is a real mess in places)

Pretty sure. Check out my comments on 01/05/19, 11:00 PM about the foglight code. That was a big find. There's still a lot of others that I'm not happy with. Mostly in the Pointer.lua which is map markers.

As I noted in the file everything to the right of the equal sign are ESO UI's public global functions. I am still figuring out how to remove them from making those calls without breaking the Addon's functionality.

Anyhow, I've purchased the expansion and I'm starting the process of working on the TL;DR list.

- New guide for Elsweyr coming soon
- Need LUA help cleaning up the Addon itself so that it runs more efficiently

The Zygor guys did a number on their Addon. They put in a LOT of no-nos that boggle the mind like overriding global UI functions (what?!). I cleaned up most of them, but there are a couple that lingers (for example, the map). Zygor hasn't provided much if any assistance in the form of documentation or when I have a question or two. That leaves me in a unique situation where I can keep creating guides, but the Addon itself may stagnate.

That said, I am still committed to keeping the Addon updated with the latest content and optimized as best as I can. I do apologize for not having an Elsweyr guide ready to go at launch.

If anyone from the Addon community has Lua scripting knowledge and would like to assist with the code, I and those who use the guide would be very appreciative and thankful.

Hi, Jadex. I am planning on creating a guide for Elsweyr once I find time to do (should be soon, I think). My apologies that a Elsweyr guide wasn't ready to go at launch like Murkmire.

There's a Summerset guide. You only need to select it from the addon's menu in-game.

It is updated for summerset.

Just a heads up, it seems the Bleakrock Isle guide (EP beginner zone) tells you to go report to Captain Rana to begin the evacuation early, before it tells you to go do the other quests to find the missing citizens. This will cause you to miss the achievement for rescuing everyone.

For clarification, it encourages you to take the optional Step 2 of this quest: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:The_...g_of_Bleakrock

Workaround as a player is simply to skip forward past that step in the guide, at which point it has steps for the other quests. I'm still on Bleakrock as that character, so I don't know if a duplicate "begin the evacuation" step exists after you've found all the missing people. In either case, just don't talk to Captain Rana about evacuating until you've completed all the other main/sidequests on Bleakrock, which are listed at the UESP link above.
