SummonAlly - manage companions and assistants
Version: 2.0.0
by: TheMikrobe [More]
This add-on provides options to you help you manage your allies (companions and assistants).

Important information following Update 39 of ESO (21 August 2023)
- All of the add-on settings have had to be reset, and you will need to go through and personalise them again. I apologise for the inconvenience.
- Update 39 added resummoning companions after dismissing assistants to the base game. Automatic resummoning of companions has therefore been removed from this add-on.
- The new base-game functionality also makes the old 'Persistant assistant' setting too complicated and unreliable to program, so this option has also been removed. If you want to use your assistant after changing zones or logging in then you can resummon them using the hotkeys or slash commands in this add-on.

The following options are included:
- Set your preferred companion and assistants
- Summon preferred allies with a keybind or slash command without going into your collections menu
- Summon your most recently used companion with a keybind or slash command
- Customisable companion settings for reaction frequency, multi-rider mounts and ultimate use

Slash commands:
- /summoncompanion
- /summoncompanionlastused
- /summonbanker
- /summonmerchant
- /summonfence
- /summonarmory
- /summondecon
2.0.0 (ESO Update 39)

- Variable version changed, you will need to reset your add-on settings
- Removed auto summoning of companions
- Removed auto summoning of assistants
- Added key bind and slash command to summon most recently used companion
- Improved major parts of the code

1.2.1

- Reverted changes to the scan made at log on so the add-on properly knows you have a companion summoned.

Note: The names of Sharp-as-Night and Azandar al-Cybiades are blank in the settings menu on the live servers. They appear on PTS and should appear properly once Necrom is released on live.

1.2.0

- Added a number of extra checks so the add-on doesn't attempt to summon a companion when it shouldn't, eg when dead, falling or entering water with an assistant active.
- Most importantly, if a companion is blocked because you are in a full group an attempt to summon them will only be made when the group changes.
- Stopped the potential infinite loop of summon attempts when your companion is blocked for an unknown reason, which anyway should be a much rarer occurence now. It will now give up after 10 attempts and write a message in chat asking you to manually resummon them.
- The "Persistent assistant" setting now works through your character's death.
- Updated the API version for the up-coming Necrom chapter (updated 38).
- Added support for Sharp-as-Night and Azandar al-Cybiades, the new companions in Necrom.

1.1.1

Removed message spam while I work on the following problem.

Known issue: The add-on continually attempts to summon your companion if you are in an instanced zone with a full party.

1.1.0 re-upload

Fixed pathing issue, no code changes.

1.1.0

Rewrote (twice :D) how the add-on tracks the summoning and dismissal of assistants. The setting 'Persistent assistant' should now work as expected in all situations (zone changes, log off, with or without combat pets, etc.). You may need to dismiss all your pets and assistants then use /reloadui to reset it.

1.0.2

- Fix: Preferred armory assistant dropdown box should now be populated correctly.
- Fix: If you summon a new assistant without first dismissing the old one, then the new one will start following you through zones.
- Cleaned up some code.

Known issue: Persistent assistant does not work when logging off/on with combat pets summoned and it's taking time to find a work-around.

1.0.1

- Minor change so variables are unique across the servers (EU, US, PTS)

NVM it works! Had to restart it.
Yes, it should work for all assistants currently in the game but if you buy a new one from the crown store then you'll have to reloadui (or log out and log in again) for the add-on to find it. The same goes for when your character gains a new companion.

Please provide an option to disable notifications, they're not always necessary for some players. More importantly so we don't end up with a "timeout ban" as has been known to happen with some addons at no fault of the user when a ton of notifications are output. Thanks.

Hi, your SavedVars do not differ by server right? Many players got chars on both (all 3 , PTS) servers meanwhile.
You should consider adding that as different servers and same accounts do not use the same companiosn e.g.!

Add GetWorldName() to your ZO_SavedVars call as the 5th param -> profile e.g.
This will add "NA Megaserver" and "EU Megaserver" subtable to your SV table.

And this rather should be added at teh bbeginning as changing this later wilr eset SV for all users
