Lykeion's Much Smarter AutoLoot  Updated less than 3 days ago!  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 4.5.8
by: Lykeion [More]
Much Smarter AutoLoot (MSAL) gives you full control over your autoloot. It can loot whatever you want and leave those unwanted behind by simply setting your preferences in the addon's filters. You no longer have to loot everything blindly and endure those marked-as-junk things occupying your bag until they are destroyed or sold for hardly any coins.
Please note that this addon focuses on pre-configured autolooting, while Categorizing/Selling/Unboxing looted items is not part of this addon's function. And Destroying is strictly limited to Considerate Mode, which is intended to leave no remnants on the overland after looting.

This is a rework of Agathorn's Smarter AutoLoot(SAL), a wonderful time-saving addon, yet with the API constantly being updated, this unmaintained addon often fails to perform its intended function. MSAL fixed known issues, renewed outdated API, and added plenty of new features, making AutoLoot function powerful again.

Dependencies:
LibAddonMenu-2.0

Optional Dependencies:
LibSavedVars
LibCharacterKnowledge

Features:
  • Provide rule-based filters for all types of items
  • Auto loot any currency if it has no cap
  • Auto loot all items that can be deposited into the craft bag when there is ESO+
  • Keybinding to toggle
  • (New!) 3rd-party price comparison for high-value items (Supports TTC, MM and ATT)
  • Print loot log in chatbox (optional)
  • Special rules for stolen items (optional)
  • Autobind uncollected set gears (optional)
  • Leave no remnants on the overland after auto-looting resource nodes or opening locked chests, with Considerate Mode (optional)

Language support :

I've used as many in-game i18n strings as I can so that even unsupported languages can adapt to most of the content, but there's still quite a bit of text that can't be replaced. Any help in the translation is welcome!

The more optional dependencies you have, the more powerful MSAL will be. But even if you don't have any optional dependencies, MSAL provides you with a rich enough set of build-in options:
For All Gear:
Per Quality Threshold or Per Value Threshold, which are both under your control

For Set Gear:
Only Uncollected or Uncollected and Jewelry or Uncollected and Non-Jewelry or Only Collected

For Intricate Gear:
Type-Based Looting, upon all 4 crafting type

For Treasure Map:
Only DLC Zone

For Ingredients:
Only Gold Ingredients

For Style Item:
Only Non-Racial

For Consumables (Motif, Recipe, Plan, etc) :
Only Unknown

For Gem:
Only Filled

For Food & Drink:
Only EXP Booster

For Potion:
Only Bastian Potion/Only Non-Bastian Potion

......and more

Change Log:

4.5.8:
  • Now when DolgubonsLazyWritCreator unboxes writ rewards MSAL no longer recognizes the box as resource nodes and performs the relevant operation. This is a compatibility change, no other features are affected

4.5.7:
  • Changed Only Aetherial Dust function to Only Gold Ingredients function. This will help the addon react better when ingredients such as roe are present in the container
  • Improved some description texts and added line breaks to those too-long descriptions

4.5.6:
  • Fixed an issue where some containers could be recognized as resource nodes and trigger Considerate Mode
  • API bump

4.5.5:
  • Rewrote the April Fool's Day event. Now it looks more like a joke than the game going wrong

4.5.4:
  • Added some more in-game strings to replace the original i18n strings
  • Clarifies in the description that when an item can be hit by the rules of more than one filter, it will be picked up if it matches any of them
  • Clarifies in the description that all third-party comparisons use the sale average price

4.5.3:
  • Fixed an incorrect scene closing behavior that could be triggered when selecting Loot All in the backpack container

4.5.2:
  • Fixed incorrectly printing logs when using LibCharacterKnowledge

4.5.1:
  • Change the reference price used by the TTC from Avg to Sale Avg. This is more reflective of the true value of the item and less susceptible to price extremes

4.5.0:
  • Added a new Only High Quality option for Print Loot Item Link function. This will only print items that are purple or higher quality to the chatbox
  • Improved logic when determining if a recipe should be looted. Its behavior is now closer to that of the gear filter, as, when multiple rules apply to the same item, the item will be looted as long as any one of them is met
  • Trying again to fix the ghost window issue @ake is experiencing. Thank you very much for the thorough feedback!

4.4.9:
  • Trying to fix the backpack container jamming issue that @ake gave feedback on. This fix is untested because the issue is not reproducible on my PC. If you previously experienced the same issue please let me know if this update works

4.4.8:
  • A newly registered event was introduced to address Auto-close's strategy in different situations once and for all. This event allows this part of the code to be much more elegant than the earlier implementation

4.4.7:
  • Fixed an issue where solutions in 4.4.6 did not take effect on the console UI

4.4.6:
  • Fixed Auto-close not working properly in normal (non-backpack container) looting

4.4.5:
  • Fixed an issue where containers in backpacks that should be allowed to remain open when Auto-close is enabled would still be closed when any of the items in them were looted, and drastically changed the implementation of this feature in the console UI. This improvement, introduced in 4.4.1, is more difficult to maintain than expected, primarily since the PC UI and console UI implement different logic for looting Events and Scenes

4.4.4:
  • Fixed an issue where the window would not close when opening a container from a backpack and looting all of the items in it

4.4.3:
  • Rename Motif & Recipe & Plan filter to Consumables, move Motif & Recipe & Plan to tooltip
  • Adjusted UI to put Consumables-related options together with Consumables filters
  • Added version requirements for LibSavedVars

4.4.2:
  • Added April Fool's Day events! We'll see you next year
  • Added version requirements(U41+) for third-party price comparison addons

4.4.1:
  • Improved the behavior of Auto-close. Now the addon doesn't try to close the container when opening it from the backpack

4.4.0:
  • Added "Only Account-wide Unknown" option to the "Always Loot Unknown consumables" feature. This feature requires LibCharacterKnowledge
  • Improved printing when Considerate Mode is enabled. Destroyed items will now not reprint the looting message to the chat box

4.3.1:
  • Dynamically loaded descriptions of third-party price comparison. The descriptions will now omit unnecessary information when the user enables a supported third-party price comparison addon

4.3.0:
  • Added gamepad mode support for Auto-close and Smarter Close. I borrowed some methods from the esoui source code. It's a real treasure trove! Too bad I didn't have enough time to study it in its entirety

4.2.0:
  • Removed the support to temporarily disable the Auto-close Window by holding down SHIFT, as the later addition of Smarter Close function has already well replaced it
  • Added the support to ignore the Stolen Items Rule for loots when SHIFT is pressed for stolen items

4.1.1:
  • Removed meaningless options from the gear filters. For example, the quality threshold for Intricate gear. These options are a legacy of Agathorn's Smarter Autoloot and it's time to let them go

4.1.0:
  • Rewrote the logic for Auto-close Looting Window and related functions. The reason for this is that previous implementations did not reliably determine whether the window needed to be closed or not
  • This rewrite also improves the implementation of Smarter Auto-close. After enabling this feature, the number of times it takes to determine if a player is opening the same container in a row has been reduced from two after enabling to one after enabling, making it more intuitive

4.0.8:
  • Fixed an issue where the MM attribute was incorrectly applied when using the TTC price comparison

4.0.7:
  • Fixed an issue where furnishings didn't really go through the comparison code block when using third-party price comparison

4.0.6:
  • Fixed the position error of some UIs when being dynamically loaded

4.0.5:
  • Fixed another issue caused by not using LibSavedVars

4.0.4:
  • Fixed an issue where dynamically loaded options in menus were pointing to null values because the user was not using LibSavedVars. Thanks to tobbycat for the feedback!

4.0.3:
  • Fixed a null value issue caused by that the new SV added in 4.0.0 was not aligned with the previous SV. Thanks to tobbycat for the feedback!

4.0.2:
  • Since dynamic loading is used for related functions, a description of the 3rd-party price comparison feature has been added to the Misc Filters menu so that players who don't use the 3rd-party price comparison addon are aware of the feature's existence

4.0.1:
  • Changed some of the quoted in-game i18n string. Their original versions would show redundant markup symbols in some languages that have grammatical gender

4.0.0:
  • Added 3rd party price comparison support. Currently supports TTC, MM & ATT. Available on recipes, treasure maps, and furniture filters for now. If it works well (and isn't buggy) I'll roll it out to other filters in the future
  • Removed the Only Unknown option from the recipe filter and found a better place for it

3.1.8:
  • Improved text description of filtering criteria and auto-binding function
  • Some preparations for the addition of third-party price comparison support

3.1.7:
  • Fixed an issue that the food and drink would be looted incorrectly

3.1.6:
  • Fixed another issue where ingredients were not being looted correctly

3.1.5:
  • Tweaked the conditions for printing lead looting information introduced in last update. Now MSAL will only print information about leads that have not been acquired before

3.1.4:
  • Now MSAL will always print a message in chatbox when you loot leads. This prevents some situations where you don't notice you've gotten the lead you're farming
  • Fixed an issue introduced in the last update where ingredients were not being looted correctly
  • API bump

3.1.3:
  • Added a new value Only Aetherial Dust to the ingredients filter and set it to default to help it work better with Considerate Mode

3.1.2:
  • Provides a sub-option for the auto-close window feature, which allows you to no longer automatically close the window when opening the same target repeatedly in succession

3.1.1:
  • Fixed an issue that occurred when enabling Considerate Mode and Auto-Close at the same time. Thanks to OUmSKILLS for the feedback

3.1.0:
  • Brought back keybinding. Now you can set a dedicated shortcut for MSAL startup and shutdown
  • MSAL now also unregister the appropriate events on turn-off. This is the integrity change that Shadowfen mentioned

3.0.7:
  • Fixed an issue where the addon didn't recognize if the motif was known or not

3.0.6:
  • Fixed an issue where the jewelry node would not be treated as a resource node if it contains a raw trait item

3.0.5:
  • Fixed an issue where Considerate Mode would cause stolen potion base to be looted incorrectly. Thanks to Shadowfen

3.0.4:
  • Fixed some looting cases that were misclassified as resource nodes

3.0.3:
  • Restored Considerate Mode support for resource nodes after adding some stricter constraints on Destroying

3.0.2:
  • Added support for new Endless Archive Currency

3.0.1:
  • Temporarily removed Considerate Mode support for resource nodes, as it still needs some testing without ESO+, which I can't implement at the moment

3.0.0:
  • A new Considerate Mode has been added. This mode is designed to leave no treasure chests/resource nodes behind after pickups. This also introduces Destroying, but it is strictly limited to this mode
  • I noticed that EVENT_LOOT_UPDATED was called much more often than expected, ZOS's differentiation on this event looked too rough. This caused a lot of unnecessary function hooks to be repeated, which could cause rare performance issues when there are too many loots. So I used some of usual throttled tricks in front-end programming to fix the this issue. Now a loot will only call the method that handles the loot once
  • Replaced a lot of text with the game's built-in i18n strings. This will help the addon display most of the content even in addon unsupported languages
  • API bump.

2.11.3:
  • Removed more i18n strings that are no longer used, and restored some strings that were removed by mistake in the last version
  • Some preparations for 3.0.0

2.11.2:
  • Added filter option to loot only exp booster food. After all these years I've finally found out that they truly do drop through the Psijic Portal
  • Removed many i18n strings that are no longer in use

2.11.1:
  • Modified the gear binding policy to avoid duplicate bindings in some extreme cases. Thanks to Darkstride
  • Modified the gear binding policy to prevent it from incorrectly binding crafted gears at certain times
  • Removed the ticket filter from the currency filters, as it now has an official solution

2.11.0:
  • Added a unified rule specifier for stolen item looting.
  • Add a Bastian-only option to the potion filter, since the bug with his potions was fixed in U39.
  • UI improvement
  • Description improvement
  • API bump.

2.10.5:
  • Fixed a bug that in some special conditions the general gear filters would not be applied properly.
  • API bump.

2.10.4:
  • Fixed a bug that the poison filter didn't work properly.

2.10.3:
  • Fixed a bug that companion gears were always autobound even if they shouldn't be. Thanks to Darkstride to point that out, I owe you one.

2.10.2:
  • API bump

2.10.1:
  • Modified the text description of the autobind function to avoid misunderstandings as much as possible

2.10.0:
  • Added a brand new autobind feature! Please use it at your own risk

2.9.3:
  • I noticed that Bastian's potions currently have bugs that don't provide the buffs in the description, and many players complain that his potions take up extra slots, so I added a non-Bastian option to the potion filter
  • API bump

2.9.2:
  • Improved the names and descriptions of some filters to help players better understand what they do

2.9.1:
  • Fixed a bug happening when looting intricate jewelry
  • API bump

2.9.0:
  • Optimized code. Greatly increased the efficiency of the add-on and reduced the number of requests to the server

2.8.7:
  • Solving a long-standing problem. Addon no longer prompts multiple times when blocking currency exceeding the limit

2.8.6:
  • Added French translation, all credits goes to Ch4rl1e. C'est vraiment gentil de votre part!

2.8.5:
  • Adjusted the order of 'Loot Stolen Mats with ESO+' and the wording of the tooltip to help players better understand its function. And now it is unavailable and ineffective when you aren't sub ESO+
  • Improved format of some options
  • Simplify the code

2.8.4:
  • After much deliberation I decided to bring back the default behavior of looting all materials when you have ESO+, but provide the option to loot stolen materials or not. The reason for this is that making "Whether or not to loot all materials when you have ESO+" optional would make configuration combinations very complicated and make it difficult for players to achieve the desired settings.

2.8.3:
  • For unknown reasons keybinding did not work as expected, so it was temporarily removed. The '/msalt' slash command has been added to quickly switch the addon instead.

2.8.2:
  • Fixed the file directory problem.

2.8.1:
  • Remove unexpected debug statements.

2.8.0:
  • Completely renovated the looting strategy for production materials when players have ESO+. Players now have two separate switches to assign strategies to this scenario, and it gives higher priority to loot handling than the "Loot Stolen" option in the general settings. Tell me about any problems you have encountered!

2.7.8:
  • Fixed some logic of looting stolen goods when you have ESO+. Now when you have ESO+, you will use the very corresponding filter to determine whether to loot when faced with stolen material instead of looting it directly

2.7.7:
  • Improved the behavior when the looting object is a stolen material when you have ESO+
  • Updated API
  • Simplify the code

2.7.6:
  • Based on feedback, fixed a potential bug that caused the "Close Loot Window" function to run improperly

2.7.5:
  • Improved the text message of the login prompt to help players better understand the function of the options

2.7.4:
  • Fixed some spelling glitch

2.7.3:
  • Added filter option to loot only collected sets' gear
  • Reorganized the logic of gear looting
  • Fixed some bugs in the .txt file

2.7.2:
  • Added Writs filter supports
  • Added ze unofficial lang support

2.7.1:
  • Changed the name of Keybinding ACTION to avoid potential conflicts with other addons

2.7.0:
  • Add keybinding function to toggle the addon
  • Expand the option of treasure filter

2.6.9:
  • The Reminder at Login now also includes a prompt whether debug mode is on
  • Simplify the code

2.6.8:
  • My friend @MerlinSYK wants to take a good look at his quest items when picking them up, so now MSAL can choose whether to loot quest items automatically instead of directly looted by default

2.6.7:
  • Added a new companion gear filter. Thanks to @Lucex for inspiration
  • Standardized the wording of zh.lua with the official Simplified Chinese. Thanks to @Raven_Wong

2.6.6:
  • Fixed another problem that the new treasure map filter option is not properly applied

2.6.5:
  • Fixed the problem that the new treasure map filter option is not properly applied

2.6.4:
  • Added option to pick up non-base zone treasure maps for treasure maps filter
  • Simplify the code

2.6.3:
  • Fixed the problem that in some cases the addon will pick up the same item repeatedly, causing the game to prompt that the item is no longer valid
  • Fixed the problem that LibSavedVars is not optional as described in the plugin description. Now players without LibSavedVars can also enjoy the convenience of MSAL

2.6.2:
  • Fixed an issue where some equipment filters were not being applied correctly

2.6.1:
  • Improved set filters. Now it can filter set jewelry in a way closer to 2.5.x but more convenient

2.6.0:
  • The set filter has been redesigned to integrate the original uncollected set filter and uncollected jewelry protection into one. It was originally designed to be too complicated for people who are new to using it.

2.5.27:
  • Fixed a problem that the crown item filter did not actually show up
  • Now crown repair kits are regarded as crown items

2.5.26:
  • Added crown item filter
  • Fixed incorrect i18n strings being called in some cases
  • Optimized the filtering process of some filters

2.5.25:
  • Fixed an incorrectly introduced i18n key value

2.5.24:
  • More currencies, including AP, Undaunted Keys, and Writ Vouchers, will now be picked up automatically

2.5.23:
  • After a long wait, the antiquity filter was added
  • Added debug mode output, and put its switch in a more appropriate place

2.5.22:
  • Update api
  • Fixed a bug that caused the bait filter to disappear

2.5.21:
  • Fixed the problem that the container filter do not recognize currency containers
  • Add debug mode

2.5.20:
  • Fixed an issue that some new translations aren't updated in some i18n files

2.5.19:
  • Fixed an issue where the plugin would always warn when looting when exists currency that exceeded the limit.
  • Improved the behavior of uncollected set jewelry protection, which now no longer prevents autoloot when the jewelry is gold, and it no longer causes incorrect skipped loot determination

2.5.18:
  • Fixed a problem that addon can not identify poison base correctly

2.5.17:
  • Added Furniture and Alliance War Consumables filter supports

2.5.16:
  • Based on feedback, the value threshold is back after a brief absence. There are some slight differences in its usage from the original, but overall it is more efficient
  • Fine-tuned menu order

2.5.15:
  • Based on feedback, now no longer automatically disable the game's build-in autoloot when the addon is enabled at load time. This unarticulated mechanism may cause some confusion, and a better solution is being sought

2.5.14:
  • Added uncollected set jewelry protection option. When this option is enabled, uncollected set jewelry will be blocked from being looted, leaving it up to the player to decide whether or not to pick it up. This option is to prevent the collection from being 'contaminated' by lower quality jewelry when there are multiple quality jewelry drops (e.g. if you are farming a normal dungeon but only want weapons)

2.5.13:
  • Fixed the problem that the crafting boosters are not autolooted while ESO Plus is activated
  • Adjusted the order of misc filters. Filters that have additional options are now listed in the top position
  • Rolled back the wording of some options to improve consistency

2.5.12:
  • Added crafting-based segmentation options to the intricate filter. Hope this update will help you in your event!
  • Adjusted the order of some options to increase ease of use

2.5.11:
  • Given that lure is not normally considered crafting material but can still be put into the production backpack, MSAL will now also automatically pick up lure when ESO Plus is activated.

2.5.10:
  • Fixed some issues caused by minimum values not being properly removed from the code

2.5.9:
  • Added unresearched item filter support

2.5.8:
  • Added a trash filter. Also, since the value threshold was originally designed to be a flexible way to screen out the trash, I removed it and its associated filters since in-game values are not universally referenced and trash filters are already in place. If you do think there is a need to keep this design, please share it with me in the comments
  • Modify selection Per Quality Threshold to Above Quality Threshold

2.5.7:
  • Added the option to loot only unknown recipes for the recipe filter

2.5.6:
  • Now MSAL will check the player status when first time installed and used. For players who have ESO PLUS and enabled build-in autoloot, MSAL will turn off itself to reduce the confusion of those ESO Plus players who also want to try this addon. This mechanism is a one-time

2.5.5:
  • Slightly adjusted the color of the description text to increase readability

2.5.4:
  • Materials now will be picked up automatically when having eso plus, regardless of what their filters are set to
  • Fixed an issue where weapon and armor trait materials were not correctly identified by the trait material filter

2.5.3:
  • Expand the non-racial style filter from playable racial styles to all racial styles

2.5.2:
  • Now MSAL can print looted currencies to the chat box as well as the looted items

2.5.1:
  • Fixed a problem that the addon description was not displayed correctly in the English environment

2.5.0:
  • Change LibSavedVars to OptionalDependsOn, which will allow those who only have LibAddonMenu-2.0 installed to use MSAL properly, although LSV is still highly recommended

2.4.3:
  • Added a reminder for Close Loot Window in the login chatbox prompt. If some players inadvertently turn on this option and find themselves can't open the loot window normally, maybe this reminder can give them some clues

2.4.2:
  • The built-in autoloot will now be automatically turned off when the addon is enabled. Although it is still allowed to turn on the built-in autoloot again WHILE the addon is enabled, this will obviously cause a lot of confusion, so please try to avoid doing this

2.4.1:
  • Added only looting non-racial style materials support
  • Motified recipes filter into motifs & recipes & plans filter

2.4.0:
  • Solved the problem that looting a container with Close Loot Window enabled would cause the container loot window to close incorrectly. Thanks to Askedal and Baertram for the inspiration
  • This version is the first to solve all the known issues, so although the update is not much (actually still quite a lot), I still marked it as 2.4.0 and regard it as a milestone. The subsequent updates will focus on improvements

2.3.10:
  • Fixed the Trait Materials filter didn't actually work problem.

2.3.9:
  • Added uncollected set items link support.

2.3.8:
  • Modified some of the default values to reduce confusion when starting to use the addon. The materials don't overwhelm you now.
  • Improved some translations.

2.3.7:
  • Added treasure filter support. Most of the treasures are junks somehow, and the rest are valuable junks.

2.3.6:
  • After I almost missed a Deadland Treasure Map in a chest, I added the treasure map support to MSAL.
  • The jewelry materials are now parts of crafting materials, which only consisted of clothing, blacksmithing, and woodworking in the previews version. Go get some platinum ore lad!
  • Split Trait & Style Materials filter into Trait Materials filter and Style Materials filter.

2.3.5:
  • Changed the way to keep the loot window open. Given that double-clicking doesn't work for looting chests, you can now hold down Shift key when you start looting to keep the loot window open

2.3.4:
  • Fixed a potential bug that you cannot normally open the loot window when the Close Loot Window option is enabled. You can now force the loot window to keep opening by double-tapping the interaction key with this option enabled.

2.3.3:
  • Seperated alchemy reagents from crafting materials in material filters

2.3.2:
  • Fixed an issue that enables looting uncollected set items will result in looting everything uncollected whether it is a set piece or not. Bruh such a dumb bug I made :(

2.3.1:
  • For those who don't want to see the login reminder of MSAL, you can now deactivate it in general settings. (Oh please, who don't want to see such a cozy little reminder ):< )

2.3.0:
  • Added uncollected gears looting support
  • The 'Per Quality OR Value' is removed to simplify the usage
  • Added filter classification. You can now find filters you want quickly

2.2.7:
  • Removed the 'only legal' option to reduce confusion. Whether looting booty or not is now completely under the control of the 'Loot Stolen Items' checkbox in the general setting

2.2.6:
  • Added soul gems filter option that you can choose to loot Only Filled gems now. Noticed some other addon still loot empty soul gems from the writ box, which can't be controlled by MSAL.
  • Added jf i18n support

2.2.5:
  • Updated API version. Made some tests for the High Isle on the live server and seems MSAL is doing its job well
  • The 'only stolen' option hardly makes any sense so it is removed from the loot filters to simplify the usage. You can still enable the 'Loot Stolen Items' in the general setting to enable looting booty

2.2.4:
  • Added currency check when looting currency. The currency looting will be blocked if it will exceed the currency max cap, even if you set the filter to Always Loot. You can safely set tickets and crystals filters to Always Loot now
  • Also changed the default value of tickets and crystals filters to Always Loot

2.2.3:
  • Slightly improved the flow of enable/disable, remove unneeded code block and logic

2.2.2:
  • The deadlock bug is fixed so the enable/disable option is brought back. You can now enable/disable MSAL in the setting panel easily

2.2.1:
  • Fixed registerForDefaults doesn't work problem. You can now reset Much Smarter AutoLoot to defaults much smarter!
  • Removed the enable option in the setting panel since it may cause a bug that once you disable it you can never enable it again. Still, you can disable MSAL in addons list

2.2.0:
  • Added account-wide settings support. LibSavedVars be praised
  • Replacing New() with NewCharacterIdSettings(). MSAL is now character rename safe
  • Simplified the options of the filters which don't need a quality/value threshold
  • Fixed the problem that in some cases the default value threshold is not set to 10 correctly
  • The registerForDefaults isn't working as expected so it was removed temporarily for further inspect

2.1.9:
  • Fixed a bug that the furniture materials looting may work incorrectly in the non-English environment

2.1.8:
  • Fixed a bug that leads to confusing furniture materials filter and ingredients filter together

2.1.7:
  • Fixed a bug that leads to looting all armor ignoring the armor filter

2.1.6:
  • Added containers loot support
  • Separated enchanting runes from glyphs to help users to have better control over looting them
  • Unified the singular & plural in SVs. Notice that it may set the affected old versions' SVs to default

2.1.5:
  • Added transmute crystals loot support, which is set to 'Never Loot' by default to avoid unexpected loss
  • Now MSAL can detect jewelry raw trait material and jewelry trait material correctly
  • Changed some descriptions in the setting to reduce the confusion

2.1.4:
  • Added event tickets loot support, which is set to 'Never Loot' by default to avoid unexpected loss

2.1.3:
  • Added Telvar Stone loot support

2.1.2:
  • Raised the default value threshold to 10
  • Added some i18n support

2.1.1:
  • Cleaned up the remnant of LibStub in the source code
  • Added megaserver support in saved variables
  • Added dependency check

2.1.0:
  • Removed the libs subfolder and use #DependsOn in .txt instead

2.0.3:
  • Fixed a bug in addon setting logic that may lead to the disappearance of the setting panel

2.0.2:
  • Added version update module

2.0.1:
  • Changed the filter order to make it more reasonable
  • Added descriptions to the path of the game's built-in AutoLoot

2.0.0:
  • Updated API
  • Added i18n support
  • Added Ornate and Intricate looted items' trait printing support
  • Added jewelry filter support
  • Fixed logical problems in detecting Ornate and Intricate items
  • Fixed logical problems in detecting jewelry's trait
  • Fixed logical problems in distinguishing the type of items
  • Modified the layout of the addon panel to improve the usability
  • Removed destroying items setup, which is needless and causes confusion

MSAL does not perform any subsequent actions after looting the container into the backpack. The behavior you mention may be provided by Lazy Writ
I thought it might be, so I turned off that function on lazy writ, still happening. Then I tested it by:

1. Turning off Lazy Writ then reloading UI... still happening.
2. Turning back on Lazy Writ and turning off Much Smarter AL then reloading UI, and the "problem" went away. Was able to open and look at contents before "accepting" the chest.

Maybe some other addon synergy?

Anywho, thanks for the reply.

I quickly tried the 4.5.2 version and it seems to have solved all the problems, no more ghost container.

Thanks for the super quick fix and your dedication to developing addons for the community.

In a recent update I changed the logic when opening a container from a backpack, this may have broken some of the window closing behavior, I'll check and fix this as soon as possible. Thank you for the feedback!

This should be fixed in v4.4.4

I've confirmed the issue and uploaded a fix. Thank you for your feedback!
Just gave it a try and got the following:

Appears to be a similar error but a different code
Strange. Are you on version 4.0.3 and is this issue still occurring after reloading UI?
Yes, I had gone back to 3.1.8 as that didn't get me error messages and just now redownloaded version 4.0.3, reloaded UI and received this one this time:
I think I found the problem. Version 4.0.0+ loads the dynamical options into a null pointer if users are not using LibSavedVars in the optional dependencies. If you are not using LibSavedVars, this is most likely why the problem occurred. I have uploaded an update for this, it should solve the problem. I apologize for my oversight and thank you for your feedback!
I did not have the optional Lib, but I'll just go grab that now that I know that is the issue. However, I did receive this error code after installing 4.0.4 before I came back to read that the optional lib is why
Copy and update. This update should be the last piece of the puzzle. Phew!

Great addon!
Greetings. May I ask if you are using the latest version? In 3.1.3 I introduced a bug about looting ingredients, but it has been fixed in version 3.1.4+
Hey! Yeah I'm using newest version. Maybe I'll remove saved variables to it to fully reset idk
Thank you for the info. I tested looting Red Meat on my character and it looks like MSAL is working as expected. Can you tell me the settings in your Provisioning Filter? That might help
Okay. MSAL auto loots provisioning's correctly if I enable the option to pick up everything. After switching to 'Only aetherial dust' / 'Never auto loot', even with eso+ it stops picking up for example Red Meat
Thank you for the further info. I don't have an eso+ sub at the moment so my test can't cover every situation, and the details you have provided have given me some heads up. I will see what I can do.

Should be fixed in 3.1.6
