Overview
When you mount/ride, this addon changes one of your action slot to skill ability 'Rapid Maneuver'(RM) or its morph. The replaced skill ability will be restored after you use RM or dismount. Switching to RM will happen again before the buff timeout according to your settings if you are still riding.

Also you can manually switch RM in your slot by a key binding provided by this addon, e.g. switch to RM while running in a dungeon where you cannot mount.

Notice
Due to the game limitations, slotted skills cannot be changed in combat, so use RM whenever it shows up and avoid keeping RM in slot too long. If you get engaged in combat with RM in slot, the replaced skill will not come back until combat is over.

Well, your writing was not clear about that. As you have added the text "Get of of combat" now it's more obvious that you were not in combat as the skill should change.

And your bet was wrong Unlike others I test a lot, even not my own addons, as I'm familiar with the "code" and able to check some more details. So I have tested them all before "inking", as I was having some similar problems, like written in older posts of mine.

I found out that your reported bug here, similar to your 3. ("Rapid stays on the bar and I have to manually remove it + put the original skill in its place, as not even another use of Rapid will switch back to the original skill") is happening if I do the following:

Not sure if this part is really needed:
>>>START
Mount.
Use rapids, it will disappear.
Re-use it (or not) if it appears again.
Unmount.
<<<END

Change zone or go into a Cyrodiil campaign e.g.
Mount.
Rapids is shown on active bar e.g. 1.
Do not use it.
Switch action bars to bar 2.
Rapids is not shown there.
Switch back to bar 1, rapids is shown there.
Unmount.
Rapids stays on bar1, even if you use it afterwards.

Not always reproducable but I think the reloadui + bar change to bar not showing the skill somehow causes it.

I did think, unlike you in this case, and I bet you haven't tested this issues I reported before you felt the urge to "ink".

I'm not sure why this should be a bug? If you use it, it will despawn (depening on your settings of the addon). And about 1second (also depending on your settings) before it will end it will spawn again on your action bar. Automatically, and this is good as I want to re-use it each time it ends to be able to use my mount with speed
If you want to remove it just use it again then.
Else change the settings and use the keybind to manually spawn the skill on your action bar at the time you need it.

I have several cases in which the original skill in the 5th slot isn't changed back after using Rapid Maneuver:
- Getting in combat just after using Rapid
- Sometimes it just changes back randomly to Rapid at the end of its duration and keeps it on the bar, even without having been in combat
- Dying just after having used Rapid

Gamepad Issue

My sorc has volatile familiar in ability slot 5, which is the slot I have configured for ARR.

Mounting while using a gamepad results in the volatile familiar de-spawning. When using kb&m, the pet remains active (does not de-spawn). It hasn't always worked this way, and the desired behavior is the pet does not de-spawn, regardless of gamepad or kb&m (if possible).

Found another small bug:
If you mount and skill 5 e.g. was exchanged to Rapids, you use it.
After that you fall of a clif and die. Next time you mount rapids will not be slotted to skill slot 5 until you unmount and mount again.
Maybe reset the timers etc. of your addon as one dies -> EVENT_UNIT_DEATH_STATE_CHANGED("player", isDeadBool) with eventfilter on "player" unittag!

I often have a problem like this:
I mount, the skill on slot 5 is exchanged to rapids. I use it and after like 1 second it will deslot again (a few weeks ago it was doing this directly after using the rapids skill, now it stays there after usage a bit longer?) -> back to normal skill 5.
1 second before the end rapids will be on slot 5 again, automatically.

2 possibilities now:
a) I'm not using it again
b) I will use it agaion and it stays at the slot 5 for 1-2 seconds after usage, like described above.

If I directly unmount then (a) without usage or b) directly after usage before it got changed back to normal slot 5), by just pressing the right mouse (block) or using the mount keybind, the 5th slot will stay on the rapids skill?
Why isn't it changing back to my normal skill on slot 5 then upon unounting?

I'm definately NOT in combat nor have I been a single time in combat since last reloadui.

No other action slot related addons enabled.
Only Addon Selector, LibDebugLogger, DebugLogViewer and inventory related addons like FCO ItemSaver and AdvancedFilters.

This won't be possible AND it would be against the TOS of the game you have agreed to. It would be "botting" and thus cannot be done (for god's sake) by any addon code.

Getting a bug where it is switching to rapids inside a delve. Right outside the delve, I was mounted, dismounted right into combat, killed enemies, then entered the delve. I was running around and using my skill that's normally equipped, but at random later in the delve during combat it suddenly switched to rapids.
Also, is it possible to implement the equip only to a certain bar?

Edit: happens any time I'm in combat, had to uninstall it, that's too big of an issue to be using this.

Got somehow a bug or annoying feature:
If you do not own the skill "Rapid m" yet (e.g. new char below level 10) and slot 5 of the action bar was empty (only owned 3 skills so far so slots 1 to 3 were set and 4 and 5 were empty):
Your addon is switching the chosen slot (5 e.g.) after mounting to the skill of slot 3. Slot 3 was empty all of sudden and my skill from slot 3 was at slot 5 then ?!

I'd simply make the addon not work if rapids is not owned at all (e.g. below level 10 and if the skill is not owned afert that).
