Inventory Insight  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 3.26
by: manavortex, AssemblerManiac
One Inventory to rule them all!
(Items from banks, house storage, and all of the characters on your account! All in one place.)

What does it do?
  • tracks everything in your characters' Bags, Bank, Guild Banks, CraftBag and Storage Chests
  • tracks items in House(s) (configurable)
  • keeps track of the Gold / AP / Telvar Stones / Writ Vouchers for each character
  • keeps track of the space used/available for each character
  • allows filtering your inventory by item type
  • lets you search the items by name, or by set name
  • adds data to item tooltip showing you where that item is located (all popups/tooltips, or only when over the Inventory Insight window)

Recently added features:
  • FCO Item Saver integration
  • Guild banks tracking is now separate between world servers
  • Jewelry filter is now on main bar (to match rest of base UI)

Library dependencies: (all are available here at ESOUI)

Backlog:
  • Track multiple accounts: Voodoo might be possible

Where do I send massive qtys of gold or mats (or not so massive)?
We gladly accept donations:
NA: @AssemblerManiac
EU: @manavortex
3.26
- close button can now be set hidden (Inv Insight can still be toggled by key, or from settings)
- when you stop tracking a guild bank, all of it's items will be successfully removed from list
- tooltip (popup static and mouseover) now obey the "when to show IIfA data" settings
- Elsweyr style names added

3.25
- removed Jewelry from the Armor sub-tab
- now using numerics as keys in more places to improve speed
- runeboxes are now stored as an ID instead of a link to prevent embedded level info from causing phantom duplicates to show
- new min/max button to blend in better with overall theme

3.24
- worn indicator now has tooltip so you can see what it means
- when you right click an itemlink now, you can set the IIfA filter to the item name so you can quickly find it in the list. It also makes IIfA visible.

3.23
- tooltip font face now working
- tooltip size option removed - it's built into the font selection

3.22
- guild bank settings shouldn't be linked together anymore
- guild bank data delete followed by trying to change guildbank to On no longer causes script error

3.13a
- bad reference in settings adapter fixed

3.13
- line 519 error fixed
- heavy armor selected dropdown list has proper slots listed
- mouseover on equipped items shows proper counts for poisons and weapons, both mainhand and offhand
- gui layout issues fixed
- item detail dropdown filter back where it came from (more or less)
- debug info in datacollection line 104 moved to line 102 so user can debug better
- misc task removals to minimize background task occuring while user actively mousing

3.12
- Hotfixes

3.11
- Nil fixes and crash fixes
- Nailed down the dropdown for armor types

3.10

3.04
- Everything seems to work?

3.03+a

- Added icons for Clockwork, Dreadhorn, Bloodforge, Apostle and Ebonshadow

2.16a
- about that startup thing - it's been tested now, and works properly

2.16
- startup code on fresh install no longer throw errors
- min/close buttons locked to top right corner instead of top label

2.15
- version # in addon is consistent again

- New right click options (filter by item name, filter by set name)
- Improved text search processing (a "-" in Twice-born star doesn't fail to find anything anymore)
- Added writ vouchers to Gold Info popup

2.11
- Right click options for Link to chat and missing motif processing (when you're trying to build a set before learning it OR already know it and are building a set for someone else)

2.9
- New setting (Search Set Names) to control how the text filter works. If on, typing in the search filter will also show items with set names (it's additive, so it works by item name OR set name).
- New item on the list GUI. Directly above the text search area, there's a checkbox "Filter on Set Name only". When checked, ONLY items from Named Sets (crafted or dropped) will appear in the list, and any text in the search box will be looked for only in set names, not the name of an item.

2.8

- added sub filter for Recipes - now lets you filter on Food, Blueprint, Praxis, etc.
- new icons for added motifs, updated motif text to match real names
- items are renamed at every login, and after reloadui. If you change language, the names on the items will now reflect that change, instead of only after one has been removed from everywhere and re-added

No, there really isn't an easy way to export it. An external LUA program could reference and read data from the data table, but it wouldn't be something that a non-programmer could write, and I really don't have the time to do it. There's also some data missing (player -> ID lookups, housing ID lookups, storage chest names), that's not available without the game client, and IIfA doesn't store any of it.
Ok, thanks for the answer.

This is the second or third time I've seen this, and they have all been related to bad saved data.

Exit ESO, go to your saved vars, rename or delete IIFA.LUA.
Try running again and see if the problem is gone.

What it's basically trying to do is sum up the item counts from various places (pack, bank, extended bank, etc.). One of the items has bad data that isn't numeric and causes the crash. Since this is never supposed to happen, the code wasn't written to handle it.

In theory, yes. In reality, no it's not.

Every item stored has a location to go with it (bag backpack, bag bank, worn, housing storage, house, etc.) Each item would need an account association to go with it, and that's a lot of additional data to sort through for display and searching. It would require re-writing the entire data handling portion of the addon.

The time cost/benefit for it just isn't worth it. (the list of things that would need to change is huge)

This add on is a godsend. Thanks so much for your effort!

Would it be possible to have it track across multiple accounts?

If delete database isn't working, there's a good chance your version isn't current. Do you know what version you have installed? v3.26 is current version.

Under Settings/Manage Collected Data, the first item is Wipe Database, below that is Delete Character.
I have the updated Version (v3.26 aswell) but my button does not do anything...

Edit: I found that another Addon messed with it. So its fixed now!

That looks like corrupted data.

Is the error when you're doing something specific, or does it come up when you login?

Do you know which character you were on when it started?

I know it's a pain, but you can clear the database one character at a time, and reloadui, and once the problem goes away, just re-log with those characters for whom you deleted data. If it's a guild bank, same thing, where you delete data for one at a time.

Sorry, this just can't happen. At least not with the built in, vanilla, locking function.

Items can exist in multiple locations (hence a count that includes more than one place), and trying to figure out which one of those places you want locked isn't something I'm interested in doing.

Check out FCO ItemSaver. There's integration with it in IIFA that lets you lock/unlock items. It locks them by itemlink instead of bag/slot, so locking one item will lock them all.

Hmm. The addon Inventory Assistant could actually do that exact thing I requested before with the vanilla locking function aswell. But thanks anyway. I respect your decision
What I was trying to say was that I can't just call the vanilla function straight up because items can exist in multiple locations (bags). Choosing which char/bank & bag/slot, and making a queue of items to be locked next time you're there (and housing makes it even messier) would take way more time that I have available right now.

This is with any of my other addons turned on and with them all turned off.
The line that's causing the crash has been fixed for a couple of versions. How sure are you that you're on current version?

If it is current version, try this:
/script IIfA.database = {}
/reloadui

This will clear out the item database and let you start from scratch. The cause of the crash is probably corrupted data, but there's no good way to figure out which item is causing it.
