Pillager Indicator

A very simple addon which shows a UI overlay and plays a sound if the player received the Pillager's Profit buff.
While wearing Pillager this addon should not do anything, it was made to show group members if they get the ultimate from it.

It was made to be as little intrusive as possible, so there will most likely not be a cooldown or similar until i figure out how to show this without putting a huge icon on the screen.

Settings:
  • Enable Addon
  • Change color / opacity
  • Change Sound on buff start
  • Test your settings

Slash Commands:
Code:
/pi = /pillagerindicator = /pillager

/pi test - Test the addon
/pi resetUI - Reset the overlay if stuck
/pi toggle - Enable or disable the addon
/pi state - Check if its currently enabled or disabled
/pi version - Prints the current addon version
/pi resetSettings - Reset the settings to default
/pi settings - Opens the addon settings
/pi help or /pi - shows a list of commands

Yes thats correct. The reason why i put it around the screen is that its one of the most important buffs in PVE content. If its around the screen its less likely to be missed and since it will tick every 2 seconds its imperative you use your ultimate as soon as possible since every missed tick means you lose value.

It will not blink every 2 seconds, it will show the overlay for the duration of the buff so 10 seconds.

It may be distracting for some, but people can chose the opacity in the settings to make it less destracting and the point of the addon was to make sure people do not miss that they have that buff.

As for the floating text, there are already so many addons which do that which in my opinion wouldnt really help since its "just another text".

However, all of this was made from a end game raider perspective where every little thing matters so i am completely okay with some people not liking the idea

Wouldn't it be somehow good to show that kind of green border at my ultimate slot then, instead of around the screen?

Is your border blinking every 2 seconds then, for 10 seconds (that's what the set's buff says it will provide ultimate incoming to me) ?
That would be very distracting imo.

Maybe adding the gained ultimate values from Pillar as "floating on screen combat text" (similar to incoming dmg/heal, with a special color) would be an idea?
+4 ultimate (Pillar)
+2 ultimate (Pillar)
