DESCRIPTION
This addon includes many camera features to enhance the game experience.
Gain total control and enjoy all the world using the camera settings you want, depending on what you do.
  • Use bindings to center or to swap shoulder.
  • Prevent the camera to change on interactions (like chatting or using craft stations).
  • Use events to trigger camera changes with transition: chatting, riding, stealth, combat, draw/sheath weapon...

SHOULDER SWAP PREVIEW
Sometimes, when we're sneaking around corners… Thieves, assassins, or whatever…
It could be nice to have a key to fastly change the camera horizontal position, don't you think?
(That was the only thing this addon used to do, when it was just “NTak Camera Swap”.)



LANGUAGES

BINDINGS
  • Swap camera shoulder side
  • Toggle camera in center position
  • Toggle siege camera

SETTINGS
  • Camera distance and horizontal/vertical offsets (override the regular camera settings)

  • Choose whether to use the transition movement or not
  • Choose if swapping should stop in center (if using only 1 binding: 1 hit to center, 2 hits to swap)
    ⋅⋅⋅
  • Prevent Camera change on interactions : talking to NPCs, using craft stations, lockpicking, reading, siege.
    That really is better for immersion not to change the camera on each interaction! You can't imagine.
    For example, when you talk with someone, the camera won't focus on them.
    (I recommand to allow the camera change for “Stations”, anyway, that's strange to craft without moving.)
  • Customizable dialog window width
    ⋅⋅⋅
  • Pick action to perform on camera when chatting, mounting, in stealth, wielding weapons, and in combat.
  • Action can be picked between: None / Center camera on 3rd person / Switch to 1st person / Custom (Do what you want).
  • For some events, there is also a customizable delay before changing back to normal.

  • Get feedback from users Don't hesitate to comment or to ask for a new camera feature!
  • Add other new functionalities (I just need to think about that)

Sorry to hear you found a bug somewhere.
Anyway, that's an interesting issue. I may have an idea of what could be causing this.

This works great, except somehow my vertical offset keeps changing (it keeps making it higher). I keep it set to center in 3rd person for pretty much everything, but it changes my vertical offset from 20 to 40 or 60 several times during my play sessions, and I haven't been able to figure out what triggers it.

I'm sorry to read that you encountered an issue. Does it happen using the last version ?
I am not able to reproduce your issue. If you can share your settings, I'll be glad to help.
As I modified many things with the last updates, you may try to restore default settings of my addon, and then modify back to your preferred settings.

I admit it will be “kind of” easy to have different keybinds to load/save camera positions.
But I don't know what it will take to add a pop-up of dropdown list somewhere. I may be looking into that in the future.

Mostly thought of using it for stealth, but oddly, "peeking" (shoulder swap) doesn't seem to work.

I have keybind set to shoulder swap, but hitting it switches between a right shoulder view and center view, not swapping shoulders. Tried to set "swapping stops in center" on, also swaps only between the center and right shoulder.
(I have to set "preferred camera" manually to left shoulder to switch.)


Another thought -- maybe add a keybind for a pop-up selection (or if possible, I don't know whether there's an option to do that, on holding, not tapping) kinda like quickslots, so a desired camera position can be selected on the fly, not pre-selected? (Or a drop-down if that doesn't work.)

Just wanted to send a THANK YOU! This add-on has really improved my immersion as well as saving me from constantly adjusting my camera.

I like close for dialog. Very far 3rd person for exploring and semi-close 3rd person for combat. I now have all that automatically done!

I managed to create a setting that transitions beautifully without the initial jump.

For combat camera, I set the horizontal to -0.5

And my horizontal offset is set to 66% in the Game's camera menu.

Thanks for your amazing work, ill just keep stealthy disabled for now but Im soooo happy! I always had to manually zoom my camera out and in when exploring/combat and now its just automatic.

edit: to clarify, I wanted an close over-the-shoulder camera for exploring... and a zoomed-out center camera (like zelda) for combat. With those settings this works wonderfuly
