AlphaGear 3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)
Version: 1.0.0
by: sir-celsius [More]
Alphagear 2 seems to be unmaintained. This is a working version for update 7.0.5 (Blackwood).

I do not intend on maintaining this in the long run, and the changes I made are very minor compared to the versions 1 and 2 by AlphaLemming and mesota respectively, so all credit goes to them and the original contributors!

----------
ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION BE mesota
---------

Anything you need to manage your skills and gear.
I've adopted this great AddOn from AlphaLemming and changed the name to "AlphaGear 2" for the version that I maintain.

AlphaGear 2 lets you create up to 20 profiles each with 16 builds that may be activated with a single button press. Each build consists of
7 pieces of armor
3 pieces of jewelry
2 weapon bars including poison
2 skill bars
1 outfit or
1 style (outfit, costume, pet etc. using AlphaStyle integration) (optional)
1 FCO Item Saver gear icon (optional)
1 Champion Point Set using Champion Points Slots add-on (optional)

Please backup your AlphaGear settings prior update!

Now available: Integrations!
Champion Points Slots - Manage your Champion Point Settings
AlphaStyle - Manage your Style
FCO Itemsaver - Manage your Inventory

Breaking Changes
If you use poison, you'd have to reassign the right type of poison from your bag.

Version 6.12.0
ESO 6.1 (Stonethorn)
New: Flashing swap weapon button, if skills need an update
New: responsive UI

Dependencies
This addon requires the following libraries:
LibAddonMenu2

Known Issues
Updating a version prior 6.x with minion doesn't seem to work. Workaround: Delete the .../AddOns/AlphaGear directory and reinstall AlphaGear 2. Don't delete anything from .../SavedVariables. AlphaGear 2 will reuse your already created sets.

AlphaGear 2 relaunch

Hi folks,

if you're using AlphaGear 3 I'd recommend to switch back to AlphaGear 2.

AlphaGear 2

AlphaGear 2 will be compatible with the builds you created in AG3.

With the return of the original author of Alpha Gear2, you're probably better off reporting any glitches you find to the Alpha Gear2 comments section or his GitHub repository.

it can't set gear if excavation item to other it

So I want to modify it, so I think "sleep" syntax can success it.
If anyone know addon's sleep syntax, please tell me.
or if you know other solutions, please tell me.

Any fix coming for this?
I think this Addon is Dead now ... It seems no one wants to keep the code up-to-date .... I had to switch to Bandits Gear Manager which is good but I miss some of the feature this mod had ... Would be nice to see this make a comeback and I still have my fingers crossed ..

So what is the status of AlphaGear 2 & 3? Is this abandonware? Will there be a new fork under a different name? Should we all just migrate to dressing room?

What addon should I use if I want CP management with my presets?

I wanted to enable ChampionPointsSlot integration and had to dig about AG.

Got there is an open repo for AG, that's great. But sir-celsius posted this addon as last "official" update to help. Last update from Mesota is from markhat ie october. Publishing a new version with additionnals credits is common in open source, but I agree that the original code from Mesota doesn't include open licence.

But come on, did you check the AG1 repo ? https://github.com/AlphaLemming/Addons/
There is also no open licence. Is Mesota an AlphaLemming's ****ing idiot ? I dont think.

It's very boring to have to fix an addon from the comments, I had also to do it for LA helper.
Please, merge the fix, lets make it simple.

DELETE THIS DAMN THING

Can someone delete this addon? I'm sick and tired of having it over-write the legitimate version of Alphagear via Minion.

Btw in the alpha gear 2 comments you'll find a fix for the errors with blackwood. Just download this version and your ag2 will work like before.
How that AddOn is still maintained? There is no update since October.

I think the guy here is just trying to provide a service, not everyone is skilled at coding to fix stuff themselves.
Baertram is one of the best skilled developers here and has been maintaining AlphaGear by providing patches that can be downloaded and installed. I suggest we listen to his advice until the original can be sorted out with a developer. It is not good to have different forks of the same addon and can sometimes appear that credit is being taken away from the original developer.
Where are these updates? I did not see any by Baertram anywhere on Minion's site. D'OH nevermind LOL
