Provision's TeamFormation : Teammate Radar  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

TeamFormation is a user Interface for The Elder Scrolls Online, designed to show the positions and health of your teammates, like a radar. I'm happy to share my addon with you, but please don't make a fork of this addon without my authorization.

You can easily see the positions and health of your teammates :

- Healers : See the position of damaged teammates so you can easily heal them.
- Leader : See the position of your teammates so you can easily decide what orders to give.
- Dps : See the position of teammates so you can stay near them.
- Tank : See the position of Healers & Dps who take damage so you can regain agro.
- All : See the position of dead teammates and their resurrection status.

You can set keyboard shortcuts to disable/enable TeamFormation.

Features :
- Keyboard shortcut to enable/disable TeamFormation.
- Dead and resurrection status icon.
- Leader and class icon
- Camera rotation + Character rotation.
- HP Indicator.
- Cardinal point (adjustable transparency from 0 to 100%).
- Movable, Resizable and Scalable UI.
- Customize colors.
- Group interface shows distance.


Commands :
- /tf : open settings panel.
- /tfrainbow : colorate the first ten players.

Language : FR, EN, DE. (French is the main support).


Quick-install guide :
1. Download the archive "ProvisionsTeamFormation_vx.x.x.zip".
2. Unzip the archive in ESO addons folder (delete the previous TeamFormation folder if you're updating)
3. Launch the game, log in, and check that "Prov's TeamFormation" is enabled for your character and then play.

If the UI does not appear it may be because you are not in a group, you need to reload your UI, or you may need restart your game.

I looking for German translation, and english checking for correct grammar and spelling of TeamFormation's settings. See this post.

One function (< 1% of the code) of this Add-on was inspired by RangeReticle of Adein.

Something that confuses me is the rotating player arrow, can you add an option to fix its direction?

It's camera rotation, I will add option in the next update.

In the next version, 2 news options :
- Checkbox : "Camera rotation" -> yes/no
- Slider : "Transparency of the player arrow" -> 0 to 100

I'm really loving this addon so far. Only thing is it takes a bit getting used to the icons moving around in PvP because the movement in my immediate view constantly catches my attention (the whole human fight response).

Have you contemplated using a set of rules to determine both the opacity and information displayed for a players icon? Specifically, keeping all things subdued until something of concern happens.

For example, as a group leader I want to know when a player is getting beyond x range of me. In this case all visuals would be significantly subdued (mostly transparent) and this players icon would become opaque and possibly the player name shown in font size of 5 added for quick identification.

Another rule may be for a healer to configure their behavior to highlight only those players with health below X value for X amount of time.

There's a long list of such things, but I think you get the idea. And I'm not trying to create more work for you either. Just thought you might be interested.

Great to hear. This addon is a very innovative way to inform players about group function, health etc... So selfishly I'm happy to contribute in any way I can.

I PvP'd with this enabled for about four hours last night (as a DPS role someone else leader). The group varied in size from 8 to 16. The settings for the addon were left to default.

1) The floating icons were not as distracting as I thought they'd be with a larger group. Actually, it is the smaller group that seems to be more visually distracting. Either way, this is not a huge concern for now, but think that small tweaks could go a long way in terms of emphasize/deemphasize visuals based on some predetermined levels of importance.

2) I did notice some opacity changes but was not able to determine the pattern at which they were changing. My guess is that this is the built-in distance from group leader function that most raid frames have but wasn't sure. Normally I just look at the code to figure out but haven't had time yet.

3) The location and distance from leader visual in many cases was just plain awesome. Specifically, how in some situations (not sure the conditions that triggered) when other group members were really far away the icons formed a perfect arc/circle in the area of the screen that indicated general direction of where they were. (spoiler for example)

I noticed some red skulls appearing and thought that this was a dead player, but raid frames and minimap did not indicate that we had a dead player. So maybe it was a timing update or I'm misinterpreting what the skull means. (spoiler for example)

4) When we were traveling on mounts, and strung out in a line (too far apart actually) the visual did not indicate this so well. (spoiler for example)

3) In next time, I will add group leader's distance on the down, but I need to find the best solution.

4) I think that it is accurate, but I will check the visual rendering. This ask knowledge in geometry, I do it the best that i can, I have a poor knowledge on it.

(By default it is not circle but it is oval 600x500).

Hey. I really love this addon. Great idea to make this

I noticed that sometimes when I remake a group or re-invite a member it does not show an icon for them.
ReloadUI doesn't help either only relogging fixes this.

Also some of the transparency settings seem to be broken.
I tried to make the player arrow invisible which works fine at first, but after reloading the UI it shows up again.

And the small pauses in icon movement when I rotate the camera are kind of distracting. Maybe you can find a way to make this a bit smoother?

Other than that, great work!

Thanks ! For your post, I fix this issue in version 0.3g, if you set transparency settings to 0, the player arrow will be invisible.
